The Aspire Puxos Starter Kit
After coming off reviews for two iJoy Starter Kits, the SABER and the Diamond Mini, both of which had ample heft to them, picking up the Aspire Puxos with the Cleito Pro Sub-Ohm Tank attached I was literally shocked at how feather light the entire mod and tank were. Even after inserting a 20700 battery the Puxos vape kit was extraordinarily light. Naturally, the weight of the device has nothing to do with the performance, or whether it’s something I would recommend, but should you decide to purchase the kit it will be the first thing you notice.
Note* Some vendors are stating that the Aspire Puxos is compatible with both the 20700 and 21700, but for the life of me I was not able to insert a 21700 cell. The 20700 worked fine, as did the 18650 cell with the full body silicon sleeve, but the 21700 was a no-go.
Aesthetically speaking, the Puxos Mod is fitted with two removeable panels held in place by a pair of magnets, of different designs. My test unit is called Music, and the pattern includes lines, swirls, and a variety of colors set against a white background. Of the five patterns the Puxos is available in, the one I chose is by far the most attractive, others may disagree. In all, Aspire has released 14 different side panel patterns and colors for the Puxos, though I have no idea when or if Aspire plans to sell these panels separately. They should, but who knows?
For the review period I swapped out between the 20700 cell and the 18650 with the sleeve in order to determine battery life and performance using both compatible cells.
The Aspire Puxos is loaded with safety features, including overcharge protection, overheat protection, and short circuit protection.
The last feature highlight worth mentioning here is the wonderful 0.96-inch OLED display. Bright, clear, and loaded with all the information any Vaper could want, the display on the Puxos is a delight to use. Directly below the display is the adjustment “bar”, a single piece with a + on one side, a – on the minus on the other.
Feature Highlights of the Puxos Starter Kit
The Aspire Puxos 100W & Cleito Pro Starter Kit is single cell box mod that uses Aspire Proprietary Chipset that offers all of today’s modern vaping demands. When the Aspire Puxos Box Mod is powered by a single 20700 cell it has a maximum wattage output of 100W. With the 18650-cell inside the silicon sleeve the Puxos can achieve a maximum wattage of 80W. Fortunately the Cleito Pro coil heads have a wattage range of 60-80W, so using a spare 18650 battery will provide an optimal vape when used this the sub-ohm tank provided in the starter kit.
As soon as a battery is inserted the Puxos display lights up, showing the outline of a 20700 or 18650 battery. Using the adjustment button, the user navigates to the battery type inserted and presses the large side-panel fire button to calibrate the chipset to optimize the experience with the battery type.
The Aspire Puxos offers high-performance features, from variable wattage, temperature control, TCR adjustments and dynamic CPS mode (Customized Power Settings). The included Cleito Pro Sub-Ohm Tank is an attractive and high-performance addition to the reviewed here Cleito (reviewed here) and the Cleito reviewed here (review here) tank, with a maximum capacity for e-liquid of 4.2mL when using the bubble glass tank, 3mL when using the straight glass tank, it’s default tank. If you decide to remove the default tank in order to attach the bubble tank, be careful with O-rings. (Aspire includes a few extra O-rings just in case)
In addition, there is a dual slotted bottom airflow control, and a slide top-fill method. I’ll talk more about the Cleito Pro, but for now, it’s worth a mention that the only negative aspect of this tank for me personally is that the side fill slot uses a removeable band. Whenever anything is “removeable”, chances are I could lose it. I haven’t so far, been its only been 10 days.
The nice thing about the Aspire Cleito Pro is that is can use previous Cleito Coils, from the original Cleito to Cleito EXO Coils. That said, the Cleito Pro introduces a 0.5ohm Cleito Pro coil head that provides marvelous flavor fidelity and ample clouds.
The resistance range of the Puxos is 0.1 to 3.5 ohms, and even though there are dozens of mods capable of lower resistance, 99% of Vapers will find 0.1-ohm more than enough to enjoy just about any sub-ohm tank.

The Spinfuel VAPE Score
Vaping the Aspire Puxos and Cleito Pro
I’ll get the negatives out of the way first; the coils provided in the starter kit are thirsty suckers. Although the tank is said to hold 4.2mL of juice, I can empty the tank in a bit more than half an hour. While the wattage range begins at 60W, I found 64W to be optimal for the e-juice I use. Going higher the vapor gets very warm and the drip tip begins to heat up. Battery life is okay for a single cell mod, (with both battery types) but after using dual-cell mods almost exclusively I wasn’t ready for swapping out the battery every couple of hours.
However, despite the amount of e-juice the Cleito Pro goes through at 64W, and the number of times I had to swap out the battery, I thoroughly enjoyed vaping with the Aspire Puxos and Cleito Pro. It’s lightweight chassis, the excellent flavor, and the ample vapor production made the Puxos one of the nicest small mod and tank kits in my collection. At just 87mm by 48mm by 30mm, it’s definitely pocket friendly.
The Cleito Pro Sub-Ohm
Having reviewed previous Cleito sub-ohms before, I was prepared for a more powerful vape experience. The original Cleito made its bones with massive clouds, and while I have no complaints with the Cleito Pro, the vapor production isn’t quite as massive. I think it’s a combination of the lower wattage demands of the coils, and the stubby wide bore drip tip with a large lip. Thankfully, like previous Cleito tanks the user can take long, strong pulls from it without worrying about spit back.
The airflow slots provide more than enough air to the coils for strong pulls yet can be dialed back to a near-MTL pull. As you close off the airflow the flavor becomes stronger and the vapor denser. Wide open, the pull is easy and provides the biggest clouds.
Lastly, this Aspire Cleito Pro is the most aesthetically pleasing of the Cleito line. While some users might find the lip on the drip tip a bit annoying at first, it plays a part in the overall attractiveness of the tank. As you can see in the photos provided in this review, Aspire did a bang up job on the design, without sacrificing performance.
There are other features to the Cleito Pro worth knowing about and I’ve listed them here.
Verdict
For a lightweight single cell box mod and sub ohm tank, the Aspire Puxos Starter Kit is an excellent value and worthy of consideration. Its stainless-steel chassis, modern aesthetics, versatility, and its large and bright OLED display, the Puxos makes a superior backup device for advanced users, and an excellent primary choice for new Vapers looking for a good vape experience.
