WISMEC Reuleaux RX2 20700 Mod Preview

Few vape companies get more mileage out of a brand than WISMEC, who have just released the RX2 20700 mod, which updates its proven style and format to accommodate higher-power 20700 cells. Though I’m not sure it was WISMEC’s intention, the Reuleaux RX2 20700 feels like a spiritual successor to the outstanding, three-battery RX Gen3.

Employing WISMEC’s classic “hexagonal” shape, and a slender, compact design, the Reuleaux RX2 20700 seems awfully sleek for its proposed power output, advertised at 200 watts on a pair of, on just a pair of high-amp 20700 batteries.

If there’s any chipset capable of hitting these marks, it’s WISMEC’s, which has proven over countless Reuleaux iterations that it rarely misses its targets. And with a slightly more comfortable, curved design, the RX2 20700 looks to be a more ergonomic device, as well.

Included with all this raw power is a fully fleshed temperature control suite, TCR customization, several preheat adjustments and much more. And, as always, there are firmware upgrades available through WISMEC’s software.

One thing that remains happily unchanged is the fantastic 1.3-inch OLED display, which shows a tremendous amount of information, in a logical, attractive “hexagon” format that tells users everything they need at a glance, with an intuitive menu system behind the curtains. If you’re an experienced vaper, the RX2 20700’s menus and operations will feel comfortable and familiar, allowing you to get right to vaping.

(And yes, custom bitmap logos are still possible – get that pixelated Deadpool image ready!)

In a nice touch, WISMEC also includes a pair of 18650 battery adapter sleeves in the RX2 20700 box, for vapers who just want a compact, reliable mod, and not achieve wattages that resemble the average credit score.

WISMEC is certainly proposing a lot of power from the Reuleaux RX2 20700 mod. We’re here to see if it lives up to the hype, or struggles under the weight of tremendous ambition. As soon as we have a verdict, we’ll report back – expect a review soon!
