SMOK NOVO 2 Pod Vape Review – Our Experience with the NOVO 2
We tested the SMOK NOVO 2 for a little over two weeks to see how it performs as a daily driver. For testing, we used a variety of 50mg salt nicotine e-liquids from different brands. Let’s take a closer look at our experience with the NOVO 2.
NOVO 2 – Pod Performance
The NOVO 2 comes with two different pods: one 1.0ohm Mesh Pod and one 1.4ohm MTL Pod. Both pods are good for different styles of vaping and produce amazing flavor and decent cloud production.
The 1.0ohm Mesh Pod is great for those who enjoy a restricted direct lung hit. It provides a warmer and denser vape with excellent flavor. This is the pod that we used the most during our testing.
The 1.4ohm MTL Pod is for mouth to lung vapers and provides a satisfying cigarette-like draw. It’s a good pod for those who are just switching from smoking to vaping, and it performs consistently well for flavor.
Both pods are side-fill and feature two magnets at the bottom to hold the pod securely into the device. We had no issues with the pods wiggling or falling out. One full fill of the 2ml pod will last for a few hours of consistent vaping.
NOVO 2 – Battery Performance
The original NOVO had a tiny 450mAh battery, which lasted for about half a day of vaping before needing to be recharged. The NOVO 2, however, features a larger 800mAh battery that can last for a full day of consistent vaping before needing to be recharged. We were very impressed with the battery life of the NOVO 2 and had no issues with it dying on us during our daily use.
The NOVO 2 recharges via micro-USB and takes around 45 minutes to fully charge. It also features passthrough charging, which means you can vape on it while it’s charging.
NOVO 2 – The Draw (MTL/DTL)
The SMOK NOVO 2 is an auto-draw device, which means there are no buttons to press. Simply take a drag, and it will automatically fire. It also has an LED battery indicator light that lights up every time you take a hit.
The draw on the NOVO 2 is excellent. When using the 1.4ohm pod, it provides a satisfying mouth to lung hit that is very similar to a cigarette. When using the 1.0ohm mesh pod, it provides a restricted direct lung hit that is very smooth and flavorful.

The NOVO 2 has a very sleek and ergonomic design that fits perfectly in the hand. It’s also very lightweight and compact, which makes it easy to carry around in your pocket or purse. The build quality is excellent, and it feels very durable in the hand. We had no issues with it scratching or chipping during our testing.
The NOVO 2 comes in a variety of colors and finishes, including carbon fiber and resin. The finish on the device is excellent and doesn’t show any fingerprints or smudges. Overall, we were very impressed with the build quality and design of the NOVO 2.
