I don’t know if there’s any other name for a device in vaping that can be considered any more memorable than the Nautilus. Especially to those of us who have been vaping for quite a long time the knot the Nautilus has become known to many as the gold standard for MTL style devices.

Aspire continues that tradition with the Nautilus AIO pod mod breathing new life into those iconic BVC coils having been introduced all those years ago. A long time vaper myself I’ll admit I was surprised to find myself using them again when I first reviewed this product. The feeling is nostalgic, like running into an old friend you haven’t seen in years.

One thing that has changed since those early days has been battery technology. Somehow aspire has managed to pack a 1,000mAh battery into this stout little deice. Combine that with the 12 W output and you’re talking about all day long lasting power and performance. Further enhancing the Nautilus AIO is a clicky fire key and nifty pod release button. Granted the pod release button doesn’t affect the way the device Vape’s but it does add a little layer of protection which is in as common as you would expect in this genre.

The Nautilus AIO with its high-performing 1,000mAh battery, responsive fire button, and tried and tested coil system make this a solid choice for our top 10 list. Don’t misinterpret the Nautilus’s tame appearance- compared to it’s more visually striking competition- as there are no wasted efforts here. The Nautilus AIO is a price friendly pod mod that doesn’t disappoint.

The Fetch Mini is the most recent addition to the smock line of pod mods they’ve delivered this year. Now if you’re wondering why we didn’t include the RPM 40 in this list, keep reading along and you’ll understand why the Fetch edged out the RPM 40 for our top 10.

The fetch mini continues to impress us by far, with one of the most versatile pod systems on this list. The search RPM pod and search Nord pod our cross compatible with previous SMOK devices sharing the same system. Both choices provide some really impressive coil setups we’ve seen so far in all pods currently available. With a 0.4ohm mesh coil and 0.6ohm triple coil topping out as some of the most vapor in flavor producing coils we’ve tested so far. Between the Nord and RPM coils there’s a total of 10 to choose from pretty much filling the needs of newcomers and advance vapers alike.

Encased in a zinc alloy in construction sandwiched in between panels of stunning AG reflective glass really give the Fetch a premium appearance. The etched glass is an elevated departure from the overuse of resin panels in resin swirl FX we’ve seen (rather over used in our opinion) of SMOK devices this year. The integrated 1200 mA hour battery is integrated battery may or may not be enough depending on what coil you’re running at the time. Needless to say lower ohm higher wattage selection will drain the battery faster than a higher on lower wattage set up.

Now onto the big question what separates the RPM 40 from the Fetch to place this in the top 10. It’s the design of the pods them selves. More specifically the redesign of the filling port on the fetch compared to the RPM 40. The fill port on the fetch is larger and so much easier to fill, leading to less spilling and leaking. It seems almost inconsequential to be arguing such a small piece of the design has such an impact on usability, but it’s the truth. The slightly larger fill port makes the fetch is solid performing pod device with a variety of coil options setting the Fetch waves above its competitors.

Simple sleek and stealthy are the best three words I can choose to describe the third version of the Sourin Air PLUS Series of Pod systems. A true pod system that means no messy coil changes to deal with and possible leaking of a bad O-ring or misaligned coil. The Sourin Air Plus almost looks like a concept design rather than a production product that is actually available. Aesthetically this may not be for everyone but if you’re a fan of minimalist modern design then look no further.

One advancement the Suorin Air Plus towers over its similar looking competition is most notably- Capacity. The previous version of the Air V2 could hold max 2ml of liquid, in the Air Plus you get a whopping 3.5ml capacity! If you’re using the 1.0 ohm coil in combination with nic-salt your going to be set for quite a while before having to refill. On the flip side if you using freebase e-liquid with the 0.7 ohm coil, you may find that extra capacity absolutely necessary depending on how much you vape.

In addition to the increase capacity there’s also huge improvements in battery life compared to the previous version. The Air V2 provided a reasonable 400mAh battery, but the Air Plus gets a huge upgrade with a 930mAh integrated battery. More than double the power of its predecessor, we can confidently say that this is much more likely to last a full days charge. Last but not least when you do need to give it a recharging there’s an upgraded USB-C port for faster charging and reliability.

If there’s something that the makers over at Geek Vape know how to do right is to deliver something different and surprising year after year. In the genre of pod mods Geek Vape presents us with a familiar shape and size but with a little something extra under the hood to separate it from the rest of the pack. When we first received the Bident to review it left quite a positive impression on us- even those of us not huge fans of pod setups. The refillable DTL 0.8ohm was possibly one of the greatest flavor deliveries we’ve experienced from a pod system using freebase e-liquid. From the first puff of a well primed coil your not going to be disappointed. With the dual coil set up you can expect to be refilling these pods a little more occasionally than the higher ohm 1.2 MTL, but that’s to be expected. Not to worry because after a thorough testing we can say the generous fill port on the base of the pod makes its one of the easiest to refill that we’ve come across.

Constructed of durable zinc-alloy, and powered by an integrated 950mAh rechargeable battery is quite impressive for a pod mod with such a slim profile. The responsive fire button is surrounded by a LED indicator light that color coordinates to one of the 3 power levels available. Complete with an advanced USB-C port for quick charging capabilities.

I’d like to offer a little caution to new users that may be considering this device as one of their first. As it may set their flavor expectations for pod mod devices a little high to start with. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, just know that when you’ve experienced such flavor it’s kind of hard to beat. The Pods are a really designed to hold MAX Capacity levels of freebase or nic-salt e-liquid to keep the refills to a minimum for even those heavy vape sessions. The 0.6ohm and 1.6ohm coils performed without any leaking issues to report on. Also compatible with the GS Air coils for those currently using them. Air flow to the coils has also had huge upgrades doing away with the old side-dependent airflow system. Utilizing a update threaded airflow control ring at the base of the coil for increased customization.

Some of you may remember the Vladdin Eden from October review with some particulars that our team had a few issues with. Now were not one to write off a device just because some of our initial impressions were less than glowing. So in a surprise turn of events after using the Vladdin Eden some of the simple features available with this device really separate it from the pack and has kept this device in steady rotation for some of us.

First and foremost the Vladdin Eden performs best when used only with nic-salts. If you’re shopping for a freebase high VG compatible device there are many others on this list that are going to fulfill that requirement. The RE compatible pods have a ceramic coil design that produce a good flavor for such small and compact deign. Not generating huge amounts of vapor really make the Vladdin a discrete device to use- if your looking for a device that isn’t going to draw attention while your vaping.

Not without mentioning the the draw-activated fire mechanism had performed flawlessly over the course of the past 2 months of use since we first started using the device. The 350mAh rechargeable battery isn’t the strongest performing of the bunch, but is sufficient enough to last though a day of light to moderate use. Anything more than that a quick recharge of about 35mins will get you up and running at full capacity in no time.

What really separates the Vladdin Eden from the competition is the included top cap that really helps to keep dust out of the pod system. For anyone who vapes and works in an environment that’s considered dusty (ie:construction/ trades/ warehouse) would find this function absolutely necessary. As I’ve mentioned before working in the wood shop the Eden has gained quite a following based on that function alone.
