Let me begin with a short sidebar about when I made the switch to vaping. Years ago, the first tank I purchased was the ASPIRE ATLANTIS. (5 years ago we reviewed the Atlantis!) An old-school, bottom fill, “tank” of a tank helped me kick the analogues and enjoy this delicious new world of vapor and flavor. The Aspire brand has a special place in my vaping experience. As does the brand you remember making the switch with.
If you’re reading this and just considering making the switch. The ASPIRE K LITE just might be what you look back on as your first device that introduced you to the flavorful vape experience. (That’s if big brother hasn’t yet already taken all flavor away from us by the time this review has posted.)
The Aspire K Lite Starter Kit is a voltage based box mod, featuring a significant 900mAh rechargeable battery, 5 incrementally stronger voltage output levels, and is paired with the Aspire K Lite Tank, perfect for outputting tasty clouds of nicotine salts. Formed from impact-resistant zinc-alloy, the K Lite Starter Kit is crafted to remain light and portable. Within the chassis, an integrated 900mAh rechargeable battery resides and powers the voltage based output, depending on the remaining charge. In addition, the K Lite is equipped with five separate voltage levels to find the perfect ideal vaping settings for each individual user. This allows for a myriad of tanks to be used at the top with little to no problems. Furthermore, the Aspire K Lite Starter Kit is paired with the Aspire K Lite Tank, a 2.0mL capacity tank that can be used for either nicotine salts or freebase eJuice in a MTL-style vaping system.

IMPRESSIONS/AESTHETICS
Aesthetically, the K-LITE is a bit of a throwback when compared to most modern pod and AIO devices currently on the market. Granted, it is both a lightweight and slim device for a tank/ mod set-up measuring in at 75mm by 26.5mm by 17mm. Makes it compact enough to slip in a pocket while on the go.
Aspire K-Lite MOD
The K-LITE MOD offers up some simple straightforward functionality. Complete with an integrated 900mAh rechargeable battery via USB port located at the base. The mod has an upper fire button and smaller voltage adjustment button on the asymmetrical face. The voltage levels illuminate vertically when selecting between the different levels.
Along with a small directional up-arrow shape LED light that illuminates when the device is fired. Which severs a double function to check the battery status with a few clicks.
Surprisingly the mod is complete with a threaded 510 connection. Something you certainly don’t get with many of the proprietary pod/mod devices currently on the market. The K-LIGHT does lend itself some adaptability to connect any tank with the industry standard 510 connection on the base. As a new vaper, this would be something I would consider a big plus when shopping for a starter kit.
VOLTAGE DISPLAY
Even as an experienced vaper I’ve always been accustomed to adjusting power level in measures of wattage over voltage. I found the experience of selecting in voltage over traditional wattage selection cumbersome to say the least. Granted it’s easy to ignore the specific voltage levels and think of them as a power levels from low to high. To say the least, I feel it complicates an otherwise uncomplicated setup.
Aspire K Lite TANK
Overall, the 2ml capacity K-LITE tank is well-made. When I think back to using tanks like the bottom fill design of the ASPIRE ATLANTIS I started out with it is certainly an upgrade. The threaded top cap is easy to remove and access the generous top fill port makes filling a breeze. Something even the most modern and forward thinking pod designs have yet to adopt.
At the base is a classic adjustable airflow ring which ranges from a tight MTL draw, to a restricted DTL hit. No big innovations to report here but no negatives to really comment on as well. The classic design is something that, well… works as you would expect it to without any bells or whistles.
K-Lite Coils
The 1.6/1.8ohm ASPIRE BVC COILS provided with the K-LITE kit are average at best. Nothing remarkable or inspiring to report here. Don’t expect massive flavorful clouds of vapor to be produced from these little coils, but rather you can be assured that they are little work horses that will go the distance. They have been a staple of the ASPIRE brand since the inception of the early NAUTILUS Tank back in 2014. It’s certainly a testament to the saying, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!” Which ASPIRE has subscribed to, continuing to offer this coil system with the K-LITE setup.
PROS:
– Generous top fill port
– Lightweight and portable
– BVC & SPRYT coil compatible
CONS:
– Voltage display can be confusing for new users
– Coils are average at best
– Feels a bit dated
Spinfuel VAPE Recommendation and Score
The ASPIRE K-LITE is what I would consider a good place to start as a new vaper looking to pick up their first device. Its compact and lightweight design offers both convenience and portability in a tank/ mod setup. Offering some simple design features with the generous top fill port along with the reliable BVC & SPRYTE coil options to choose from. Aside from the slightly confusing voltage display menu selection. The K-LITE offers a simple and straightforward device that gets the job done.
