UPDATE: Smokenjoey has created an exclusive video for the Arctic Tank, only available on Smokenjoey.com!
Hey Folks, today I take a good long look at the HorizonTech Arctic Tank. As some of you may know, this review is sort of a Part Two to accompany Spinfuel’s The Cold Open video on the Arctic Tank. John Manzione (The Cold Open) did a good job in his narrative style, and today I hope to bring you all the comprehensive information about this new tank that has the entire vape community abuzz with excitement. Is that excitement warranted, or is it more hype than substance? We’ll find out in this video, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the review!
The Horizon Arctic is a brand new tank by a company that out to win the sub ohm tank wars. This tank has huge slots in the coils to wick juice like you’ve never seen before. Horizon Tech’s sub-ohm coils come in two different ohms: 0.2 ohm & 0.5 ohm resistance. You get both when you buy the tank. This tank is rated up to 100 watts as well.
Features include:
0.2 ohm & 0.5 ohm resistance coil heads
USA-made Kanthal wire used in the coils
Organic cotton wick
BTC (Bottom Turbine Coil) technology
12mm intake holes
Adjustable airflow
10W-100W
304 stainless steel construction
3ml juice capacity
Details of this review:
I disassemble the coil to the Arctic Tank and compare it to the Aspire Atlantis, the Joyetech Delta 2 and the Kanger Subtank.
I vaped with a .2-Ohm Coil and discovered that the flavor really shines, but is it worth the 65 watts, or 100 watts?
With a Bottom Turbine Dual Coil vertical design the arctic tank can produce the vapor, but at a cost. Shorter battery life, an increase in eliquid consumption (you’ll go through even more juice than the .5-ohm coils!), are just a couple of the effects of vaping at .2-ohms.
As always, I welcome your comments.
