By a show of hands, how many people started their vape journey with a vape pen or tube-style vape mod? I would guess there’s more than a few. It wasn’t THAT long ago that a long, tubular eGo pen was the epitome of “advanced” vaping, with rotating voltage dials and 1mL cartomizer tanks that separated us from the disposable cig-a-like masses.
After that, even larger pen-style devices began to pop up, such as the premium ProVari and Lavatube mods, as well as the economically priced Vamo which gave us a staggering 11 watts of output at a bargain basement cost.
Fast forward a few years, and this style of vape device has long been supplanted by the ubiquitous box mod… or has it? VAPORESSO CASCADE ONE / ONE PLUS STARTER KIT
The Vaporesso Cascade was one of our favorite high-wattage sub-ohm tanksthis year, so we have to admit, we were a little disappointed when we learned the Cascade Mini would not be using the same coil heads. Ply Rock Vindica Slim Pen Starter Kit
A month ago, I had never heard of Ply Rock. Today, two of the company’s devices have made our top 10 rundowns. That’s because the Ply Rock Vindica Slim Pen vape mod is a loving tribute to the salad days of vaping, while also showing how there’s still plenty of room for improvement and potential in the pen-style vape format.
This fully featured, unibody mod design comes with a 1,100mAh integrated battery, leak-free top airflow design, and a compact, rounded structure that makes the Vindica perfect for travel, or any environment in which discretion is a must. Choosing the Top 10 of the Best
So many of the current and available stick-like devices on the market share overly similar specs and features, making it very difficult for the consumer to choose the right device. That one (or two) inexpensive vape kits that earn their keep, perform and last a good long while.
