It has been nearly three years since Eleaf began their “iStick” revolution. Three years for a single brand, a single family of devices, to grow into a multi-million-dollar empire of its own is an incredible feat, even in the fast-paced, ever-changing industry of personal vaporizers. With the introduction of the iStick 200W TC, Eleaf continues to prove its leadership, this time in the area of raw power.
If you enjoy Triple-18650 Box MODs then the iStick 200W TC is something to look at. For under $50, the Eleaf iStick 200W TC is not only powerful, delivering an honest 200W of power, but also offers the latest in Temperature Control options, including TCR. The iStick 200W TC is a well-built box mod that looks and performs like a much more expensive device.
Like its brethren, the iStick 200W TC is a firmware-upgradeable device and available for firmware upgrades from the Eleaf Website. You won’t find firmware upgrades from the vendor you buy it from; this type of upgrade can only be found from Eleaf.
Today, we’ll take an extensive look at the new Eleaf iStick 200W TC, and then rate its overall performance, features, and value.
Overview
The Eleaf iStick 200W TC is a large device, though comfortable in the hand. It measures in at 84mm (3.3in) tall, 57mm (2.24in) wide and 37mm (1.45in) deep. The device is slightly larger than the Wismec Reuleaux RX200s (which is 84mm x 50mm x 40mm) and considerably larger than the Pioneer4U IPV5 (95mm x 58mm x 28mm), for example.
The iStick 200W TC features a three-button front-facing operational design, including the fire button, and dual buttons at the bottom of the device for plus/minus functions. The bright OLED screen is positioned on the side of the device. The battery compartment, which houses three 18650 cells, is protected by a solid, bottom-loaded, hinged door. A 510-threaded connection sits atop the device in a centered position.
Eleaf made the iStick 200W TC from Zinc Alloy, giving the device a satisfying weight and durability. The device is available in black, white, and red.
Like the Wismec Reuleaux series, the iStick 200W TC does not include onboard charging via the USB cable; instead, it uses the USB cable for firmware upgrades only. Eleaf recommends charging all three 18650 external batteries with an external charger, something Spinfuel has always advocated. However, the device does include an internal balancing charger, which is nice to know in case you’re stuck without an external charger for a short period. I still recommend external charging as your primary method.

Eleaf’s official website has the iStick 200W TC available for just under $40, and online vendors are selling it for $39 to $49. The prices are competitive with the other top 200W TC Triple-18650 Box MODs, like the Reuleaux RX200s ($59.95) and the IPV5 ($54.95).
Performance and Operation
The iStick 200W TC works just like the other iStick devices, with the usual 5 clicks On/Off, and three clicks to enter the menu, where you can choose between Variable Wattage and Temperature Control modes. There are also 3 TCR memory slots for customized Temperature Control settings.
The iStick 200W TC uses a bright OLED screen that makes it easy to read all the essential data you need for vaping. The screen shows the current Wattage/Temperature setting, Resistance, Voltage, and Battery Life for each cell. The display is bright enough for outdoor use in direct sunlight. (See image below for the display layout).

There is a lot to like about the iStick 200W TC, and the performance and operation are at the top of the list. The iStick 200W TC provides an instant ramp up for atomizers, even those with large, exotic coils. It never fails to fire when the button is pressed, and the Temperature Control functionality is accurate and precise.
Having used several Eleaf devices, I am always impressed with their consistency. The quality control at Eleaf is very good, and you can rely on the company for well-built, reliable vaping devices at great prices. The iStick 200W TC is just one more example of Eleaf’s ability to deliver a quality product.

The iStick 200W TC feels good in the hand, despite its somewhat larger size. The contoured shape fits nicely in the palm, and the fire button is easy to reach and engage. The up/down buttons, located at the bottom of the device, are slightly recessed into the device, making accidental changes a non-issue.
The Centered 510-threaded connection is not spring-loaded, but its depth provides an ideal connection for a multitude of atomizers, including all the atomizers I used for this review. There were no “No Atomizer” alerts, and all the tanks screwed down tightly with no gaps between the atomizer and the device.
Battery Life
One of the most significant advantages of Triple-18650 Box MODs is battery life. Despite the amount of power consumed at 200W, a three-cell device will provide enough battery life for a full day of heavy vaping, or two days of light-to-moderate vaping.
For this review, I used 3x Sony VTC6 18650 batteries. These 3000mAh cells deliver 30A of continuous discharge current, making them ideal for high-wattage vaping. I also used various atomizers, including the Wotofo Serpent Mini at 45W and the iJoy Limitless Plus RDTA at 70W and 120W. Battery life was excellent in every instance.
You can expect excellent battery life with the iStick 200W TC, especially if you stick to the lower wattage range (40W to 80W).
Conclusion
The iStick 200W TC by Eleaf is an excellent box mod. Its build quality, features, power, and performance are on par with devices that cost twice as much. This is a real 200W device that can handle every atomizer on the market, at every resistance range, whether you prefer Variable Wattage or Temperature Control.
This is Eleaf’s first Triple-18650 device, and they knocked it out of the park. From the excellent hinged battery door to the centered 510, the ergonomic contour, and the accurate Temperature Control modes, the iStick 200W TC is a device that will certainly find its way into the hands of vapers looking for a high-quality, high-power, and affordable device.

While some vapers have taken to comparing the Eleaf iStick 200W TC to the Wismec Reuleaux RX200s (and earlier models), Eleaf has produced a device that, while similar in some aspects, manages to stand on its own in terms of performance and user experience.
With its high-power output, accurate TC modes, and affordable price tag, the Eleaf iStick 200W TC deserves high marks and the Spinfuel Choice Award.
