Vaporesso is certainly getting a lot of mileage out of their flagship Revenger mod design. And with good reason – the Revenger series has proven to be a formidable, popular mod series, with performance to match the stellar design. The latest entry, the Revenger GO internal battery mod kit, is poised to continue this trend, now with the convenience of a 5,000 mAh built-in cell!
We just got the Revenger GO in our hands, but we’re already pretty impressed with what we see in this kit. Let’s take a quick peek to see what’s going on under the hood.
Some shiny new enhancements…
The Vaporesso Revenger GO is a natural follow-up to previous Revengers, as it maintains the same overall look and feel, right down the the signature beveled edges, ergonomic grip, and simplified display. However, the GO adds a little more ornate design additions, to make this one stand out on your crowded shelves.
The 5,000 mAh internal battery is supposed to make the GO a little smaller than its predecessors, but we haven’t done a side by side comparison just yet. However, we can confirm that the same general grip, heft and feel are all firmly in place, and fans of previous Revenger models are going to feel right at home with this edition, as well.
The touch-sensitive, haptic-feedback button scheme returns, and is a finger-buzzingly cool as ever. It might not be a full touchscreen experience, but it definitely adds a “higher-tech” feel to controlling the Revenger GO than we’d get from standard buttons. Maybe it’s superfluous, but we like it.
Finally, the 0.96-inch display is nearly identical to previous Revenger models – that is to say, it’s bright, legible and easy to decipher, even in direct sunlight. While we wish Vaporesso would move to a display as advanced as the rest of the futuristic looks, this version seems to do its job well, and stays out of the way.
Under the hood...
Despite the internal battery, the Revenger GO is designed to go from 5-220 watts – something we plan on testing quite thoroughly, since we’ve had some issues with these claims in the past. But, with the effective smart wattage mod, customized wattage curve adjustments, and full slate of temp control options, we expect the Revenger GO to hit all these marks, and more.
That said, this is the same OMNI 2.2 chipset we’ve seen on several editions of the Revenger already. While the board always does its job, we’ll be testing to see if it might be time for Vaporesso to consider an upgrade. At the end of the day, it just needs to vape properly. But we also have been conditioned to expect advancement in the rapidly growing vape industry, and hope to see some performance boosts where appropriate.
Also in the box…
The very well-done Vaporesso Revenger GO internal battery mod kit includes the outstanding NRG sub-ohm tank, alongside a pair of GT cores. We’ve discussed this tank at length, but will definitely have some thoughts on how it pairs with the Revenger GO kit, and if it’s a good value overall.
I will say this – I’ve grown to love the NRG tank after a VERY rough initial impression last year. Not only is it one of the most flavorful tanks I own, but the cross-compatibility with SMOK Baby coils only makes it a better value.
As you can see, we’re pretty excited about the Vaporesso Revenger GO kit, but we’re definitely going to watch the battery performance, chipset advancement, and overall kit value VERY closely to see if this stylish new Revenger is a natural evolution of the series, or just a small variant of something we already know and love.
