Spinfuel Expands Beyond the Website
In late 2012, Spinfuel announced plans for its first newsletter, scheduled to begin in January 2013. The project reflected an early ambition to give readers another way to follow the magazine’s reporting, reviews, and commentary.
The original announcement described a publication still finding its voice: new columns, editorial experiments, reader questions, and a desire to share recent work in a format readers could keep and revisit.
An Early Publishing Experiment
For a young digital magazine, a newsletter was more than a mailing list. It was an attempt to build a regular editorial rhythm beyond the daily website, with room for recaps and staff perspectives alongside the main publication.
That effort belongs in the Spinfuel Chronicles because it shows how the magazine tried to grow its relationship with readers during its first year.
What This Archive Does Not Offer
The original announcement invited readers to sign up for a specific launch, discounts, giveaways, and product-related promotions. Those offers are long expired and have been removed. This page does not provide a current newsletter subscription or promotional offer.
Why This Announcement Matters
Spinfuel’s history is not only its product coverage and opinion writing. It is also the record of a small publication building the tools, formats, and community it hoped would sustain it. This 2012 announcement captures one of those early steps.
