- 1.8 SPINFUEL: It seems as though every eLiquid brand has its own “signature” flavor, or flavor “genre” for a lack of a better word. Every brand is different, and I find that remarkable. With just a handful of ingredients each company is able to create their own specific traits. With that in mind, how would you describe your signature traits?

- 1.12 SPINFUEL: What sizes are available? 15ML, 30ML, etc?
- 1.13 SPINFUEL: Let’s talk about packaging. How are your eLiquids packaged? Not just their physical appearance, but also, how are they sealed, boxed, and shipped to the customer?
- 1.14 Spinfuel: Are there any concerns, or maybe even a positive or two, for shipping ejuice in either extremely hot weather or cold weather? Sometimes, living and working in Florida our eliquid orders arrive very warm because they’ve sat in the mail delivery truck for hours, or even our own mailbox. Is that ever a concern?

Molly McIntosh of Vaping Studio – The Interview
SPINFUEL: Welcome to the pages of Spinfuel. We’re excited to talk to you today. Would you like to introduce yourselves to our readers?
Molly – My name is Molly McIntosh, and no I didn’t invent the computer or the apple, they beat me to it. I represent Vaping Studio, a small company based in Minnesota, ran by a couple ladies and I with a passion for flavor, classy decor, and fun sass.
SPINFUEL: What position(s) do you hold in the company?
Molly – I manage our brick-and-mortar store, as well as our wholesale division.
Spinfuel: How many employees work for Vaping Studio?
Molly – 3 of us ladies to date.
SPINFUEL: Who or what inspired you to get into the e-juice business?
Molly – Florida was the inspiration, actually! The owner of the business often visits the big FL and fell in love with the customizable and many flavors in the bigger cities in Florida. She wanted to take that and bring it home to the much colder North, where flavors are often pre-bottled and set nicotines with a lesser chance of finding a perfect all day vape. We want to see less importation and much for customization!
SPINFUEL: There are many shop owners that read Spinfuel everyday. How might they go about selling Vaping Studio in their shop?
Molly – VapingStudio.com is the perfect way to get a hold of our staff or call the shop Monday through Friday at (952) 933-VAPE.
SPINFUEL: When you launched Vaping Studio how did you decide on your first “set” of flavors? How many flavors did you launch with? How many flavors do you have today?
Molly – Our first flavors were very basic, with only around 25 to choose from. Now, we have over 75 hand-mixed, tailored flavors with specifically tested ratios of flavorings to give the best possible taste and throat hit.
SPINFUEL: Which flavor is your newest e-liquid creation, and when was it released?
Molly – Livewire was released on August 5th and has been particularly popular with the summer heat!
SPINFUEL: It seems as though every eLiquid brand has its own “signature” flavor, or flavor “genre” for a lack of a better word. Every brand is different, and I find that remarkable. With just a handful of ingredients each company is able to create their own specific traits. With that in mind, how would you describe your signature traits?
Molly – Our signature trait is flavors that make your eyes widen after your first hit, then you look at your e-cig to make sure you are actually smoking it, then you take another hit, followed by a smile and nod. Whilst our flavor names are basic, the taste is much more complex.
SPINFUEL: Do you steep your eLiquids before they are shipped? If you do not, do you suggest that customers ‘home steep’ them before vaping?
Molly – If they are not custom flavors they are steeped 1+ week and ready to go. If a custom flavor is ordered it is immediately sent because we understand how exciting it is waiting for a package and checking the mail box/staring out the window for the mailman is too time consuming, so for custom flavors, we recommend waiting 3-5 days and staring at the bottle instead of the mailman. That is considered creepy.
SPINFUEL: What is your suggested PG/VG ratio for your eJuice? Do you allow your customers any options when it comes to PG/VG ratios?
Molly – We have a standard 60/40 PG/VG to ensure a good throat hit, with a good amount of smoke, but we are more than happy to customize that ratio! Just because we prefer 60/40, does not mean you do, so we encourage finding exactly what suits you.
SPINFUEL: Do you mix your customers ejuice ‘to order’, or in batches? Is there any reason for mixing each bottle separately?
Molly – Custom flavors are made to order, but our set flavors are made in small batches to ensure quality and consistency.
SPINFUEL: What sizes are available? 15ML, 30ML, etc?
Molly – We offer our online customers 10, 15 and 30mL bottles, and larger sizes are available for the wholesale level.
SPINFUEL: Let’s talk about packaging. How are your eLiquids packaged? Not just their physical appearance, but also, how are they sealed, boxed, and shipped to the customer?
Molly – All bottles are thoroughly wrapped with bubble wrap in priority mail boxes to ensure safe deliverance to their new forever home. Every ingredient in our liquids are clearly state on their label, as well, so customers know exactly what they are getting.
Spinfuel: Are there any concerns, or maybe even a positive or two, for shipping ejuice in either extremely hot weather or cold weather? Sometimes, living and working in Florida our eliquid orders arrive very warm because they’ve sat in the mail delivery truck for hours, or even our own mailbox. Is that ever a concern?
Molly – The hot and cold are not a particular concern, but we recommend allowing your bottles to warm or cool to room temperature to assure safety to the e-cigarette it is being used in.
SPINFUEL: How and where eLiquids are being made is becoming vitally important to many vapers. Could you describe your ‘mixing’ area? Where do you do your mixing?
Molly – Vaping Studio e-liquids are mixed in a renovated industrial grade kitchen on all stainless-steel tables and shelving to ensure proper sanitation and eliminate outside contamination. Medical grade, new syringes are used on every order to keep your flavor in and other flavors out. We don’t want our lime in our coconut or vice-versa. Unless you’re into that. We’ll do that.
SPINFUEL: Does your crew wear any type of special clothing when they are mixing?
Molly – Whilst we are not doctors, we do use doctor gloves and even full body suits, if necessary for larger orders. And hair clips are always necessary.
SPINFUEL: Do you have a specific type of Vaper in mind for your eLiquids? What I mean is, when coming up with new flavors, is demographic data used to determine what flavors would sell to “your base”?
Molly – We plan on never having a specific Vaper. We want to adhere to everyone’s needs, although we do love the very picky Vapers, because we enjoy being pushed to the limit to find ‘that one vape’ that they will want to come back for over and over again.
SPINFUEL: Drinks, Fruity, Savory, Tobacco, and Sweet are your eliquid categories. Is one category in particular more popular than the others? If so, which category?
Molly – Our fruity special blends have been tried and true to being our most popular. We are a wily little bunch of ladies that will go through an excessive amount of crazy fruit flavors until we find that one that is just zany enough to be delicious.
SPINFUEL: What types of hardware (mods, tanks, cartos, etc.) do you use when testing your liquids?
Molly – We prefer dual coil, such as the Aspire ET-S or the Innokin iClear 16D, but we believe our flavors hold true in almost any tank.
SPINFUEL: If properly stored, what is the shelf life of your eLiquid? By the way, how should a customer store their eLiquids before they open them and after they’ve been opened?
Molly – We put an expiration of one year, but they should last twice that. A comfortable room temperature, out of the sun should be perfect for storage before and after tasting.
SPINFUEL: Did you smoke before you switched to vaping? If so, what made you decide to quit smoking?
Molly – We were all smokers, actually. For the two of us who quit, we both agree that the smell of cigarettes was the main factor. In our extremely long Minnesota winters most wear the same jacket daily, whilst smoking in it every single day. The person smoking becomes immune to the smell, while those around you do not and the look of disdain that non-smokers or passersby give is very disheartening. We were just looking to improve ourselves and quitting smoking is a good step in that process.
SPINFUEL: What type (and/or brand) of eCigarette did you use to break away from analogs?
V2’s.
SPINFUEL: Do you have a “favorite” Vaping Studio flavor? What is your favorite category of eLiquids for your personal vaping? Fruity, tobacco-based, sweet, and or something else?
Molly – Although fruit is very good, the Bakery section is a favorite because it has a little of everything, there are some fruit pies, chocolate cakes, cinnamon teas, etc. It has the best of all worlds. All the very, very delicious worlds.
SPINFUEL: What makes a good “all day vape”?
Molly – Something that has consistent flavor that makes you WANT to smoke it out of enjoyment, as opposed to smoking just to appease nicotine cravings.
SPINFUEL: Are eCigarettes the future of smoking, or do you think the industry is in trouble? Do you see any kind of major shift coming in the industry?
Molly – If e-cigs were any more futuristic they would arrive in a Delorean. Although legislation is tricky when it comes to their ever-changing rules and regulations, we always adhere to them and are confident that e-cigarettes will stay swimming as analogs begin sinking into the distant past.
SPINFUEL: There are hundreds of eLiquid brands in the US. Why should our readers buy their e-juice from you?
Molly – Vaping Studio is not a corporate mass-producing, cog-in-the-machine company, and have no aspirations to become that type of establishment. We aspire to offer quality crafted e-liquids, known for their superior flavor, yet still has that hometown mom & pop shop feel. Our goal is to know every customer by name and make a personal connection to aid individuals in their e-cigarette journey.
SPINFUEL: This is the place where we turn the interview over to you. Is there anything else you’d like to say to our readers while you have their complete attention?
Molly – Vaping Studio would love for you to try our flavors, and vape assured that there will be no disappointment. If you are looking for a company that wants to earn your loyalty, look no further.
SPINFUEL: I can’t thank you enough for talking with us today.
