It’s funny that Augvape chose to develop this deck around a velocity-type format, since the company claims the Boreas v2 airflow will travel through the tank at “high velocity” creating more ample clouds and flavor. Time will tell if this claim is true, but we’re nonetheless intrigued.
That’s right, cloud production AND optimal flavor – a bold claim by Augvape, but considering the length of time it has taken the company to release the Boreas v2, we have no reason to doubt them.
Furthering the user-friendly focus is the two different tank sizes available in the box. The Boreas v2 can either be arranged in a flavor-intensifying 2.5ml arrangement, or a more capacious 5ml with the included chimney extension piece. As with any RTA featuring extended chimneys, we’re curious to see if the larger capacity setup negatively affects flavor.
The Boreas v2 package is rounded out by an 810 Delrin drip-tip, a 510 tip adapter, stainless steel body and gold-plated contacts. All in all, Augvape has developed an attractive RTA that has the potential to be a game-changer if the angled airflow marries flavor and cloud production like the company has promised.
More importantly, will the Augvape Boreas v2 live up to nearly two years of development? We’ll have the Boreas v2 in our hands soon, and those answers soon after. Once we do, you can expect a thorough review to follow.
When it comes to using any RDA, RTA, or RDTA, Spinfuel VAPE strongly recommends washing and cleaning the atomizer thoroughly and carefully. We also strongly recommend testing every coil with a good ohms-meter before using them with your mods, other devices and/or batteries. Coils with extremely low resistances are not suitable with all mods, so make sure you know your atomizer limit, as well as the mods limit before building and testing any new coil. Make sure to check that your mods, handle low resistance coils before using them.
