A Preview for the SMOK Majesty RESIN Edition 225W Kit – What IS it about resin that gets vapers so excited? After all, it’s “just another type of vape mod,” right? Well, I can say the same thing about designer watches, high-quality pens, or luxury cars. Even though these items may not do their jobs any better than their standard counterparts, high-end items are a reflection of our personal style.
Vape mods are no exception. As devices, we carry and use each day, our mods SHOULD have a high-end feel. I refuse to part with my Revenant Cartel, even if I have newer mods that outperform it daily. Its one-of-a-kind resin body feels like a showpiece. Now, the ever-prolific SMOK is entering the high-end design fray, and we’re excited to give it a look.
The SMOK Majesty Resin edition uses this magical mystery material to turn its trademark mod design into something entirely more luxurious and unique. With a look similar to its recent ProColor box mod (minus the somewhat silly LED frame) the dual-18650 Majesty employs the same fantastic, hi-def color display and compact size, and adds a gorgeous resin finish and stainless-steel bezel to the mix. The result is an absolutely stunning evolution of a popular design concept.
Internally, the Majesty looks to continue SMOK’s recent run of successes, building upon the fantastic ProColor engine, with a max wattage output of 225 watts, full temperature control suite, intelligent atomizer recognition, and all of the standard protection measures we’ve come to expect from SMOK.
In addition to the fantastic screen comes the wonderful control scheme and operation from the ProColor, which was both clearly displayed and easy to navigate. Matched with the ornate resin body design, we expect this to be a mature, distinguished device.
Along for this artistic ride is the TFV8 X-Baby tank, which we reviewed here a few months ago. We mostly enjoyed the top-airflow version of the Big Baby Beast, and love the way it matches the design concept of the Majesty Resin. Looks aren’t everything … but let’s be honest, with a mod this attractive, they’re a little more important than usual.
The full kit will also include extra coils for the 4mL X-Baby, spare glass, USB cable and replacement parts. All in all, a pretty standard kit from SMOK. Except for one element – the price. Based on pre-order averages, the SMOK Majesty Resin kit is expected to launch around $65 – a tremendous value for a classy, upscale looking device, a proven device chipset, and a fully fleshed out kit package.
We’re expecting to receive the SMOK Majesty Resin (along with the SMOK Majesty Carbon edition, as well) within the next few days. Once we take it through its paces, we’ll let you know if this is going to be “all style, no substance,” or your next go-to mod.
Despite not seeing as much innovation on the INSIDE of the mod, we’re more than intrigued by how this forward, bold-looking device will compare to our other “luxury” devices.

The SMOK Majesty 225W TC Starter Kit chipset reaches to new heights with a full-color OLED display and an increase in max wattage output of 225W to pair with the coil-rich family of the TFV8 X-Baby Tank. The new SMOK Majesty RESIN Edition 225W TC Box Mod continues SMOKTech’s incredible advanced output devices, adopting the popularized squeeze-to-fire mechanism with two types of styling options: Carbon Fiber Edition and Resin Edition. The Majesty 225W TC Box Mod has been designed to integrate all of company’s most cutting-edge technology, introducing a truly customizable and user-friendly colorful OLED screen that provides essential data at a glance with vibrant display, from detailed battery state and output adjustments.
Powered by an advancement in chipset capability, the Majesty 225 has a maximum output of 230W and a plethora of output adjustments ranging from sophisticated temperature control suite with added Memory Mode for increased precision.
