Nicotine salt e-liquids aren’t exactly “new” anymore, but they remain a very popular choice for MTL vapers looking to boost their nicotine levels in low-wattage setups, like pod systems. However, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a mod/tank kit designed around these unique juices. At least not until the intriguing Wismec CB-60 kit arrived at the Spinfuel VAPE offices.

First, the attractive, sleek, palm-friendly CB-60 mod has an internal 2,300mAh battery rated for up to 60 watts. However, with the companion tank and coils aimed solely for low-wattage/high-nic vaping, it’s not likely most of Wismec’s target CB-60 audience will ever come close to maxing out the device.

At just under 76mm tall with an ergonomic, trigger-style design, the CB-60 is a discreet, but full-featured device, capable of stealth vaping when needed. However, it’s also sufficiently weighty and substantial in the hand, so there’s no worry about durability and longevity.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the Wismec CB-60 mod is its rapid 2-amp Quick Charge functionality, which is purported to get the device to a full charge in very short order, using the included QC cable. We’ll be sure to test this feature extensively during our run-through.

The companion Amor NS tank is a subdued affair (and we assume the “NS” stands for “nicotine salts”). But given the tank’s solitary purpose of MTL vaping, we weren’t expecting a lot of flash and functionality. The tank is 22mm in diameter, and holds a TPS-friendly 2mL of e-liquid, so MTL vapers should have plenty of room for a day’s worth of high-nic vaping.

The included pair of 1.5-ohm MTL coils are old-school in both design and purpose. The e-liquid ports are certainly wide enough to allow high-PG juices to flow freely, but we wouldn’t recommend trying to put these coils (or tank) to use with anything thicker than 50/50 e-liquid.

Of course, with up to 60 watts of power, the CB-60 can certainly power sub-ohm tanks. And power is the operative word, since – despite a heavy focus on flavor, there is seemingly no temperature control options on the mod itself. An interesting decision by Wismec, but perhaps one that speaks to simplistic enjoyment, rather than endless menu adjustments.

That said, there are a wealth of protection features built into the WISMEC CB-60 mod, to ensure things don’t get too hot or overpowered. Though we never “stress test” our devices (well, not intentionally, anyway), we are curious to see how this MTL-focused kit handles more demanding use and lower resistance setups.

Our full review will let you know if the CB-60 kit is a jack of all trades, or better suited for one style of vaping. Expect it within the next week or so!
