A Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review – Blackstone
Blackstone Premium Eliquid-A Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review
When the new Blackstone Premium Eliquid arrived, I was excited to dive into the wonderful array of flavors and get the team into sharing our experiences with the flavors for our readers!! Sometimes one can just tell an Eliquid is going to be made well.
The Blackstone blends in this review are unique, composed of more than one or two flavors, and all possess a sweet element. From cream to spun sugar the Blackstone line is a consistent smooth vape at 3mg.
Blackstone is the second line released from Dream E Vapor, their Premium line if you must. Blackstone is made with 100% USA sourced USP Kosher propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG). The blends are mixed in a FDA inspected lab that uses high tech blending and measuring equipment to ensure consistency and customer safety of all ejuice flavors.
Let’s throw ourselves into Blackstone for a little while….

Blackstone Premium Eliquid Particulars
The bottle sizes that are available are 30ml and retail for $18.99 which is pretty reasonable at $.63/ml for a complex Premium Eliquid. The nicotine levels available for the dripping blends (Insanity and Tricorn) are 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, and 12mg. All of those nicotine levels are available for Heavenly, Shipwrecked, and Mackay with the addition of 18mg as well. The blend is mixed at 60vg/40pg for the Heavenly, Shipwrecked, and Mackay, which are great for tanks or drippers. Insanity and Tricorn are mixed at 80vg+ which are designed mostly for drippers and tanks designed to run high VG blends.
Packaging
Blackstone Premium Eliquid is bottled in 30ml glass bottles with childproof glass droppers. I like the classy, sophisticated look of the line. The black labels with silver writing are neat looking and easy to read. The name is BIG and BOLD. The three main flavor components are on every label, but so are the ingredients, nicotine level, expiration date, lot number, and born on date. The size is of course listed as well as the proper warning. Everything is on the Blackstone labels and done in a structured manner that is appealing to the eye!
The JUICE…
This is what it is all about: the flavor. We have five to cover. I’m Dori, the head writer, and will kick every flavor off with my thoughts as the team follows. Remember as always, taste is subjective and is in the mouth of the beholder. I do believe I’ve assembled a truly unique team. We all have different palates and I value each opinion of those on my team. Let’s see what we come up with for these for unique blends!!
INSANITY
“Insanity Drippers Blend e-liquid: Sweet Spun Sugar also known as cotton candy blended with sweet sugar cane and blueberries make this premium drippers blend eliquid Insanity. You’ll blow massive clouds and love every vape. (made with maximum VG for an intense cloud especially for drippers) ”
Dori: 4 stars. I feel a little middle of the road about this eLiquid. It may be due to the sugar cane flavoring, and maybe that is the first flavor I taste on the inhale that I don’t care for, but I’m not sure. The sweet blueberry flavor that comes next is quite tasty. The spun sugar swirls in on the exhale, and then the blend becomes truly delicious! The vapor production is really good and throat hit is mild. I am using a Doge RDA built at .3 ohms on an Eleaf iStick 50w at 46watts.
I also ran this in an Atlantis Tank at 24.5 watts. The flavor is kind of really blended through a tank. I get the berry note on the tip of my tongue as I inhale and the sweetness from the sugar right along with it. I cranked the wattage up a little bit, but the sweetness is still a little much. It isn’t too bad, just a little much for me, and I tend to like overly sweet vapes. The exhale is a decent sweet cloud of vapor and there is just a mild throat hit with the tank as well.
Alicia: 3 stars. I’m sure everyone would agree when I say that there is such a thing as too much sugar. Insanity, for me, is just that, too much sugar. The first couple of hits, I get a nice sweet blueberry on the inhale and the exhale is a decent but extremely sweet sugar flavor. After the first 2, maybe 3 hits, the blueberry flavor is gone and is replaced with nothing but sugar. If you can eat sugar by the spoonful then maybe this is a flavor for you. Don’t get me wrong, I like sugar on certain things and I like sweet treats-but this is way too much. I would like to be able to taste more of the blueberry because it was a really good blueberry flavor but the sugar drowns it out, and then it disappears. I tried this out of both a tank and RDA hoping the sugar would be toned down in a tank. Unfortunately, it’s not. Honestly, I had the hardest time getting the sugar flavor out of my stock coil, that I ended up just throwing it away.
Scott: 4.75 stars. I know there were some of us on the team that thought this was really sweet and one that somehow got no sweetness at all, but I have to say that I enjoyed the extra boost of sweetness! However, it could have used a little more blueberry flavor. I noticed after the first couple hits, the blueberry flavor was very delicious, but once the sugar formed on the coils, the taste of sugar was more over powering then that of the blueberry. The smell of the vapor had a nice blueberry smell. I did mess around with my builds on this one and noticed the higher the build; the longer the blueberry taste lasted. I only did 4.75 cause of then sugar was a little overpowering. In my opinion, if you want an eLiquid with a good, sweet blueberry flavor-this would be a good one for you.
Kris: 3 stars. When I opened the bottle of Insanity, it had a very light blueberry smell. I disagree with the rest of the team; I got barely any sweetness or flavor. As I started vaping this using a dripper, I really did not get any flavor except the slightest hint of blueberry. I switched to an Atlantis Tank and I barely got any flavor at all. I was pretty disappointed with this considering the other four flavors were explosive.
Adam: 4.25 stars. As soon as I open the bottle of Insanity, I can really smell the blueberry flavoring. When I drip the eLiquid, I barely taste the blueberry. I taste more of the sugar cane and sugar. I felt as if I was eating a spoonful of sugar at times. It was really sweet, but had an easy inhale and exhale. If you like them sweet, this one is for you!!
HEAVENLY
“Heavenly e-liquid: Gourmet Cookies with hints of toasted almonds and sweet glaze make Blackstone’s Heavenly premium eliquid satisfy your sweet vape tooth. ”
Dori: 4.5 stars. I do find this eLiquid Heavenly in a way! I am not usually drawn to eLiquids containing a note of spice. Few have tickled my fancy to be honest. It is so easy to overdo a spice note of any type. On the inhale, a nice note of cinnamon starts off the vape. It is followed by a really nice nutty, almond tasting flavor. The flavors mix on the exhale and create a nice blend with a decent vapor and mild throat hit. It reminds me of those almond cookies at Christmas time perhaps…if you would dust them with a little cinnamon at the end. The vape is really full of flavor and I am enjoying it!!
I also ran this in a Kanger Nano Tank and the flavors presented themselves in the same way. I prefer dripping this one, just because there is a little more flavor involved.
Alicia: 4.25 stars. When I first start with Heavenly, it’s bold and has that “in your face” spice flavor. But, as I continue to vape it, it calms down a little but not much. The inhale I get almost a gingerbread flavor. But as I let it linger, I can start to taste the Toasted Almond with maybe just a little cinnamon and spice. At the tip of the exhale I get a sweet flavor that I’m guessing is the glaze but it’s gone as soon as I taste it and it’s replaced with more of the toasted almond and spice.
The sweetness of the glaze comes back at the very end of the exhale. I would like to see more of the sweetness throughout this flavor. There’s enough in it to tease you, but for me there needs to be more. Also, the spice tends to overpower the rest of the flavors. If you like spice, and lots of it, this is one to try. But for me, it needs to be toned down and more sweetness added. Overall, it’s not a bad flavor, just not one that I can add to my rotation.
Scott: 4.5 stars. When you first crack open the bottle, the smell is amazing! After you add some heat to it, the taste is heavenly! Heavenly has a great taste of almond and a slight hint of sweetness that reminds me of a glazed almond cookie. The mixture of the two was amazing. It didn’t have an overpowering almond taste and the sweet glaze mixture makes it good enough for an every day vape. This is definitely one I would consider using on a regular basis.
Kris: 5 stars. Delicious, unique, and smooth is how I can describe Heavenly. I used an Atlantis tank at 30 watts. This is spot on. On the inhale and throughout the exhale, I tasted a cookie with a sweet hint of almond splashed with some glaze. I love juices like this, so true to the flavor description. Heavenly will definitely be a daily go to for me.
Adam: I chose not to vape this one due to an allergy.
SHIPWRECKED:
Shipwrecked e-liquid: Minty vapers will enjoy a sweet melon cream vape. Inhale a melon with fresh minty peppermint cream that isnt over powering. An all day vape.
Dori: 4.5 stars. I really like the flavor and the Peppermint in this eLiquid. I am, however, having issues detecting the melon note-it is really mellow. I think the Peppermint and cream present itself very well, and had the melon been a tad more prevalent, I would have awarded it 5 stars! On the inhale, I get a nice, creamy peppermint flavor that is really smooth and refreshing. There is a tiny note of melon dancing in the background that I can vaguely taste every once in awhile. On the exhale, peppermint clouds fill the room. With a mild throat hit at 3mg, this is sure to please any peppermint lover’s void.
I ran Shipwrecked in a Kanger Subtank Mini as well at 24watts, and the peppermint is also really smooth and refreshing throughout the inhale and exhale. I really do not get any melon through the tank though, but it’s still an amazing flavor that I would enjoy dripping or in a tank!!
Alicia: 5 stars. Mmm peppermint! As I stated in a previous review, I love peppermint vapes. Shipwrecked is different from your normal melon with mint though. The cream adds another layer and makes this a light and smooth, yet creamy vape. I started out with this in my RDA. On the inhale, I get a smooth, creamy melon flavor with a touch of coolness. The exhale I can really taste the peppermint crème and the coolness of the vape really comes out. It mixes well and leaves a nice, minty, cool, refreshing aftertaste.
When I switched over to my Delta II tank, the flavor changed slightly. The melon and cream are sweeter out of the Delta on the inhale. On the exhale, the crème of the peppermint comes out just a bit more. It’s definitely more of a mellow vape through a tank than RDA but good either way. At 3mg, the flavor and vapor production is good. This would be a nice flavor to sit down and relax with on a hot summer day! Scott: 5 stars. Well, this may be named Shipwrecked, but it’s definitely NOT a wreck. This juice has an amazing taste of melons and peppermint. The mixture of these flavors is great and gives it a nice, cool melon taste. The inhale was a nice, cool mint taste. On the exhale, the melon flavor comes into play. I feel like I just ate a piece of melon out of the fridge with that nice, chilled flavor. I had to give this 5 stars because I enjoyed the taste and the blend was very well done.
Kris: 4.75 stars. This tastes good to me even though I never like mint flavorings. Shipwrecked reminds me of a not too strong candy cane flavor-and I don’t really care for candy canes! It is a sweet, refreshing juice. However, I agree with Dori and I taste very little melon during my experience and that’s why I gave it 4.75 stars. I am using an Arctic tank at 62 watts. I will be putting this in my weekly rotation.
Adam: 3 stars. I really don’t care for Shipwrecked because it reminds me in of a cough drop in a way. I guess it’s the way the peppermint, cream, and watermelon all blend together. It wasn’t very pleasing to me, but does have an easy inhale, exhale, and give off a huge vapor.
MACKAY
MacKay e-liquid: If there was a prize for complex eliquids MacKay would take first place. Crisp apples blended with tobacco and 4 different cream bases give this premium eliquid top shelf status.
Dori: 4.5 stars. By the time I get to Mackay, I realize just how good of a product Blackstone produces. Their blends usually include three flavors. They are mixed well and taste great. They may not be in my flavor preference, but I have to give them props where props are due. The apple flavor in Mackay is really nice. I believe it is the crème that makes it so appealing to me. I just like the blend of the flavors on the inhale, and the subtle tobacco undertone that hits on the exhale. This is a nice blend for a variety of vapers. I get a taste of the crisp apple before the crème mixes in and the flavor is spot on.
I also put this in an Atlantis Tank and ran it around 25 watts. The crème and tobacco seemed to mix in right away with the apple this way. The flavors were well blended throughout the vape and still had a great flavor.
Alicia: 4 stars. I find myself becoming fonder of tobacco vapes lately. On my Biohazard Box with the Derringer, Mackay has a nice apple inhale with subtle creamy notes. The apple flavor is definitely a nice real apple flavor, and I do get that “crisp apple” feeling. On the exhale, I’m getting a very light tobacco and the subtle creamy notes carry over and smooth out the tobacco just a bit. It’s not a harsh vape, but it does have that dry tobacco feeling to it. The apple doesn’t take over and the tobacco really comes through. I switched this over to my Atlantis and noticed a difference. I’m not tasting the apple and cream. It’s more of a straight tobacco. Still not a bad flavor, but you have to like straight tobacco in order to enjoy this one through a tank in my opinion.
Scott: 4.5 stars. I have to be honest, I’m not much of a tobacco flavor fan, but Mackay definitely got my attention. This blend of apple and tobacco was good. I would have enjoyed it if the apple was a little more pronounced, but that’s my opinion. The apple flavor that I did get reminded me of eating a fresh apple off the tree. The tobacco wasn’t a hard harsh tobacco flavoring compared to some juices. The reason I gave this such a high rating is because even with me not being a tobacco fan, I would have to say I probably wouldn’t have a problem vaping this one again.
Kris: 5 stars. I used my dripper for this juice. I want to say I really don’t like the taste of tobacco. However, this is really good and I was pleasantly surprised! I honestly only get a hint of the crisp apple and tobacco. But, the two of them united on my taste buds and left me wanting more. Love it!
Adam: 4.75 stars. This flavor I really like because of the apple and crème flavors. It reminds me of going to a carnival and getting a caramel apple, only with crème in place of the caramel. I could vape this eLiquid every day. There is a nice smooth inhale and exhale and very good vapor production. Mackay is an all around great eLiquid by Blackstone.
TRICORN
Dori: 5 stars. The mix of bourbon, Tahitian vanilla, and crème is just beyond words. I could stop there, but I’ll go on. This is a smooth blend of three flavors where every vape changes just a little. For example, I notice the vanilla a little more sometimes. Next, the bourbon seems more enhanced. The crème is always swirled in with either flavor-sometimes less, sometimes more. This eLiquid is just a unique blend that I could see myself dripping on a regular basis. It is simply DIVINE!!!
I also ran this in a Kanger Nano Tank at 25 watts. The flavor was nice and evenly blended, but I got a little less crème this way. I definitely enjoyed it dripping more!!
Alicia: 4.75 stars. It took me awhile to decide whether I liked this flavor or not. The bourbon flavor was throwing me off a bit, as it’s complex and different. However, after vaping this for a couple hours, it definitely grew on me. Tricorn is one that I can see myself vaping when I am out for a nice evening of dinner and drinks. On the inhale, I get the bourbon flavor with some spice notes throughout. The exhale is a mixture of bourbon and vanilla and just a slight touch of cream. At first, I thought it needed a little more cream, but as I continued to vape it I realized more cream would take away from the vanilla. I’ve also noticed this flavor tends to change just a little with each hit. Sometimes the vanilla and cream is really prominent in the exhale and others the bourbon comes out just a bit more than the vanilla. The complexity keeps my taste buds on point and really is a vape to enjoy in the evenings.
Scott: 5 stars. This flavor was definitely different. It was a hate, love kind of taste. I wasn’t too sure what to expect with this flavor combination, but have to say the more I used it, the more I became addicted to it. The taste you get is an amazing bourbon on the inhale, and on the exhale; you get this sweet mixture of vanilla and cream with a hint of the bourbon. I would probably use this as an all day vape-which surprised me for sure! The reason I gave this 5 stars is there combination of the flavors were amazing and I definitely enjoyed it.
Kris: 5 stars. I love Tricorn. I was skeptical because I have never tasted a juice with Bourbon in it that tasted this good. The flavor is explosive! I honestly can’t say enough or praise this flavor enough. This is spot on to the description. On the inhale, I get a Sweet Bourbon with a good dose of vanilla cream. The flavor is consistent throughout my experience. This has been the top of my list from Blackstone and this is going to be in my daily rotation.
Adam: 3.75 stars. I am getting a heavy vanilla crème with a subtle, but pleasant hint of Bourbon. The inhale is a little bit harsher, but it has a nice, smooth exhale. The crème really enhances the vanilla flavor-especially on the inhale. I seem to taste the Bourbon more on the exhale. I’m not quite as excited as the other team members about this one.
CONCLUSION
Overall, I commend the Blackstone line for being a solid, smooth vape with a ton of flavor, a decent vapor production, and a mild throat hit at 3mg. The team and I can all tell that the best ingredients are used and there is a little bit of complexity that goes into the blends. We enjoyed the unique flavor combinations and most earned at least one five star rating!! The way the flavors hit your palate are meaningful…and I personally like that. I believe that out of the 20 blends that Blackstone offers, more than one will definitely be worth a try for most vapers. If you would like to place an order, make sure you type in Blackstone in the search window at www.vapefab.com. We will be covering more by Blackstone down the road, and the team and I will be looking forward to sharing our views on those flavors as well!!
