Two Senators of the Canadian Parliament are considering introducing legislation ranging from a ban on ads to a ban on flavored liquids. I guess some people are still looking for their 15 minutes of fame, hug?

Let me be clear about something. If selling flavored e-liquid in black bottles with white letters I’d be okay with it. I don’t care about the packaging. I care about the e-liquid in the bottle. My favorite e-liquids come in various bottles, glass or plastic, and if they had to conform to something plain it wouldn’t matter to me, and I suspect, you. So what’s the big deal?

From the Globe and Mail

The federal government (in Canada) must take immediate action to stop vaping companies from targeting young people, according to two senators who say they will raise the issue once the next session of Parliament begins in December.

Look, we’ve been publishing Spinfuel VAPE for 8 years and we’ve spoken to hundreds of owners of e-liquid and mod companies and I can tell you with certainty, no one want kids vaping. It’s a headache for the company, and it doesn’t look good. This has always been a non-issue. If we were to discount JUUL users and just consider Vapers that use e-liquids, sub-ohm tanks, and mods, the number of people using more than 3 or 6mg of nicotine is a tiny number. These senators, and anti-vaping groups, are all concerned about nicotine addiction. Banning ‘packaging appealing to kids’ is supposed to be based around nicotine addiction. Right? Look at JUUL, the most popular e-cigarettes of the teenagers. The packaging of the JUUL certainly isn’t aimed at kids. Doesn’t that tell you that kids don’t care about packaging either?

The Globe and Mail Continue…

Members of the e-cigarette industry interviewed by The Globe say they comply with federal rules and are committed to ensuring products don’t end up in the hands of minors. The industry says their target is existing adult smokers.

And, that is the truth. So, as long as flavors are available do what you want with packaging. We don’t care. Kids don’t care. Take your 15 minutes, bask in it, then sit down and shut up. The world is full of real problems guys, even in Canada.
