[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Who is this “Gene” guy, anyway? Well, whoever this mystery person might be, he certainly has the support of the people over at Voopoo. And he’s at it again, flaunting the GENE.POD chipset on the all-new Voopoo Drag Nano pod mod system.
Considering how mouth-to-lung vaping is making a bigger comeback than rap-metal, it’s no shock that Voopoo decided to put out its own version of the advanced pod mod system. And of course, they rightfully bestowed the “Drag” branding onto it as well, since that’s their flagship device. The end result? A pretty sharp looking advanced pod mod system that’s going to get the attention of anyone considering a Lost Vape Orion or SMOK Trinity Alpha, that’s for sure.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][spinfuel_scad ad=”ad1″ align=”right”][spinfuel_scad ad=”ad2″ align=”right”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”176198″ img_size=”750×481″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]But one difference the Drag Nano has going for it? Size. This isn’t just a “palm-friendly” vape mod – it’s a legitimately tiny system, measuring under 1.5 inches in height, and just 1.94 ounces on the scale. Even if you can’t do the math in your head, know that Voopoo packed in a chain/lanyard with the Drag Nano to make sure you don’t lose it easily. Yeah, it’s that small.
That said, Voopoo is being very clear that size does not match the performance of the Drag Nano, which they’re claiming to be strong, potent, all-day MTL vaping, thanks to a 1.8-ohm coil system and a 750mAh battery that should give steady users about 350 draws on a charge. And it’s supposedly a quick recharge, as well, getting back to speed in just under an hour.
This efficiency comes courtesy of the proprietary GENE.POD chipset, which is optimized for the Drag Nano’s target capabilities, and features the all-new Intelligent Cold Boot mode which is a really fancy way of saying the puff quality will remain consistent from first puff to last. On a standard mod/tank, this isn’t a big deal, but on a pod mod, this could be a game changer. These devices have never been great with power management, but the GENE chipset might be the secret sauce to make these mods more efficient.
Anyway, let’s see what Voopoo packed into the Drag Nano…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][spinfuel_scad ad=”ad3″ align=”left”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”176202″ img_size=”400×400″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Our Hopes for the Voopoo Drag Nano Pod Mod
It’s no secret we’re not huge pod mod fans, so our biggest hope is that the Drag Nano becomes the device that makes these devices more viable, and less disposable. By that, we mean that we hope companies start committing to them long term, perhaps making more compatible components so people don’t feel like they have to buy another device every month because a company decided to release and focus on a different product.
We also hope that the Voopoo Drag Nano vapes like the Lost Vape Orion series, which is still probably the best all-around pod mod system available. Its sturdiness and vape quality won all of us over when it launched, and some of us still use them today. From the looks of it, the Drag Nano has a fighting chance to be put into that category.
Potential Fears for the Voopoo Drag Nano
Honestly, our biggest concern throughout the office is that the ridiculously small size is just a gimmick that comes at the expense of enjoyment. While we understand that pod mod vapers typically want more discretion and the ability to store their devices easily, we’re not 100% sure a device under two inches tall is the answer.
For starters, it’s going to get lost unless you wear the silly lanyard all the time. And it’s probably going to get hot, because you’ll be taxing a fairly sizable battery in a very confined space.
If we feel the Drag Nano could have been something even better with a little more real estate and room to breathe? Well, that’s going to be a huge disappointment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Let’s not end on a negative here. If there’s any company that can justify its design decisions, it’s Voopoo, a company that has made some seriously stylish vape mods these past few years. Maybe the Drag Nano footprint is small, but if the company’s lineage is evident, pod mod vapers might have a new shopping decision to make when it hits the streets this summer. Stay tuned![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
