Vaporesso Swag Starter Kit Preview

Although we received our shipment for the brand new, affordable, Vaporesso SWAG starter kit from our partners at Vapor Authority, we haven’t had enough time with them to offer a full, in-depth, Spinfuel style review. However, with the starter kit comes the Vaporesso NRG SE tank. The Vaporesso NRG tank we reviewed a couple of months back was one of the finest sub-ohm tanks we’ve seen this year, so we expect at least as much from the NRG SE. The NRG scored an A+ with our reviewers, and the SWAG body seems to be a pretty great mod for the NRG SE.

Powered by a single 18650 cell, the SWAG has a maximum wattage output of 80W. For most vaping purposes 80W is surely enough for great flavor and ample cloud production.

The Vaporesso SWAG also features an upgraded OMNI 2.0 chipset, and the video below shows off some of the best features of the upgraded chip. With a full complement of Temperature Control systems, the SWAG provides a versatile vape for anyone.

In addition, the Vaporesso SWAG features a full 2A charging, VT, TC, and of course, the now incredibly popular SMART mode.

Vaporesso offers the SWAG with a standard starter kit, i.e., a 3.5mL tank, and the EU edition, with a 2mL tank. (just the dumbest EU regulation for vaping ever)

Full specs are below, and as soon as the team has spent enough time with the new SWAG we’ll present our in-depth review. It’s not the first impression that matter with vaping devices, it’s how it stands up to use, battery life, accurate readouts, and the value of the starter kit compared to like-featured devices on the market.

After just a couple of hours with the Vaporesso SWAG 80W TC Box Mod and NRG SE Sub-Ohm Tank, I was asked to provide my initial impressions. The following is not a review, and should not be considered as a recommendation…yet. Although the SWAG is a truly attractive and compact system that uses every aspect of the updated OMNI 2.0 chipset (board), with a varied output range of 5 to 80W. So far, I’m enjoying this one quite a bit.

The SWAG uses a single Hi-Amp 18650 battery (we use the 3100mAh 35A Nitecore Cells) accessed through the top battery cap, much like the popular Eleaf PICO Mods, or the SMOK AL85, and is charged via the supplied USB cable at up to 2A.

The upgraded OMNI 2.0 board, features six output modes with the new Customized Curve of Wattage (CCW) and Customized Curve of Temperature (CCT) modes adding an even greater range of versatility over the earlier board.

In wattage mode, or power mode, the SWAG is does a nice and smooth 5 to 80W range, and supports coil resistances all the way down to down to 0.05 ohms.

In CCW mode, users can customize the wattage output from second to second and ramp up the control every half second, which allows users to experience the wattage output based on their vaping style. CCTdoes the same type of thing, with customizable temperatures during usage, and allows users greater control. Bypass Mode, Smart Variable Wattage Mode, TCR, and Ni200, Titanium, and SS316 temperature controlled output round out the array of output modes.

With the Starter Kit model, the SWAG 80W TC comes the 22mm diameter NRG SE sub-ohm tank, a high performance sub-ohm tank that employs an affordable and efficient Vaporesso GT Core coil structures.

Airflow of the NRG SE is positioned on the bottom of the tank, featuring fully adjustable airflow through two 13mm by 2mm air slots. While early experience with the NRG SE yields little difference with the standard NRG, we’re anxious to dig in and see where the SE begins.

The SWAG comes in varied colors, but the Vaporesso Orange, the one I’m using, is by the far, the coolest color I’ve seen in a while, except for maybe the new Resin model of the upcoming SMOK Majesty box mod, the unit I have is just incredible, but I’ll be getting to that one soon enough.  – Tom McBride
