Unboxing

The first step is to open up the box. Inside your blu Starter Kit you will find:

  • One blu pack, which holds five cartridges and charges your batteries on the go!
  • Two blu batteries
  • One wall charger
  • One USB charger
  • One five-pack of cartridges in the strength and flavor of your choice
Set Up/Initial Use

For optimal performance, fully charge the batteries and blu pack before using blu.

Attach a new flavor cartridge to the battery.

Press blu to your lips and inhale. The blue LED light at the tip glows like a real cigarette to let you know it’s working.

Charging Pack

There are two ways to charge the blu Premium and blu Premium100 packs.

To charge the pack using the wall charger, plug the charger into the nearest outlet. Connect the large end of the enclosed USB cable to the charger and the small end to the bottom of the pack.

Three blue indicator bars on the side of the pack reflect the current charge level. During the charging process, the indicator will continually cycle through all three bars until charging is complete. When the pack is fully replenished, the lights will stop cycling and the pack will vibrate.

To charge the pack using the enclosed USB charger, unplug the USB cord from the wall charger and connect the large end of the cable to the USB port and the small end to the pack. When the blue indicator bars have finished cycling and the pack vibrates, your pack is fully charged.

Blu Cigs Pack as Battery Charger

Unlike blu Original, blu Premium and blu Premium100 packs include a No Screw feature that eliminates the need to screw the spare battery into the pack to charge. As long as the battery is in the pack, it’s charging.

Three red indicator bars on the side of the pack reflect the current charge level. During the charge process, the indicator will continually cycle through all three bars until charging is complete. When the battery is ready for use, the lights will stop cycling.

Store the battery in the port until needed. The updated battery management system prevents over-charging and ensures the batteries will always perform at an optimum level.

Replacing Batteries

When the battery is depleted, the blue LED at the end of the battery will blink 30 times intermittently to signal it is ready to be recharged.

To replace the empty battery, secure the cartridge in one hand and unscrew the battery from the cartridge.

Grab the fresh battery from your blu pack and reattach it to the cartridge. When you’re finished, recharge the empty battery by screwing it back into the receptor.

Remember to unscrew a newly charged battery from the receptor when the light on the side of your pack goes out.

Note: During use, the LED light will flash 5 times to warn you that you are overusing your blu and you should take a break. This does not affect performance and does not mean you should recharge.

Replacing Cartridge

On average, each individual cartridge supplies enough nicotine and premium flavoring to accommodate approximately 250 puffs. When the cartridge no longer produces vapor, you’ll know it’s time for a replacement.

To replace the cartridge, hold the battery with one hand and unscrew the cartridge from the battery.

Take a new cartridge and screw it onto the battery and you are ready to resume.

Note: If you are leaving your blu for a period of time and not using, unscrew the cartridge from the battery slightly so it is not activated while not in use. If it’s not on, it’s not on – leave the plastic cap and leaf seal on your cartridges until you are ready to use them.
