Introduction to the iPV Xyanide Starter Kit

I guess better late than never applies to this review for the Pioneer4You iPV Xyanide Starter Kit. We’ve had this magnificent starter kit here at Spinfuel HQ for almost 3 months, and every time it’s put on the whiteboard for review, something, some new special project or some review, knocks it down the editorial board. (that’s what makes it nice to be free from influence) Well, since I’ve been using this marvelous new iPV vape mod for well more than a month, I’m more than ready to announce a verdict… Although unusual for a Pioneer4You vape mod, the iPV Xyanide is one of the best, if not the best, mod and tank that Pioneer4You has released to date. And that includes the newer Trantor, a box mod under review as I type this (by another Spinfuel Vape Reviewer).

“ELEMENT

Pionneer4You has been in the vape market for a long, long time. I remember my first box mod from this company. I didn’t like it much, though everyone around me was floored by the amount of wattage the mod was capable of throwing. To me, the iPV looked as though it was made by a couple of guys in a rented workspace, hand assembling box mods with cheap solder and loose battery chamber. And for a while, it was typical, to me, to see Pioneer4You release a ‘professional’ vape mod and then turn around and release another that looked hand made. I never understood the love many experienced vapers had for Pioneer4You.

Lately though, each successive release from Pioneer4You has been on the professional level. Nice clean lines, tight tolerances on the edges, solid electronics, and pretty great performance. And with the release of the iPV Xyanide, Pioneer4You takes a huge risk in a bold chassis design, a YiHi chipset, and a high-performance sub-ohm tank that I have been enjoying immensely.

PIONEER4YOU IPV XYANIDE 200W STARTER KIT REVIEW BY SPINFUEL VAPE

Main Feature Highlights of the iPV Xyanide Starter Kit

The Pioneer4You iPV Xyanide 200W Starter Kit is, at the heart, a YiHi SX460 chipset with a full 200W of power.  The bold chassis design screams “futuristic”, and is paired with the new, and equally cool, LXV4 Sub-Ohm Tank. Yes, the Xyanide chassis will remind those that review mods for a living of similar body shapes as the Vaporesso Switcher, the iJoy Diamond, and even the iJoy Avenger. That said, the Xyanide is the boldest in presentation to date. See photos in the slideshow to see what I mean.

The iPV Xyanide 200W Box Mod’s YiHi SX460 Chipset, delivers and output range of 5 to 200W and includes a comprehensive temperature control suite for the usual heating wires, and an efficient processor for genuinely nice vape experience. The addition of an “Enter”, or “Function” button makes adjustments fast and easy to control.

The adjustment curves technology in the Xyanide box mod features an algorithmic calculation that allows users to set and fine tune, plus save memory output curves, something very much needed. YiHi’s temperature control technology offers native support for the usual TC heating elements, SS, Ti, Ni, etc., and TCR functionality using Joules and Degree based settings. Personal Observations for the iPV Xyanide

Of all the iPV Vape Mods by Pioneer4You, the Xyanide is by far my favorite one. I even enjoy the LXV4 Sub-Ohm, though the 2mL juice capacity is a hassle. From the outside looking in, the LXV4 looks to hold much more than 2mL, though that isn’t the case. The mid-size coil heads and the protective stainless-steel cage around the glass tube make it appear to hold more. The kit comes with 2x 0.15-ohm quad-coils that deliver true flavor fidelity and big clouds of vapor. Using a High-VG e-liquid you’ll perform many refills throughout the day. Refilling the tank is a simple matter of twisting off the top cap. Unfortunately, your first time unscrewing the top cap will probably take a lot of strength, the factory screws the top cap in with force.

The Xyanide Starter Kit comes in Black, Gunmetal, and Rainbow. I unfortunately got stuck with the rainbow finish, which is a light rainbow and a very glossy exterior. Other staffers got the black and the gunmetal, and they look particularly slick. Additionally, it’s easier to use a 3rdparty sub-ohm tank with the black and gunmetal, and the rainbow LXV4 tank doesn’t look good on anything but the Xyanide.

Bottom Lining the iPV Xyanide by Pioneer4You

I like the iPV Xyanide enough to “consider” buying another one in black or gunmetal. The rainbow (Pionneer4You calls it 7-Color) is okay, but the other colors are far more sophisticated looking. But, without a great vape experience, the sexiest, coolest looking mod and tank isn’t worth anything. So, if you decide you like the bold design move by Pionneer4You, then rest assured that as long as you don’t mind a 2mL tank, you’ll enjoy this 200W joule-based vape mod and tank quite a bit.

Score: A

(though I have to say again, I do not like the 7-color version, buy a black or gunmetal Xyanide)
