The Augvape Skynet 24mm Sub-Ohm Tank is, without a doubt, the biggest performer this reviewer has used all year. Augvape has built the powerful Skynet Mesh Coil Sub-Ohm Tank for serious cloud and flavor chasers, and with the most mature looking tank you can imagine. I can’t wait to tell you about my experience with it. So, let’s go…

The Augvape Skynet 24mm Sub-Ohm Tank is another superior mesh tank that you will want to pick up at least one (and a spare pack of coils) if you’re into ginormous clouds and intense flavor. Additionally, the Skynet coil (Kanthal) breaks in faster than any other coil I know of. Within minutes of vaping this monster performance sub-ohm I was vaping at 100%. I love it when I get the opportunity to review a product that instantly becomes a favorite.

The Augvape Skynet Sub-Ohm features 5.1mL bubble glass tank section (default) and the Augvape Skynet Coil System. The Skynet bottom cap has a triple airflow slots that will allow huge draws and high wattage pulls without overly warm vapor. The preinstalled Mesh Coil Head is rated at 0.15-ohm (registering on my Lost Vape Triade at 0.14-ohm) with a wattage range of 60-80W, which is conservative. Opening the airflow slots fully I vape at 87W and the vapor is only “warm”, but the clouds and flavor are incredible.

That said, despite performing excellently at 87 and even 90W, the preinstalled coil lasted just 5 days before the flavor started to dull. I learned my lesson and installed the spare Coil Head (the same 0.15-ohm 60-80W Mesh Coil), lowered the wattage to 79W, and I’m now on my 7^thday of use. So far, I’ve witnessed no degradation after a full week of heavy vaping.

First up, the wide, stubby 810 drip tip. This is the type of drip tip you find on competition RDA’s; short, resistant to heat, and wide enough to pack your lungs with vapor. While you expect your lips to touch the metal top cap, the heat never reaches the top cap to the point where you’ll find it uncomfortable.

The top cap comes off with a simple twist and reveals two large fill slots for fast and easy refills. Because there are two fill slots, it allows the air in the tank to escape quickly through one slot while the user is filling the tank with the other. The top cap has a slightly knurled feel to it, making it easy to grip and twist.

The bubble glass tank section feels like a thicker, high quality glass, less prone to breaking during a fall. I can’t swear to it, but it feels thick, durable, crystal clear.

I’ll include an inside look at the Mesh Coils, so you can better understand how Mesh Coils allow for more surface area to come into contact with eliquid saturated into the cotton, while the heat from your mod instantly vaporizes more eliquid at the same time then non-Mesh Coils. This extra surface area allows for both deep clouds and flavor, but it also makes for one thirsty tank.

The Augvape Skynet Tank built from high quality stainless steel and reinforced glass. Unfortunately, Augvape has chosen to include a small, straight glass section that holds just 3.6mL of eJuice, and should the day come where you need to use it, you can expect that 3.6mL to go fast. This IS one tank that deserves two 5.1mL bubble glass sections.

Lastly, the Skynet tank uses Augvape’s 0.15ohm Mesh Coil exclusively. But honestly, I can’t see anyone wanting to use anything else in the Skynet.

I think I’ve said quite a bit about vaping with the Augvape Skynet in the first couple of paragraphs, but I can tell you about my first experience using it.

The Skynet Sub-Ohm Tank came to me wrapped in bubble wrap. Removing the bubble wrap I found the all the parts, the tank, spare coil, spare parts, and spare glass tank, sitting tightly in a small plastic box about the size of ring box. Everything was in its place, and the Skynet tank had a coil already installed.

I twisted off the bottom cap in order to drip a few drops of 70:30 VG:PG eJuice into the coil and the large eJuice ports around the coil head. Unlike tanks from earlier in the year, the bottom cap twisted off without too much effort, and the coil remained screwed into the base. Like always, I unscrewed the coil head and reseated it, just to make sure nothing shifted during shipping, but especially because of quality control issues at the factory. You will want to make sure the preinstalled coil is seated properly before using it.

Once I screwed the bottom cap back on I twisted off the top cap and filled the tank, and then returned the top cap to the tank. I decided to use my favorite mod, the Lost Vape Triade DNA250C. (reviewed here) It was a good choice. Despite the Skynet looking wider than it is, the 24mm looked good atop the Triade.

After attaching the Augvape Skynet to my Triade I took several deep draws from the wide drip tip without firing the mod in order to get the cotton in the coil saturated faster. After 2 minutes I began vaping at 60W. Vaping at 60W is hardly enough, and I knew instantly. It made me look again to make sure that the wattage range was truly 60-80 watts. So, 10W at the time I found I could vape wonderfully at up to 90W. Believe me or not, but just the very first real draw from the tank tasted “off”, after taste my favorite eliquid tasted exactly as it should. This is the first sub-ohm tank to break in after a single draw.

Taking several long draws from the Skynet the one other employee that was here in the office actually complained and asked to put a fan between us. Absolute truth. The downside was that after half a dozen big hits I could actually see that the eJuice had found a newer, lower, level in the tank. Vaping the entire 5.5mL (or like 5mL, I don’t vape till empty) took less than an hour.

The Augvape Skynet Mesh Sub-Ohm Tank is honestly one of the best sub-ohms on the market right now. In the time that I’ve been using this well-made powerhouse, I’ve experienced no leaking, no spitback, just pure unadulterated and joyous vaping. To top it off, this is also my first Augvape device I’ve used. Simply remarkable.

If you’re looking for a powerful vape with thick flavorful clouds of vapor, and purity of flavors, and don’t mind the 5.1mL capacity, this $23 tank will be one of the best products you’ll buy this year.
