Sigelei MT 220W TC Box Mod Preview
I don’t quite know what “Sigelei” translates to, if anything. But I know it doesn’t mean “subtle.” Because – on the heels of the Kaos Spectrum, the Kaos-Z, and the Fuchai GLO — the Sigelei MT mod, in all its LED-lit, full-color-screened, steel-piped glory. It’s a bold statement from a company once known for more reserved device design.
Oh, and did we mention the glowing alien face fire button? Yeah, this might not be the mod to take along when trying to explain how vaping is a mature, adult practice.
Looking a little closer at the Sigelei MT, the boldest design decision might be in the frame itself, which appears to be constructed of multiple symmetric steel parts. My test model had sharply contrasting, individual chrome battery tubes, held together by a matte alloy frame. The back of the mod is equally open and hollow, with aggressive cutouts top to bottom.
Fans of larger atomizers, take note – the MT mod has a 33.5mm width, meaning those gargantuan tanks and RDAs will sit with room to spare. Considering the brash design, it’s likely they’ll look right at home, to boot.
The front of the MT mod features a bright, even loud, full-color TFT screen, a translucent plate exposing the circuitry, a series of adjustable LED lights that illuminate the entire front side of the mod, and a fire button that resembles a cross between a stereotypical alien face and the Transformers logo.

Yes, the eyes light up, as if you had to ask.
Despite the industrial, brash description, the Sigelei MT feels pretty good in the hand. The symmetric format and centered 510 connection means the device is balanced, while the hollowed out structure keeps weight in the “hefty but not unwieldy” range. All in all, a good first impression, but we’ll see how this oddball design choice feels to use over the course of an entire day.
Though “Sigelei” might not translate to “subtle,” it might be connected to the word “durable,” since the MT feels as if it could survive several hard drops from elevated heights. We call mods durable quite often on these pages, but there are very few I’d trust to survive a flat-faced landing on concrete. I’d trust the Sigelei MT to not only survive, but continue putting on powerful, cloudy light shows right after.
While the Sigelei MT has a “love it or hate it” look, there’s little doubt the internal components will deliver the goods. With a max wattage of 220 watts, a thorough temperature control suite, TCR settings, bypass mode and more, the Sigelei MT is a fully fleshed out package from the vaping veterans.
We probably – probably – won’t be putting the Sigelei MT through those types of paces, but we’ll certainly test the mod’s power claims, resistance limits and more. Thanks to its obtuse design, Sigelei has already made a memorable device. Let’s hope the MT offers an unforgettable vaping experience to match.
