Before getting into some specifics about the Freedom Edition of the Revenger X, here’s some important information you’ll want to know. First, this is a LIMITED RUN. Once DirectVapor sells out, there will be no more. Buy one to use, and one to save as a collector’s piece. (my plan).

The Vaporesso Revenger X uses the latest OMNI 2.2 board and fires 5 to 220 watts of power in .1w increments, and includes the audaciously accurate temperature control suite for Titanium, SS, and Nickel heating elements. Because this is Vaporesso we’re talking about, the Replacement Coils include a cCell Ceramic, my personal favorite for flavor and abundant clouds, as well as added durability of the ceramic material.

The OMNI 2.2 Board found in the Vaporesso Revenger X also provides a Custom Curve of Wattage and Temperature that allows for a customized vaping experience you can’t find anywhere else, if vaping in TC modes is your preferred way to vape (it is not mine).

Then there is Smart Variable Wattage (VW) mode. Some users I know see this mode as nothing more than a “puff” power setting, ‘soft, normal, and hard’ with a bit of coil recognition. However, Smart VW mode does an excellent job for me, by finding the right wattage for any particular coil I use.

Here I quote Vaporesso on their purpose of creating Smart Mode;

“Smart VW is an advanced variable output wattage setting mode. The SMART VW will automatically recommend the ideal output power setting for each resistance value when an atomizer is installed, avoiding burning the coil to protect your device and also saving your time and money”

I believe a lot of people miss the most important word in this description, “recommend”. No Vape Board is going to know “exactly” the wattage “you” want to use with any particular coil, but it is one helluva starting point. New Vapers, or even experienced Vapers using an unknown tank/coil will find it the perfect way to begin to discover the wattage that you’ll find perfect. No matter what mode I finally decide to use when I vape with a Vaporesso mod with an Omni board, I always begin with Smart Mode, then fine-tune from there.

The Revenger X can handle dozens and dozens of Sub-Ohm tanks, RDAs and RDTA’s with ease. Despite my love for the NRG tank, I’ll sometimes throw a TFV12 Prince (always the T10) on the Revenger X, and it not only vapes extremely well, the Prince look great on top of the Revenger X.

The Freedom Edition and Other Tanks

I already own a Revenger X, in green. The Black TFV12 Prince by SMOK looks awesome on it. But, I am excited to get my hands on the Freedom Edition and the custom USA color scheme. That said, the NRG Sub-Ohm Tank is a marvelous tank, and because it too is has a custom color scheme to match the beautiful Revenger body, I won’t be using any other tank on it but the NRG.
