It’s no secret that Spinfuel VAPE, and most other vape gear reviewers, support external charging of all the 18650 batteries Vapers own to power all their mods. The reasons are many, but the best reason for removing the batteries and placing them in a dedicated battery charger is no down time. While previewing the C2 Smart Charger this lack of down time came in very handy indeed.

Why No Down Time

The best reason to own an external battery charger like the MIBOXER C2 Smart Charger, or the C4 Smart Charger, is never having to stop what you’re doing to recharge the batteries. Whether that mod has pass-through charging or not, it’s a pain in the butt. Keeping an extra set of batteries charged and at-the-ready means never having to stop what you’re doing while your favorite mod is tethered to your computer or a wall adapter.

 Other reasons for choosing to remove the batteries from the mod include safety and recharge speed. External Chargers are made for recharging a wide variety of batteries safely and quickly.

There are a few names in our industry that most Vapers know about, the most common of course if Nitecore, a longtime supporter of Spinfuel VAPE. We love our Nitecore chargers, period. But for some, there are options besides Nitecore. Today I will tell you about one that I was recently gifted, and I must admit, I like it a lot. In fact, I like it enough to write this review to inform our readers a Chinese manufacturer that makes battery chargers that go toe-to-toe with Nitecore.

 About the MIBOXER C2 Smart Charger

 I charge several batteries every day because during the week, at the office and at home, I am constantly picking up different box mods equipped with different tanks that are filled with various eliquids.

I do this mostly when reviewing a new set of eliquids for the Spinfuel Eliquid Review Team, but

because I have access to dozens of devices I like the ability to change what I’m vaping at a moment’s notice. That said, because I shy away from built-in batteries, for the most part, I must remove and replace 10-12 18650 batteries every single day.

After receiving the MIBOXER C2 Smart Charger (a 2x battery charger) I read through the manual and plugged it up next to my 4x battery charger, the Nitecore i4. For the past few weeks the MIBOXER C2 Smart Charger has worked every bit as well as the i4 from Nitecore.

The main features that caught my attention early are;

The C2 Smart Charger automatically selects the best charging current.

It also automatically adapts to the load capacity of the power adapter that’s included, one for the outlet in your home or office, and an adapter for your car.

The C2 Smart Charger detects each capacity of the batteries while charging.
Finally, the C2 Smart Charger tells me the remaining charging time needed for the batteries I’m charging. In total, there are eight fully automatic charging functions that assures a fast, safe, and high quality charge every time.

Even for people that have concerns about charging batteries “correctly”, the C2 Smart Charger makes everything ‘automatic’. A real plug-n-play charger, the owner doesn’t need to worry about the mAh rating or the amperage. The C2 Smart Charger reads all this information into its ‘brain’ and sets the charging up without the user having to do anything.

 Automatic Adjustments on the Fly

The C2 Smart Charger can adapt to the load capacity of the power adapter. What this means is that when you’re using the wall adapter, or the car adapter, the C2 Smart Charger knows, and makes the needed adjustments to best charge the battery cells. The C2 identifies the battery type automatically and selects the most appropriate charging current.

In fact, the C2 Smart Charger can judge the characteristics of each battery. For instance, if you are charging a 6-month old 2600mAh battery, the C2 Smart Charger detects the “real” mAh, which changes during the life of the battery, and adjusts to the way the battery is recharged to maximize safety and efficiency.

The MIBOXER C2 Smart Charger will detect the battery capacity and internal resistance, then calculate the remaining charge time as well as the battery charge ‘percentage’, so that it fully understands the battery it’s charging so as to apply the right current to the battery.

 The LCD displays on the charger is large enough to make it easy to read and understand. The display shows the voltage, current, charging time, internal resistance, and battery percentage, and lets you know the battery charging status instantly.

The C2 Smart Charger is made with fireproof PC+ABS materials, and is completely heat-resistant. It’s also environmentally friendly.

MIBOXER is not Just for Vapers

I know most of us only use rechargeable batteries for our mods, but there is quite a bit of people that buy rechargeable batteries for all their devices that run on these power cells. The MIBOXER has one of the longest lists of compatible cells that it can charge and recharge time and again.

Conclusion

Although we haven’t yet seen a vendor carrying the C2 or C4 Smart Charger from Miboxer, we’ll make sure to update this review when we know.
