Viceroy Max VG From Affordable Vapor
A Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review
Let’s get real, who isn’t excited about dessert flavored vapes? Well, in my world, there are very few that come into my shop who are completely opposed to every dessert flavor I offer. If they enjoy fruit, they will at least enjoy a fruity custard at times, or perhaps a fruity cupcake vape. I’ve even had tobacco lovers enjoy a spicy custard now and again.
With Affordable Vapor’s Premium Max VG E-Liquid line Viceroy, there is a nice variety in this dessert line from custards that feature more of a fruit flavor to cinnamon buns for those of you who like spice with your sweet tooth. Affordable Vapor is also known for their first line, Solo Eliquid.
For the most part, we all enjoyed the Viceroy line and one of the flavors just FLOORED us all. These 100% VG organic blends mixed in Florida are definitely eLiquids to read about and decide which, if not all, are for YOU to try!!
FLAVORS
Baron: The sweet aroma of vanilla custard boosted by the fruity flavors of ripe strawberries and kiwi.
King: Enjoy the flavors of roasted vanilla beans blended with cake batter, brown sugar, and topped off with a combination of graham cracker and hazelnut.
Earl: Sweet lemon meringue combined with vanilla pudding and topped off with some pie crust crumbles.
Emperor: White chocolate creme brulee with orange peel and crunchy brown sugar.
Duke: Sweet cookie dough mixed with warm cinnamon buns and finished with a sugar glaze.
Spinfuel Protocols:
Because this is only the fourth review from the NEW Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review, we suggest that you take a look at the new protocols we’ve set up for each of the reviews we will do moving forward. You’ll need to know how long we vape the ejuice, in what manner, what we look for, and how an eliquid may earn a coveted Spinfuel Choice Award. In addition, in order to understand the scores and our comments about each one, knowing the intricacies of our methods will give you a greater understanding of the process. Click here:
Viceroy Premium E-Liquid Particulars
Viceroy Eliquid arrived in shrink-wrapped 30ml glass bottles with childproof glass droppers. They retail at $18.99 which is $.63/ml which I think is a good price for a Premium E-Liquid considering most brands are $20 or more for the 30ml size. Viceroy definitely has the flavor going for them. There are also 15ml sizes available for $9.99 and 120mls for $69.99 at www.affordablevapor.com. They come in four nicotine options: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, or 12mg. The blends are organic and 100%vg.
Packaging
The 30ml glass bottles have a transparent label on them that has its own unique style to it… Viceroy style that is, and I like it. Their name is big and bold on the front with the nicotine level and to the side is the flavor name and size of the bottle. The side also lists the ingredients, where the product is made, the proper warning, and Viceroy’s web site address, which is different than the Affordable Vapor address. (Viceroy’s web site is not quite up to date yet). (www.viceroyvapor.com) I would keep checking it out though. As always, I would love to see a batch number and born on date on the labels as well. I am sure these will be requirements eventually on all labels.
The JUICE
This is what it is all about for our team: the flavor. We have five to cover, so let’s get to it. I’m Dori, the head writer, and will kick off every flavor with my thoughts first, and the team then follows. Remember as always, taste is subjective and is in the mouth of the beholder. I do believe I’ve assembled a truly unique team. We all have different palates and I value each opinion of those on my team. Let’s see what we come up with for these for organic dessert blends!!
Baron
“The sweet aroma of vanilla custard boosted by the fruity flavors of ripe strawberries and kiwi.”
Dori: 4.25 stars. I really enjoyed the creaminess of this eLiquid. On the inhale, the strawberry flavor that I got was a natural strawberry. Next, I get a sweetness and bit of tang from the kiwi. When they all blend together on the exhale, the custard becomes complete. This is where I disagree with Alicia because I think the creaminess is especially evident on the exhale. I really like the overall flavor of this vape and the smoothness. The cloud production is really nice and the throat hit is mild at 3mg. I used a Popeye RDA with a .4ohm coil build on a Mad Modder OKL around 40watts.
Alicia: 4.5 stars. While the vanilla came out pretty good in some of the other flavors, this one I couldn’t taste any of it at all. The inhale delivers a nice strawberry flavor, while the exhale brings out the kiwi. The only thing I could point out that might be leaning towards custard is how the two fruity flavors are toned down just a bit and have a creamy touch. If I could taste the vanilla, this would score added bonus points. But as it stands, it’s still pretty good. Adding the kiwi takes it a step above your normal strawberry flavors and the creamy notes make me like it even more.
Scott: 3.5 stars. They say that Baron is a nice, smooth mixture of strawberry and kiwi wrapped in vanilla custard. I definitely got the strawberry and kiwi, but I agree with Alicia and I’m not sure I got the vanilla. This juice has a lot of kiwi flavor and it’s a little light on the strawberry. The vanilla flavor is very subtle. The kiwi was very sweet tasting and seemed to overpower the strawberry. This blend wasn’t bad, but not one I would vape everyday.
Dana: 4.75 stars. I like the sweet strawberry inhale of Baron, it wasn’t too strong as some strawberry eliquids tend to be. I agree with Dori and get the creaminess from a delicate custard exhale. I could vape this flavor all day. All flavors were vaped using a doge .4 ohms and a mad hatter .3 ohms using a regulated and unregulated mod.
King – A Spinfuel Choice Award Winner
“Enjoy the flavors of roasted vanilla beans blended with cake batter, brown sugar, and topped off with a combination of graham cracker and hazelnut.”
Dori: 5 stars. The blend of flavors in this eLiquid is just mouthwatering!! Most of the time, I get the hazelnut flavor as soon as I inhaled, and then the vanilla flavor dances in next. At the tip of the exhale I taste the cake batter and more sweetness from the brown sugar. The final exhale is a delicious blend that I want to keep vaping over and over. It reminds me of a fresh baked crumb cake with a hazelnut topping. This is very nicely done and has a great vapor production, and mild throat hit. I used a Doge RDA with a .4ohm coil build on my unregulated Gator Box Mod.
Alicia: 5 stars. I am in love with this one! It has everything I love about an e-liquid. It has that sweet, savory flavor that has me wanting more and more! The inhale is a sweet vanilla with an awesome brown sugar flavor mixed in, along with notes of hazelnut. The hazelnut is a great touch and is done perfectly, delivering simple notes of it instead of being too bold and taking over the others. On the exhale, the cake batter comes through and my, oh my… I love it!! Cake batter with hints of graham cracker-seriously, what’s not to love? They did a great job with blending and tweaking this recipe to perfection. This is a flavor I can see myself stocking up on.
Scott: 5 stars. This juice was amazing!! It is a smooth, amazing taste of vanilla with a sweet, nutty taste. I have to say I’m not much of a fan of nutty vapes. I could smell the hazelnut right off the bat, but when I first hit King-my taste buds went crazy! The mixture of these flavors is awesome. The inhale is a sweet vanilla mixed with a hint of hazelnut and brown sugar. The exhale has a delicious taste of graham cracker and batter and still carries a slight nutty taste. This is one juice that I would definitely consider adding to my everyday vape collection.
Dana: 5 stars. I agree with the rest of the team on this one-King is one of the best eliquids I have tried in a very long time. The flavors are so complex and work very well together. It has a vanilla and brown sugar inhale, cake and hazelnut on the exhale. King has a nice sweetness, it is not overly sweet. I love it! I could vape this all day long!
Earl
“Sweet lemon meringue combined with vanilla pudding and topped off with some pie crust crumbles.”
Dori: 4.25 stars. We all seemed to be right on the same level with Earl as well. I taste a subtle lemon flavor on the inhale and then the sweetness of the meringue kicks in and mellows it out even more. The surprise here is at the tip of the exhale when I get a little kick of lemon to the back of the throat. It seems that right after this the whole lemon meringue pie comes together as I begin to exhale. The vape is smooth and throat hit is mild. I liked this one more and more as I as kept vaping the bottle!! The vapor production is good and I used my Gator Box and Doge RDA again with the .4ohm coil build.
Alicia: 4.25 stars. Earl is good, but I think it could be better. With the inhale I get a straight vanilla pudding. It’s a nice flavor that isn’t too sweet but is lacking something. I’m missing the thick, richness part of the pudding that I really like. The exhale, I get a very subtle lemon flavor with some pie crust that has a tiny kick of spice that makes me think of cinnamon topped pie crust crumbles. It’s a good flavor, but I agree with Dori, the lemon is really subtle and I would like to taste more of it.
Scott: 4.5 stars. The sound of vaping lemon is a little scary, but after vaping this eliquid for a bit it was-how would you put it—Yummy! On the inhale I got a delicious taste of vanilla. Next, I have to disagree with the ladies because I got the full flavor of lemon and meringue and it was if I had just bitten into a fresh baked lemon meringue pie. The lemon was not a super tart flavor so when it mixed with the sweet meringue it was delicious. The vanilla custard gave it a rich creamy taste like a meringue pie should taste like. This was definitely a different vape for me, but the flavor was awesome.
Dana: 4.25 stars. Earl has a sweet, light lemon flavor on the inhale. It’s not overpowering like most lemon vapes. There is a sweet pudding on the exhale. I didn’t care too much for the pudding flavor, but still could vape Earl all day. Viceroy has just been a really enjoyable line, especially for an organic 100%vg line.
Emperor
“White chocolate creme brulee with orange peel and crunchy brown sugar.”
Dori: 4.5 stars. Emperor is a really creamy and smooth vape as well, but I get a just a smooth orange flavored vape. I didn’t get the white chocolate and rarely got hints of a brulee. I still gave it a higher rating because the rare hints of brulee that I did get were really tasty, although I really wanted to discover the white chocolate as well. I’m not a huge fan of orange flavors, but this is a really well done blend. On the inhale, I get the rich cream and then the orange flavor as I go into the exhale. The sweetness is spot on and the vapor production is really good with this eliquid as well. I really like the final exhale of the Emperor. Nicely done.
Alicia: 4 stars. I gave this one the lowest rating of the line, not because it’s a bad flavor, but because I really wanted to have that white chocolate creme brulee. Unfortunately, I couldn’t taste any of it. The orange peel isn’t a bad flavor and I think if the brulee would have been more powerful, it would have been a good combination. The inhale and exhale are both orange with tiny hints of brown sugar mixed in. Like I said, not a bad flavor, but also not what the flavor profile states.
Scott: 3.5 stars. The mixture of these flavors is a little unexpected–a white chocolate crème brulee with orange peel and crunchy brown sugar. This eliquid had a very strong orange flavor making it hard to detect the all of the other flavors. If you like orange, this is a good flavor for you. I didn’t notice much of the chocolate or the brulee, just the brown sugar that added a nice, sweet touch. I will say that for once I didn’t mind the orange. It was a good flavor.
Dana: 3.25 stars. Emperor has a strong orange flavor that I don’t really care for. I agree with Alicia and cannot taste any brulee, but I couldn’t taste the brown sugar either. The orange overpowers any other flavors that this might have. I would not vape this flavor all day.
Duke
“Sweet cookie dough mixed with warm cinnamon buns and finished with a sugar glaze.”
Dori: 4 stars. Duke was my least favorite of the line simply because the cinnamon is too overpowering. I seem to be on my own with this one. I ran this in a Popeye RDA on the Mad Modder OKL and as I went up in watts the cinnamon mellowed out a little bit, but I disagree with Alicia and it was still a little too much on the inhale. Alicia had the opposite experience as I did and got some of the pastry on the inhale and the cinnamon on the exhale. On the exhale, I did taste some of the pastry notes that were intended at 50 watts. I think a little touch of cream to add some more sweetness would have done wonders for this flavor. Duke was still smooth with a mild throat hit and great vapor production.
Alicia: 4.25 stars. For those of you that like cinnamon roll vapes, this would be one to try. The inhale is a nice warm cinnamon roll, with undertones of cookie dough and hints of a sugary glaze. The exhale is all cinnamon roll, heavy on the cinnamon. If you don’t like cinnamon, then stay away from this one. The cookie dough is very light and if I hadn’t read the flavor profile I probably wouldn’t have picked up on it. The glaze adds just enough sweetness on the inhale to mellow out the cinnamon just a bit. However, the exhale is missing the glaze so the cinnamon is extremely powerful and provides a decent throat hit. I started with this on my Sigelei 150 and Doge v2 RDA and then switched over to my Delta 2 tank on my IPV Mini 2 the throat hit wasn’t as bad and the sweetness on the inhale stood out a little more, but it didn’t tone down the cinnamon on the exhale. I would’ve liked to taste more of the cookie dough and a little less cinnamon.
Scott: 4.5 stars. Duke has a good sweet flavor, but the cinnamon is a little over powering, making it hard to notice the cookie dough. I think this could be mixed a little better. There is definitely a sweet taste of the sugar glaze mixed with the cinnamon. This tasted more on the lines of a cinnamon roll than anything else, but it was still very vape-able. So if you like a sweet cinnamon taste, this might be a good one for you to try.
Dana: 4.25 stars. I agree with Dori that Duke has a very strong cinnamon flavor on the inhale, but I like it. However, I don’t really taste any cookie dough or sugar glaze. This could be a nice addition to my vape rotation.
Conclusion
The team and I were all impressed with Viceroy Premium E-Liquid from Affordable Vapor. The blend of flavors were nicely done and for the most part, balanced well. There are amazing flavors coming out of these organic 100% vegetable glycerin(VG) e-Liquids, which can be tricky to do! Most flavorings in other eliquids are PG based so when you try to flavor organically…you really run the risk of losing out on flavor. I was very impressed with both the flavor and vapor that the Viceroy line produced. The price is very reasonable for a Premium e-Liquid. Make sure you check them out, especially if you are a dessert vape lover!!
As always, the team and I all have a unique way of tasting flavors but you’ll know who you relate to most after you read all of the reviews, after all, we all have our own style. These are our opinions and it is nice to have different views on the same product, don’t you think?
