Please forgive the immediate sidebar, but this is my fourth review for Spinfuel, and I feel I need to pay an homage to Dr. Seuss. Why? Because we’re reviewing the Snow Wolf Wocket pod mod system. Please just bear with us…

The SnowWolf Wocket POD SYSTEM is a unique POD-MOD design equipped with a 1150mAh battery for an all-day-long vaping experience. Impressions and Aesthetics of the Wocket Pod Mod

SnowWolf is known for powerfulchip processing and consistently reliable performance. With a lineup that includes the MFENG and XFENG high-wattage systems, the company is more well-known for its more-advanced devices. But the Wocket manages to add some high-end aesthetics and features to the usual pod mod trappings.

What separates the Wocket from other pod systems is the 0.69” OLED screen, adjustable wattage, and the pod that isn’t actually a pod. Granted there are other podsystems out there with adjustable wattage like the recently reviewed VAPMOR VGO. Instead, the SnowWolf Wocket is a device that says,“a wattage range just isn’t good enough.”

Measuring in at 3-5/8″x 1-9/16″x 9/16″ the Wocket is smaller than your average business card. But it has “big mod” finish options like real resin, celluloid, luxury and frostedto choose from. What’s not to love about the Wocket? We’re glad you asked, because there’s always room for improvement. And even though our gripes are limited here, there’s one pretty big one to consider.

The Wocket Pods

The Wocket system is like a pod but not a pod in the traditional sense.  In lieu of a cartridge system the pod contains the X-GRID 0.7ohm press-fit coil system. Capable of holding a generous 3mL of e-liquid. That’s an extra 1ML of liquid over most of the competition, which translates into less filling and more vaping.

Installingthe pod section to the base isn’t as intuitive as one might expect. In fact I can’t even explain how I did it. With a little bit of a “press and pinch” action the two pieces eventually click together and become a functional unit. My best explanation is just to let your judgment guide it into place.

Installingthe 0.7ohm X-GRID coils is a breeze and is pretty straightforward. Pull the old one out, push the new one in, and vape away. Where the pods have a super tight tolerance, the coils almost seem loose by comparison. So loose, in fact, that that they can bespunin the pod while actually being seated properly.

This leads me to believe that the extra tight fit of the pod section helps seal the coil into the system. This could be up for debate, but I can say that I didn’t experience any leaking despite relying on my intuition to get the whole thing assembled properly.

Vaping the Snow Wolf Wocket

The X-GRID0.7ohm MESHcoiland pod brings some intricate airflow options. At the face of the mod are two airflow slots that pull air through the pod and into the coil. At the base of the coil (which are set before installing the pod) is an adjustable airflow ring. This could take some testing; it’s kind of a nuisance if you’re particular about the setting.

I left it wide open and found that this configuration worked best for me. Additionally,the drip tip has a passthrough airflow ring. Which is great if you like bringing in more air than delicious clouds of flavor. The passthrough airflow does what it’s supposed to—increase the amount of air you can pull in but happens above the coil. This is similar to when ice melts in a drink and the flavor is watered down.

I’d prefer the restricted lung hit with full-on flavor rather than the muted experience the control ring provides. Fortunately with the 510 connection I was able to swap this out for a standard 510 drip tip and found I had a much better experience.

With the X-GRID coils measuring in at 0.7-ohm resistance rated for 7-20 watts. The sweet spot is around 15-18w providing a full day of moderate vaping. The mod reaches a max wattage of only 25 watts which makes the integrated 1,150mAh battery essential, unless you’re hauling a portable USB charger with you. That said, the Wocket is rechargeable via a front-mounted micro-USB port with the included, extra-long premium cable. The device can go from depleted to a fully charged in about 60-80 minutes.

Pros:

• OLED screen… on a pod mod?

• Rapid fire and ramp up

Cons:

• Push fit tank to mod is tricky
• Pass-through drip tip weakens flavor
• Airflow is finicky

The 25-watt SnowWolf Wocket pod system is a compact, somewhat sophisticated device that sits in the higher end of its class. The 1,150mAh integrated battery and 0.015 instant fire response are huge wins, and make for a responsive, satisfying experience overall. This portable and powerful device along with its premium looks are welcome additions to any seasoned vaper’s collection.

For those new to vaping may find the pod and coil system a bit tricky to get “right” but it’s hardly impossible. And once you do, you might just find the Wocket to be a quality all-day vape device. Just remember to grab some pod cartridges along with the mod when placing your order.
