The VSTICKING VMESH comes from Dongguan VSTICKING Technology Co., Ltd. This Sub-Ohm Tank, and their VK520 Mod are the first two products to come to market. The company works closely with YiHi, as evidenced by the VK520 being powered by the YiHi SX530 chipset. Still, the VK520 box mod is a whole lot less expensive than the typical YiHi SXmini mod I’ve seen. But, since this review is for the VMESH Sub-Ohm, I’ll leave it at that.

SPINFUEL VAPE REVIEW SCORE
“ELEMENT

The VSTICKING VMESH Sub-Ohm Tank is exquisite in the looks department. It’s also engineered with precision so that the threading is silky, the raised diamond pattern knurling is smooth, and the 510 connector is of such a length that no matter what mod I used it on, it sat flat, flush, and secure. This is one well-made sub-ohm tank. Kudos to VSTICKING for such commitment to quality. It is, by far, a luxurious looking design.

VSTICKING VMESH SUB-OHM TANK REVIEW by Spinfuel VAPE

Performance

Vapor Production– The VSTICKING VMESH Sub-Ohm Tank is also one hell of a cloud machine. With very easy draws from its thick, ‘510’ resin drip tip (though the drip tip itself is much thicker), the VSTICKING VMESH throws clouds a thick as any tank I’ve ever used. In fact, the clouds of vapor are so thick, even with my initial small draws during the break-in period, that I was alarmed I would fill the room with vapor in seconds. (I did by the way).

Flavor Fidelity– It’s in the name, VMESH. Supposedly the ‘claim to fame’ for this sub-ohm tank are the Mesh Coils. Mesh Coils are the latest ‘must have’ in brand coils because the heating element, the wire, is constructed as a mesh, with a magnitude of surface area for the eliquid saturated in the wicking. Mesh coils were predominately made to produce a more authentic and purer flavor fidelity.

When you purchase the VSTICKING VMESH you get two Coil Heads; a 0.2ohm Kanthal Mesh Coil rated for 40-100W (preinstalled) and a 0.1ohm Ni80 Mesh Coil, rated for 40-90W. The Kanthal Mesh Coil delivers better flavor, and it surprises me that the company would build a Ni80 (Nichrome) coil.

The VSTICKING VMESH Sub-Ohm Tank is available in 3 colors; stainless-steel, black, and gunmetal. I own the gunmetal model and it is elegantly beautiful.

VSTICKING VMESH Replacement Coils

The VSTICKING VMESH Replacement Coils are coils designed strictly for use with this Sub-Ohm Tank. The Replacement Coils, for now, are the two types of coils included in the tank kit.  While the Ni80 0.1 ohm rated at 40 to 90W, its best range is 50 to 70W. For me, the optimal wattage was 62W. Also note that this 0.1-ohm rating just might not work on the mod you own, so check the specs first.

The Kanthal 0.2-ohm coil that is rated at 40 to 100W, has a best range of 50 to 70W. My optimal wattage for this coil is 65W.

Each pack of coils comes with five (5) replacement atomizers that are vertically oriented mesh and are wrapped with organic cotton wicking.

Mesh Coils and Flavor

Before I began this review my ‘go-to sub-ohm’ have been the Horizon Falcon Resin Artisan sub-ohm tank (reviewed here). It’s M Triple Mesh delivers the flavor wonderfully. I used my experience with the Falcon and the Skynet (the current favorite of the staff), to compare the flavor authenticity of the VSTICKING VMESH.

In the early minutes of my initial vaping with the VMESH I was disappointed that the flavor fidelity fell well short of my initial vaping with the Artisan and Skynet Mesh coils. I find that the break-in period for Mesh coils to be much shorter than non-Mesh coils, so this threw me off. That said, less than 10 minutes later the flavor popped, and it was…. Pretty awesome. I wouldn’t say it deserved an A+, but definitely an A.

With just two products on the market as of October 17, 2018, the VSTICKING VMESH Sub-Ohm Tank is the flagship vape tank. (when you only have one tank, it’s the flagship, right?)  Constructed with a high-quality stainless steel, the VMESH Tank features a leak-proof threaded top fill system. However, removing the top cap will be difficult on the first try.

There is two layers to the top cap; the raised diamond pattern knurling, and the thin section underneath that attaches to the coil chimney and features two fill slots. The factory over tightened the two sections and only after you manage to release the upper part of the top cap from the lower part you’re more likely to remove the entire top cap section. Don’t freak out if this happens, just screw it back into the coil head, push down on the top cap while turning it. From then on, the proper part of the top cap comes off with a twist.

On the inside of the top cap is a silicone seal to prevent leakage, and because the threads line up so well, there’s not much to worry about when it comes to leaking.

The base of the VSTICKING VMESH features dual airflow slots that are easily turned while the tank is attached to the mod. While some airflow slots are a burden to adjust, the airflow on this tank is silky smooth.

The VMESH Tank comes with the thick, reinforced 4mL bubble glass, but provides an extra glass tank with less capacity. (The specs say 2mL, but to me it looks substantially larger than an average 2mL glass tube)

Vaping the VSTICKING VMESH

I got to say, as its first tank, the VMESH is quite a good effort from VSTICKING. I did not expect such a cloud chaser when I first opened the box. And the fact that it does produce such enormous clouds with little effort, I suspect that once enough reviews are out this will become a popular sub-ohm tank.

I know that Nichrome does have its supporters, but despite the 0.1-ohm resistance, and wide latitude of wattage, I found the flavor fidelity to be lacking when compared to its Kanthal sibling. The Ni80 did produce gigantic clouds, but the flavor was off…muted actually. When the replacement coils arrive I’ll definitely be sticking to the Kanthal coils.

Last Words…

The VSTICKING VMESH Sub-Ohm Tank is quite frankly an excellent flavor and cloud maker. I have no doubt that most vapers looking for a tank that throws huge amounts of vapor will be very happy with it. And, at under $30, there’s plenty of value to be had. Hopefully the replacement coils will be plentiful soon.

Mesh Coils are here to stay, and they can only get better by further tweaking from all the brands currently making them. Mesh Coils drink up the eJuice faster than non-Mesh Coils, but in the end, the flavor fidelity and the immense vapor are worth it.
