228W Joyetech eVic Primo 2.0 with UNIMAX 2 Full Kit

NOTE* The new eVic Primo 2 now will ship with the ProCore Aeries Sub-Ohm Tank

Joyetech can whip out upgrades and complete overhauls faster than any manufacturer we know of, well, except for WISMEC and eLeaf, but these three companies are three divisions of the same corporation. Still, hearing that a new eVic Primo 2 and UNIMAX 2 is on the way, was surprising. From what we understand now, the Kit version, eVic and Tank, will retail right about $100.

It was just a couple of months ago that the completely redesigned eVic, the eVic Primo, was unleashed on the public, along with the UNIMAX 25 Sub-Ohm Tank in the Kit version (Review Here). Now, within the next week to 10 days, Joyetech’s eVic Primo 2, along with the UNIMAX 25 V2, will ship to vendors.

While we cannot speak to the improvements, changes, or upgrades, with the Version 2 devices, we do have a list of the features and specs of the upcoming vape gear. Here’s what we know so far:

  • Powered by dual replaceable 18650 batteries.
  • The eVic Primo 2.0 has a maximum wattage output of 228W.
  • New “equalizing” charging system.

Standout Changes to the eVic Primo box mod and UNIMAX tank

The eVic Primo 2 – The USB Charging has increased from 1.5A to 2A. Maximum Wattage Output has changed from 200W to 228W

UNIMAX 2 Tank – Until we have the Kit in hand, we can’t see any changes to warrant an upgrade to a version 2.

What do we think?

So far, we’re befuddled by Joyetech’s decision to release a new version of the eVic Primo and the UNIMAX tank. We’ll certainly hold back our verdict on the new Kit until we’ve had time to use it. During the review period, we’ll switch back and forth between the Kit we reviewed in late January, and this new Version 2.

The only thing we’re sure of at this point is that if you’ve purchased the eVic Primo Kit, there’s no reason to spend more money for the new version.
