Blackstone Eliquid: Round #4

-A Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review

I was very excited to get into Round #4 of the Blackstone eLiquid reviews. The team and I had enjoyed the first three rounds and I was intrigued to see how this batch of four flavors would fare this time.Blackstone Premium eLiquid Review by Spinfuel eMagazine

As you may recall, Blackstone eLiquid is the second and “Premium” line of eliquid made from Dream E Vapor. These four flavors are from their tasty fruit flavor category. Some of these blends scored very high and for that reason I’m not sure why Blackstone isn’t being raved about everywhere. The quality of the flavorings used in all of Blackstone’s blends is truly top notch. Keep on reading to see which flavors YOU should be checking out….

FLAVORS

Sunny Daze – Berry * Lemon * Watermelon

Spinfuel Review Protocols

If this is the first time you are reading a Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review, we suggest that you take a look at the new protocols we’ve set up for each of the reviews we will do moving forward. You’ll need to know how long we vape the eliquid, in what manner, what we look for, and how an eliquid may earn a coveted Spinfuel Choice Award. In addition, in order to understand the scores and our comments about each one, knowing the intricacies of our methods will give you a greater understanding of the process. Click here:

Blackstone Premium Eliquid Particulars

The bottle sizes that are available are 30ml and retail for $18.99 which is pretty reasonable at $.63/ml for a complex Premium Eliquid. The nicotine levels available for the dripping blends of Utopia, Sunny Daze, Red White, and Red Sun are: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, and 12mg. All of the nicotine levels are available for the 60vg/40pg blend of Utopia with the addition of 18mg as well. The dripping blends are mixed at 80vg+ and are designed mostly for drippers and tanks designed to run high VG blends.

Packaging

Blackstone Premium Eliquid is bottled in 30ml glass bottles with childproof glass droppers. I like the classy, sophisticated look of the line. The black labels with silver writing are neat looking and easy to read. The name is BIG and BOLD. The three main flavor components are on every label, but so are the ingredients, nicotine level, expiration date, lot number, and born on date. The size is of course listed as well as the proper warning. Everything is on the Blackstone labels and done in a structured manner that is appealing to the eye!

The JUICE

We have five to cover today. I’m Dori, the head writer, and I will kick every flavor off with my thoughts and the team will follow. Remember as always, taste is subjective and is in the mouth of the beholder.  We all have different palates after all. Let’s see what we come up with for these for unique blends!!

UTOPIA

“We found Utopia and put it into this bottle of pure honey mixed with our signature cream base with melon’s from around the world. The top note of this vape is exquisitely sweet honeydew. Our premium blend is the same as our drippers blend with added PG for a perfect balance of PG to VG.”

Blackstone Premium eLiquid Review by Spinfuel eMagazineDori: 4 stars. I really like the melon flavor in Utopia, but I can’t believe I’m going to say that I think this is a little too sweet for me at the tip of the exhale. If I crank the wattage past 40 watts to lose some of the sweetness, the flavor really mutes out as well. The cream flavors are really tasty and so is the melon flavoring, but when they smack into each other I almost taste a floral note. I dripped this blend using a Production RDA with a .3-ohm coil build and used a Lotus LE80 mod. The throat hit was mild and there was an excellent vapor production with the drippers blend.

I ran the regular Utopia blend in a Kanger Nano Subtank with a .5 ohm coil and ran it around 20-25 watts. On the inhale, a nice, sweet blend of melons and cream. I can really taste the honey in this one. I think this is a little too sweet in places as well, but it’s still a really smooth blend. The exhale is full of the swirled flavors and a good vapor production. I enjoyed it better dripping even though I got an almost floral note.

Alicia: 4 stars. Using my Zephyrus Tank on my HexOhm v2.1 with a .5 coil at about 70 watts, the sweetness of this really comes out throughout the entire vape. The inhale I first taste the honey with hints of watermelon. The exhale is when the crème comes out to play and mixes pretty well with the honey and watermelon. The honey is really smooth and semi-sweet. The watermelon is where the sweetness is at, it’s borderline at being just a little too sweet. It’s a good flavor though, more along the lines of watermelon candy with the sweetness. I have to agree with Dori, I do get almost a floral note when the crème comes in but it quickly goes away and turns more to a creamy sweet watermelon candy.

Since this is a dripper’s blend I switched over to my Sapor RDA with a .3 build still on my HexOhm v2.1. The flavor is still pretty much the same as what the regular blend had delivered. The main difference that I notice is that the honey comes through just a little more with this one than it did on the other. I was hoping that maybe the sweetness of the watermelon would be toned down just a bit with this, but it’s still strong and almost too sweet. The crème is still there, although the floral note that I noticed when it first came through in the regular blend isn’t noticeable to me with this one.

Scott: 4.5 stars. On the dripper’s blend, I loved the melon flavor because it was a sweet, amazing flavor. When I inhaled, it left a sweetness on my tongue. On the inhale, I can taste it mix with the cream, giving it a nice blend of creaminess and melons. I agree with Dori that on the regular blend the flavors were just as good, but you were able to taste the honey a lot better giving it a I sweeter taste. On the dripper’s blend, I used IPV3 with a Popeye RDA with a .25-ohm coil build and ran it at 50 watts. For the regular blend, I used the IPV3 and an Atlantis Sub-tank.

Dana: 5 stars. Utopia is a divine melody of melon flavors! Sweet honey on the inhale and tasty melon flavors on the exhale. The cream adds a nice touch and softens the melon a bit. I love a sweet eliquid and this one fits the bill perfectly! Utopia provides great vapor production with a smooth throat hit. I vaped this in my Kanger Mini Sub Tank on a Smok M80 Mod. For me, it tasted best at 30 watts. I also dripped Utopia on my Atty RDA built at .3 ohms and set it at 45 watts to bring out the best flavor, which was similar to the tank version in my opinion.

Louis: 4.5 stars. I used an Atlantis 2 tank with a 0.3-ohm coil on an IPV3 mod. The higher the wattage the better it got. I noticed a better flavor and the sweetness really came out more. I liked that the watermelon wasn’t too intense; it was actually kind of smooth. I preferred this juice at around 78 watts. I usually drip, so I enjoyed the dripper’s blend a little bit more. I was using a Fishbone RDA on my triple battery mod. I liked the sweetness from the honey and I definitely noticed it more in the drippers’ blend, so I got the opposite of what Dori was saying. It kind of reminds me of watermelon cotton candy if that even is a real thing. Along with the added sweetness, I also liked how the crème smoothed the watermelon out. It was a cool, refreshing vape.

SUNNY DAZE

“Berries, melons and citrus lemon make this sunny daze premium eliquid one of a kind. (Made with maximum VG for an intense cloud especially for drippers)”

Blackstone Premium eLiquid Review by Spinfuel eMagazineDori: 4.5 stars. I enjoy the subtle fruit flavors and found that most of the flavor hit me at the tip of the exhale. I played around with the wattage a bit and found that it fit me best at 40 watts. On the inhale, the berry flavor starts of mellow and heightens at the tip of the exhale where a touch of lemon is introduced. The watermelon also swirls in here and they all blend together into the exhale. This isn’t a punch you in your face type of vape, but the flavor is there and definitely good. Sunny Daze is smooth and just rolls right out in voluptuous clouds. The throat hit is mild and this is a fruit vape I could find myself enjoying from time to time.

Alicia: 5 stars. The inhale of Sunny Daze has me kinda hooked. It’s a good flavor, almost like a berry lemonade with just enough sugar to make it sweet and not too tart. I’m still using my Sapor RDA built to .3 on my HexOhm. I’m liking this one right around 75 watts. The exhale starts off with more of the berry lemonade flavor that I’m loving and then turns over to be more of tart lemon with notes of candy watermelon tucked in. The watermelon isn’t really strong and doesn’t really stand out, which I think makes this flavor even better. More watermelon would have been a turn off for me just because the berry and lemon flavoring is really what I like about this.

Scott: 5 stars. I tasted a slight berry and watermelon flavor most of the time throughout this vape. I couldn’t really taste the lemon and the watermelon wasn’t too strong, but it was a nice, sweet flavor. The lemon was there, but it was so light that it blended great and made this one pleasant to vape by not overpowering the other flavors. I agree with Louis, the higher I made the watts, the more flavor and sweetness I got out of Sunny Daze.

Dana: 4.5 stars. Sunny Daze truly is bright sunshine in a vapor eliquid! It tastes like fresh lemon and succulent berries mixed with a touch of watermelon. These flavors combine fully for a perfect all day vape. None of the flavors are overpowering and I would really enjoy it more if it had a touch of extra watermelon added to the mix. What a refreshing vape to enjoy on a hot summer day or any time for that matter! I enjoyed Sunny Daze best at 40 watts.

Louis: 4 stars. This was a nice, lightly sweet, but kinda tangy eliquid. The watermelon in this eliquid wasn’t too strong either, which I liked. I agreed with Dana, it had a nice berry flavor, but I got more of a berry lemonade flavor on the inhale. The lemon then stayed for the exhale, but was accompanied by a smooth, cool watermelon flavor. It was a unique blend that went really well together. The berry kind of balanced out the melon and I also noticed the higher the watts on this one, the sweeter and better it got.

RED WHITE

“Red ripe strawberries harvested at their peak as a top note to this amazing creamy cheesecake make this dessert vape a great addition to the Blackstone line of premium eliquids. (Made with maximum VG for an intense cloud especially for drippers)”

Blackstone Premium eLiquid Review by Spinfuel eMagazineDori: 4.5 stars. This is an upside down cheesecake bite flavor. I get the graham cracker from the cheesecake crust as soon as I inhale followed by a creamy cheesecake flavor. I can maybe note a faint hint of strawberry in the background, but it’s super subtle. I don’t mind that because this is really smooth and tasty at 35 watts. The exhale is like a total bite of a New York style cheesecake. Go big or go home. If there would have been more of a strawberry note, I would have given it the big ‘ol five! Red White had excellent vapor production and a mild throat hit.

Alicia: 4 stars. So, I’m with Dori on this one. This does remind me of an upside down cheesecake bite. The inhale is mostly graham cracker crust for me, although it’s a very mild and light graham cracker. There needs to be just a little more to it. The cheesecake comes through on the exhale with a very tiny hint of strawberry. It’s a good cheesecake flavor, but just like the crust there needs to be more of it. Compared to the other flavors in this round being really flavorful, Red White has taken somewhat of a backseat to flavor. It’s mild and smooth and a little too light on flavor for me. I’ve tried this at all different heat levels and nothing seems to make the flavors come through just a little more.

Scott: 4.25 stars. This eliquid had a really good flavor. On the inhale, I tasted a rich and creamy vape. Like Dori I noticed the graham cracker first and then a slight hint of the cheesecake. The exhale gives a slight hint of strawberry with the mix of the rest of the cheesecake. The strawberry was a bit on the weak side, but was still enough to notice it there. It was also on the tart side, but this juice still had a really nice flavor.

Dana: 4.5 stars. Simply sweet strawberries mixed with a velvety cheesecake and a touch of cream… am I in heaven? All of these flavors team up together to create an exciting flavor combination in Red White. There is a very light throat hit and vast vapor production. Enjoy this decadent dessert eliquid after dinner or with a hot cup of coffee and you will more than satisfy that sweet tooth without all those calories! I appreciated this flavor best at 45 watts.

Louis: 5 stars. I really enjoyed this eliquid. My go to eliquid is usually a strawberry custard of some kind, and I thought that this was a really good take on flavors that I normally enjoy. Like Dori said, the strawberry wasn’t really strong, but I got hints of it. The cheesecake was very smooth but not too rich, and the crème mellowed everything out. I could see this eliquid in my daily rotation… it definitely has my vote.

RED SUN – A Spinfuel Choice Award Winner

“Red berries mixed with pineapples and mango’s give this high vg premium drippers blend eliquid a great tasting vape. (Made with maximum VG for an intense cloud especially for drippers)”

Blackstone Premium eLiquid Review by Spinfuel eMagazineDori: 5 stars. Red Sun has my taste buds going all over the place…! This flavor is smooth, sweet, tart, tangy, sweet again…it really just makes me want to keep vaping it to figure it all out. I can see fruit vape lovers being all over this one, but I can see those who need a wake up call reaching out for Red Sun as well. Aye Chee Wowwa. It must be the stone fruit flavor that I am really liking here, but I do get a red 2015-ChoiceAward-NEWTEAMraspberry flavor in the blend as well at the end of the exhale. This one is tasty, has a mild throat hit, and excellent vapor production.

Alicia: 5 stars. Just like everyone else on the team, my tastebuds have experienced everything with this, except creamy. Sweet, tangy, citrus all rolled into one. It’s definitely a tasty vape that has tantalized my tastebuds and has kept me wanting more. My sweet spot on a .3 build is right around 75-80 watts. The inhale is a nice sweet berry flavor that I really like! The exhale then starts off on a citrus note that surprisingly is really good after coming from sweet. The stone fruit shines through and then ends with a somewhat tangy yet sweet note. Seeing that I’m more of a dessert lover, I was surprised when I kept wanting to drip this and realized I had already gone through my entire bottle! I think it’s easy to say that this is one I would definitely add to my rotation.

Scott: 5 stars. On the inhale, I tasted a yummy, sweet berry with a slightly tangy citrus flavor. On the exhale, it was sweet, but not sure if it was the stone fruit that I was tasting or not. In my opinion, the combination of flavors was extremely well blended with the crème and sweetness. I will say I have enjoyed every one of the flavors in the Blackstone line in one way or the other. Their blends and mixtures have been awesome!!

Dana: 5 stars. I agree with Dori, Red Sun is a fantastic blend of flavors! This eliquid hits every note that you are looking for: sweet, sour, tart and tangy! I taste sweet raspberries, bright citrus, and a hint of peaches. With Red Sun you get a fruit salad in a vapor eliquid! This is very refreshing on these hot summer days! There is a smooth throat hit and immense vapor production. I played with the wattage and was surprised to find so many new flavors come alive! I enjoyed it best at 45 watts.

Louis: 5 stars. This was a really flavorful juice, I agree with everyone on that. I got a sweet berry, yet tangy citrus inhale. Next, I tasted a sweet, but still citrus tang on the exhale. It was a great combination of flavors especially for those of you who enjoy fruit flavored vapes. I prefer creamy smooth flavors, but I would like to say this line of eliquid was one of the more flavorful ones I have vaped and I really enjoyed it.

CONCLUSION

Blackstone eLiquid has proven once again that they are a line that deserves some attention yet again! The final round of flavors we reviewed received at least one 5 star rating in each flavor again! The blends are all unique, most of the flavorings are done well, and the eliquid is made with 100% food grade Kosher PG/VG which is something all vendors should use when they can. The quality of what you use in your product truly comes out in the flavor at the end. If you would like to place an order, make sure you type in Blackstone in the search window at www.vapefab.com. The prices are really reasonable for a line of this caliber.

I’ve really enjoyed reviewing the entire Blackstone eLiquid line. I have to give props where props are due. Out of the 20 flavors that we received we gave out a few awards and a ton of fives from the various team members. The complex blends containing three flavor profiles mixed just right in most cases are blends I would recommend anyone try. There is a flavor profile to please everyone from tobacco lovers to dessert lovers. Make sure you check them out and give an eliquid that’s in your wheelhouse a try.

As always, the team and I all have a unique way of tasting flavors but you’ll know who you can relate to most after you read some of our prior reviews. We all have our own style, and these are our opinions. It’s nice to have different view sometimes on the same product.
