ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod Preview
We’ve been watching ASVAPE for a while now… and with their new ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod, we’re beginning to think this company is all about style and unique design.
While the company has released a few box mods since their inception, the Strider is definitely the one to watch. Its unique look, Gandalf’s pipe style, the combination of Aluminum Alloy and Stabilized Wood (yes, real Stabilized Wood) give it a look all its own.
But don’t let the looks fool you. The ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod is a high-performance device, complete with the latest ASVAPE chip, capable of 75W of power, Temperature Control (Ni, Ti, SS), TCR, and a new ‘Custom Curve’ setting for precise power ramping.
The Strider is powered by a single 26650 battery, or an 18650 battery (adapter included).
ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod Details
The ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod is an incredibly unique device in a couple of ways. Its obvious unique quality is its design and looks, but its less obvious unique quality is its flexibility in power options.
The Looks
Without a doubt, the ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod is a beautiful device. Its Gandalf’s Pipe, or ‘Wizard’s Pipe’, design is a first for the vaping industry. We’ve seen other mods attempt to emulate various things, like the Vaperesso Tarot mod and its Tarot card design, but the Strider truly captures the look and feel of a wizard’s pipe.
The blend of the aluminum alloy frame and the stabilized wood makes the Strider look like an exotic mod. Stabilized wood is not inexpensive, and when a box mod uses the real thing it adds a significant amount to the price. Spinfuel VAPE would be shocked if the Strider retails for less than $100.00.
Power Options
The Strider is one of the few high-performance mods that use the 26650 battery. A single 26650 battery provides plenty of battery life and enough amperage for the 75W maximum output.
For those that prefer the 18650 battery, an adapter is included with the Strider.
Battery installation is simple and quick, and the spring-loaded 510-connection pin means every tank or RDA will sit flush.
The Chip
The ASVAPE Strider 75W TC Box Mod uses a proprietary chip designed specifically for the Strider. It features standard Kanthal vaping up to 75W, and Temperature Control for Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils.
While we won’t know the actual temperature range until our review, we do know that the chip features a TCR setting, a Bypass mode, and the new Custom Curve feature for power users that demand precise control of their vape.
The Custom Curve feature allows the user to set a power curve in milliseconds increments. This is an incredible feature for those that understand how to use it. ASVAPE is among the first to include this feature in their box mods. We’ve only seen it on the most advanced mods.
