Introduction

After a considerable amount of time vaping with mods that require three, and four, 18650 hi-amp batteries, the 80W, single cell Zinc and Aluminum Vaporesso Attitude felt as light as a feather. With a weight of just 125g, and sized at only 3.2” tall, 1.84” wide and a depth of a mere .9”, the Vaporesso Attitude fits comfortably in the palm of most hands and can be picked up and put back down a couple of hundred times a day without a bit of strain, unlike the larger beasts I’ve been using. Because the recently reviewed WISMEC Reuleaux RX300 and iJoy MAXO 320W, both four 18650 cell mods, the Attitude was a pleasant change of pace. Like most Vaporesso products, the Attitude is a high quality, carefully designed, vaporizer that can produce an outstanding vape. Combine the Attitude with the new drop-in coil technology tank called the Estoc (a new ceramic coil tank from Vaporesso) and you have a vaping instrument that will appeal to both new, and advanced vapers at an affordable price.

About the Vaporesso Attitude Mod and Estoc Tank

The Vaporesso Attitude 80W TC box mod ($49.95 at Element Vape ) features an accurate Temperature Control Suite that utilizes the usual suspects of coil wires; Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel 316. The temperature range is also the usual 200F-600F. However, access to the various modes has never been easier; the Vaporesso Attitude features a dedicated mode button on the lower-side of the mod. On the opposite side is the USB port for charging and firmware upgrades.

My preference for coils has been ‘ceramic’ for quite some time, and in Variable Wattage mode (5W to 80W in 1W increments) the Attitude provides a superb vape with Vaporesso’s superior Ceramic Coils using Kanthal A1 coil heads. Equipped with Vaporesso’s new Omni Circuit board, there is virtually no lag time from the moment the fire button is pressed and thick flavorful vapor begins to push up and through the moderately wide drip tip (8mm) of the Estoc tank.

With its slim shape and sharp slope in the rear of the mod, the body provides a wonderfully comfortable grip. The tallest part of the body reveals a magnetized battery door for a single 18650 battery. (I recommend the Sony VTC6 cell) Both the Vaporesso Attitude and Nebula offer a new and a bit sexy design sensibility to the Vaporesso mod lineup.

In addition to the TC technology, the new Omni circuit provides a Smart mode, CCW mode, CCT mode, BYPASS mode, and manual TCR. The bright OLED display (0.91”) has a straightforward 2-line layout along the length of the screen so that all the information the user wants is right there, is a no-nonsense fashion.

The Vaporesso Attitude Sub-Ohm Tank, otherwise known as the Estoc tank uses the new hassle-free Eco Universal Coil (EUC) technology. The included top-fill, dual airflow slot Estoc tank is 22mm in diameter, making it ideal for the Attitude and a myriad of other mods currently on the market. As a standalone purchase, and in this Attitude starter kit the Estoc 22mm allows for two sizes; it’s preinstalled with the 2ml capacity tank with a ceramic coil, and can be extended to 4mL capacity with the included 4ml glass tube.

About ECO Universal Coil System

EUC technology is a new coil design that is the heart of the tank. Using a thin layer of metal to enclose just the wick and the wire; it avoids the use of a superfluous shell, giving the user an economic system. The Vaporesso EUC tech gives the user the benefit of choosing between the famous cCell Ceramic coil, and the more traditional Organic Cotton for wicking and, between a resistance of 0.5Ω for the ceramic coil and 0.4 for the cotton version. Using the Estoc tank the user will only need to replace the core, or the heart of the atomizer that encases the coil and the cCell wick or traditional organic cotton to save time and money.

To change out the coil all the user needs to do is to do unscrew the tank and take the coil it out. There is absolutely no threading on the coil head or the tank base. The user can simply drop the coil head into the top shaft, or place it in the tank base and just screw it back onto the rest of the tank.

Naturally, it wouldn’t matter how easy or economic this new EUC technology is if the flavor fidelity and vapor production wasn’t up to snuff. Fortunately, Vaporesso has yet to create a tank or coil head that did not perform excellently. Flavor fidelity is top-notch and the vapor production is so much more than I expected. Unlike the original cCell tank, the Estoc tank provides an easy draw with wide open airflow slots, helping create enormous clouds of vapor with an even, steady draw from the drip tip. I am convinced that the new EUC coil tech is not a gimmick, it works splendidly.

Highlights – Features/Modes

With six different ‘modes’, the Vaporesso Attitude has a resistance range of 0.05Ω to a whopping 5Ω. The voltage range is just as impressive; 0 to 8.5 volts.

Using the Vaporesso Attitude in the Smart VW mode it will automatically recommend the ideal wattage output. It’s CCW mode is the Customized Curve of Wattage, allowing the user to set up wattage output in the number of seconds used at that certain wattage. The user can also set the ramp up by 0.5 second increments.

In TC mode, the user has access to CCT, or Customized Curve of Temperature. This feature allows the user to set a custom temperature output over “X” amount of time.

Bypass mode takes the Attitude into what is basically its mech mod mode. Using the TCR feature gives the user the ability to further customize the vape performance, and there is also the Automatic Atomizer Recognition, a feature that prevents the user from using the wrong TC mode.

Bottom Line

The Vaporesso Attitude 80W TC Starter Kit is a quality, lightweight box mod and high-performance tank. Performance is exceptional, flavor fidelity using either coil head (ceramic or cotton wicking) is phenomenal, though I do prefer the ceramic coil, giving a splendid vape with the ceramic coil (.5Ω) at 58W and the cotton coil (.4Ω) at 51W.
