The Best Sub-Ohm Tanks for Cloud Chasing? Indeed. You would think that with all the progress that has been made with Sub-Ohm tank design and manufacturing that all modern tanks would perform nearly identical to each other. As we’ve discovered over the years, that is never the case. There are plenty of good, even great tanks, but sadly there are even more that are just plain fail to meet Vape’s expectations. While a “sub-ohm” tank is any tank that uses a prebuilt coil with a resistance of less than 1.0-ohm, each seem to have their own strengths and weaknesses, especially with the cloud chasers. And with so many to choose from, isn’t time to create an unbiased list of the Best 10?
Some tanks are designed to deliver optimal flavor, with cloud production taking a backseat, while others are designed to deliver on the clouds while allowing flavor fidelity to take the backseat. That just won’t do.
Rarely does a Sub-Ohm Tank offer the best of both; big cloud production and true flavor fidelity. As hard as they try, most attempts miss the mark. That said, some do pull it off . This “Best Sub-Ohm Tanks for Cloud Chasers” contain sub-ohm tanks that perform brilliantly for Cloud Chasers and also satisfy in the flavor component. These are the best, these are the ones we should be using.
If creating massive clouds of vapor isn’t as important to you as true flavor fidelity, then you will be pleased to know that we are assembling a new Best Sub-Ohm Tanks for Flavorists. Look for it soon! In the meantime, let’s see what the team put together for the cloud chaser.
While it is true that with this list of Sub-Ohm Tanks that put the emphasis on cloud production, these tanks do so without sacrificing flavor. After all, in order to make this list for the Best Sub-Ohm Tanks for Cloud Chasers, the flavor fidelity must be at least… very good, or why bother?
Note*No doubt there will be objections as to which tanks made our list and which ones did not. We understand that any list of the “Best”, or the “Top” isn’t going to sit well with everyone. If you are one of the objectors to one or more tanks that made the list below, feel free to tell us about any sub-ohm cloud chaser we missed. We’ll do whatever we can to obtain the tank(s), use them, review then, and perhaps it will appear on the next list of cloud chasing sub-ohms. Every tank on this list has been vaped by every staff member of Spinfuel VAPE for an extensive period of time, we know them inside and out. But we know we haven’t vaped every sub-ohm tank on the market…yet.
There is a Score for both Cloud Production and Flavor Fidelity for each tank below. In addition, we’ve provided a convenient button for the trusted vendor Vapor Authority, one of the three vendors we use all the same for our own purchases.

Best Sub-Ohm Tanks - Conclusion
During the past year we’ve reviewed many, many Sub-Ohm Tanks that might have made this list, but if the proper balance of clouds and flavor did not reach the threshold we required, it just didn’t make sense to add them just to make the list longer.
Keep in mind this is the list of the Best Cloud Chasing Sub-Ohms of 2017, and early 2018, for which the Spinfuel VAPE Team has extensive experience with. There are a handful of new tanks on the immediate horizon, including the exciting SMOK Resa Prince, which seems to point to an even better balance of clouds and flavor of the best-selling SMOK Prince. The newest addition, a sub-ohm that was added to the list at the last second, the HorizonTech Falcon, is evidence that new and improved sometimes actually means new and improved.
