When is an “all-in-one” device not enough? This is often debated by vape reviewers, who try to pinpoint which audience would be best served by a specific product. The all-new Sigelei Humvee kit stirred up more of these discussions.

On one hand, it’s about as powerful as any of the other 80-watt devices we’ve seen, but can still be put to use as a solid, versatile MTL mod with the right airflow settings. On the other, it’s a limited, mid-range device that would benefit from a little more power and battery life to be a better “next step” for vapers looking to advance to the next level.

Discover the Sigelei HUMVEE 80W Starter Kit Kit, powered by a single 18650 battery, 5-80W range, and bottom-filled 5mL pod capacity with press-fit coils. Constructed from durable zinc-alloy, the chassis of the HUMVEE can withstand light falls and drops with ease. Accommodating a single 18650 battery, the HUMVEE Starter Kit can fire between 5-80W with ease. On top of the device, a 5mL refillable tank resides, accepting 0.3ohm and 0.15 mesh coils, in a press-fit manner. Firing in a smart auto curve mode, the HUMVEE is great for beginner and advanced vapers alike.

Aesthetics of the Sigelei HUMVEE

This ultra-compact, but suitably weighty Vape mod packs a lot of technology into a diminutive frame, with a single-18650 format, 5mL pod tank system, and more, all on board. That said, it’s a pod tank device, with a proprietary, magnetic FOG tank attachment that doesn’t allow for traditional 510 tanks to be used.
But the fit and finish of the device is phenomenal, with a nice combination of resin accents and a velvety coated alloy that feels as luxurious as it does durable. It feels great in the hands, no matter how you choose to fire it.

It doesn’t hurt that the Sigelei Humvee is also pretty sharp – my gray and resin swirl test model looked almost like it was made of ceramic, with gorgeous build quality and detail.

One minor complaint is the gaudy display, which Sigelei has been using for several years now. While it’s accurate and legible, it contrasts poorly with the sleek mod exterior.

Vaping the Sigelei Humvee AIO Vape mod

All in all, the Humvee AIO performs well. With the low-resistance coils and wide-open airflow, I was able to produce some respectable clouds in my office, with decent flavor to match. The coil itself breaks in quickly and is comparable with some of the industry’s better products. While it’s not game-changing performance, there is more power here than the device lets on.

Using either of the two included (0.3-ohm and 0.15-ohm) coils, I found the Sigelei Humvee AIO was a mostly smooth, effortless vape, with fairly quick ramping, and surprisingly warm vapor production, even for a mod that maxes out at 80 watts. Interestingly, there are some minor levels of stuttering at higher wattages, which almost feels like the battery is pulsing. It’s not distracting, but it is noticeable.

Filling the pod tank was perhaps the easiest part of the Humvee experience. The opening is wide enough to handle just about any bottle or dropper tip, and I never once found myself overfilling or leaking. It sounds like a small benefit, but I grew to appreciate how user-friendly it was, and how much newcomers might feel the same.

Air Flow

One area I loved was the Humvee’s built-in airflow control. While I didn’t initially see much difference in vape quality, I began to notice a distinct change in the experience over time. Using both coil heads, I was able to easily shift from a restricted MTL vape to something wide open – all using the same coil.

That said, having a few other coil resistance options would have been a nice touch to accommodate new vapers. Is the Sigelei Humvee AIO a “true” AIO Vape mod? Not really. But there is more versatility in this setup than you’d initially believe.

A mod like the Humvee AIO is really aiming for flavor more than room-filling clouds, anyway, and the setup is designed for these users. With a moderately viscous e-liquid, I found the Humvee’s compact, stout tank design and narrowish mouthpiece to offer concentrated flavor, which should suit beginning vapers just fine.

Pros:

  • Fantastic finish and build quality
  • Good battery life for a single-18650 device
  • Fairly versatile

Cons:

  • Limited coil variety
  • Battery pulsing at higher wattages
  • Proprietary design with no 510 compatibility

Sigelei HUMVEE Bottom Line

The Sigelei Humvee is a pretty solid little AIO/pod mod hybrid. Despite its conservative power output, I genuinely enjoyed the vape quality. It’s a high-performing welcome mat for newcomers who’ve tired of pod mods and want something more substantial.

Because of this, the Humvee earns a solid score. But that said, the score below could have been even higher, if the Humvee included a wider range of coil resistances, or perhaps a touch more power to make this “user-friendly” experience a little more advanced.

Score: B
