Innokin has always been known for their battery technology, and for providing some of the highest quality APVs in the industry for years. Their MVP line is extremely popular around the world. The MVP 20W isn’t meant to replace their MVP 3.0 (60W), or even the MVP 2.0 (11W) with its voltage/wattage adjustability, but rather, as an alternative to the MVP 2.0 in the realm of high quality, yet simpler battery APVs.
Like many of our readers, many of our staff members still use the original MVP for an all-day, no-fuss vape. The MVP line is rugged, easy to use, has a large capacity battery and can also charge other small electronics. It’s also inexpensive and a perfect starter device. But while the MVP 2.0 gave the user some flexibility with voltage/wattage adjustments, the MVP 20W keeps things even simpler.
Innokin iTaste MVP 20W
The MVP 20W is, first and foremost, a battery. It’s a box mod with an internal 2600 mAh battery that charges through a micro-USB port at the bottom of the device. The battery can also be used to charge your phone, or other small electronics, through a standard USB port on the bottom of the device as well. It’s a sturdy device, built out of Aluminum and Zinc Alloy, and measures 107mm long, 42mm wide, and 22mm deep. It fits nicely in the palm of your hand and is comfortable to use. It comes in 3 colors; Silver, Black, and Gold.

MVP 20W in the Real World
Like all MVP’s, the 20W is a real workhorse. Solid as a rock, this device will withstand all the bumps and drops it’s likely to encounter with normal use. It’s very comfortable to hold, and the buttons are firm and responsive. The screen is clear and bright. The battery life is phenomenal for a 2600 mAh battery, mostly because it performs so well with single coil clearomizers (1.5-2.2-ohm resistance), which is what it was designed to be used with.
The variable voltage and variable wattage is simple and intuitive. Changing from one to the other is done by holding the Power button and either the “+” or “-“ button for a couple of seconds. Adjustments are made by holding the “+” or “-“ buttons. It’s quick and easy to operate. Using an iClear 16B at 1.8 ohms and vaping at 8 watts, I easily got 10+ hours of constant vaping with 4-5 hours of intermittent charging of my iPhone 6.
The Innokin iTaste MVP 20W is an amazing battery. Its performance is similar to that of the MVP 2.0, but with a maximum of 20W, it’s a better choice for someone who wants to use a Kanger AeroTank, or Mini AeroTank, or even a Nautilus Mini, with no fuss.

Conclusion
The MVP 20W is, in the end, exactly what Innokin meant for it to be. A simple, yet advanced (in terms of adjustability, safety, and reliability) Box Mod Battery capable of firing up to 20W. For under $40, this is one of the best battery devices on the market. It’s a workhorse that will last you for years, is easy to use, and will provide plenty of power for your single coil clearomizers.
For those that want a simple yet powerful APV that can handle a variety of clearomizers without changing coils, this is for you. The MVP 20W is a buy.
