When our team last reviewed a set of eliquid flavors from The Finest Eliquid, the Fruit Edition, two out of three were found to be worthy of the Spinfuel VAPE Choice Award. This time around, we’re ready to award four out of five with the same Choice Award. Today we tackle the Signature Edition from The Finest Eliquid.

However, winning a Choice Award doesn’t automatically mean the eliquid will have mass appeal. Instead, a Choice Award recognizes a unique, high-quality, great tasting, eJuice that is a far and away so much more than an everyday, cranked out eliquids that Vapers can pick up a 100mL bottle for $9.99.

The Signature Edition Collection from The Finest Eliquid warrants the moniker of “Signature Edition” because each new flavor is a complex, authentic, and multi-layered flavor recipe that cannot be duplicated.

Naturally, the four-person team that has been reviewing Eliquid for 7+ years now in Spinfuel VAPE will have differences of opinion. It was no different here with the five flavors by the ‘The Finest Eliquid’.

While in the end all four eliquid reviewers scored four of the five eliquid blends with the maximum, they did so for different reasons.

Signature Edition REVIEW

From the Signature Edition Collection

The Gold Reserve is an instant classic, delivering the rich sweet aroma of milk & honey with a garnish of emulsified banana nuts and roasted almonds. Top all that off with a splash of cream, and you have a flavor “reserved” for the most experienced of vapors. – The Finest Eliquid

Julia – 5 Stars– Over the years the words “Gold Reserve” was usually meant a special tobacco blend. When the eliquids from The Finest Eliquid arrived, seeing a Gold Reserve told me to expect another tobacco flavor. That being the case, I left this one until last. A big mistake on my part.

Milk & Honey, banana nuts, roasted almonds and a splash of cream… about the furthest blend from tobacco as you can get. And so damned amazing it became an immediate member of my rotation of eliquids.

The best thing to say about Gold Reserve is that in a mesh sub-ohm tank, each individual flavor note hits the tastebuds ‘one after another’, allowing the Vaper the time to taste each flavor component, while creating huge clouds of vapor.

Had The Finest Eliquid asked me, however, I would have told them to give Gold Reserve a different name. I don’t think I’m the only one to think “tobacco” when hearing those words.

Tom – 5 Stars– For the last few years so many of our eliquid reviews covered a certain flavor spectrum; creams, fruits, caramels, bakery, and so on. The Signature Edition by The Finest Eliquid offers 5 totally original flavors, the likes of which I’ve not reviewed before.

Gold Reserve is a deeply flavored blend with dark-ish notes, particularly nuts and almonds, that at first, I pulled away after my initial hit from my tank. So much flavor to savor and think about. Then, within a couple of minutes I took another hit, and another, and so on.

I vaped my share of Gold Reserve with the Augvape Skynet Sub-Ohm with its Mesh Coil so that I could taste each flavor note and generate massive clouds of vapor. Using my VooPoo Drag 2, the mod set the wattage to 70W, which turned out to be the perfect setting.

Gold Reserve is not some cheap candy or other super sweet ejuice, this is a seriously deep and dark blend that you should love, unless you’re into the super sweet fruit or bakery flavors out there.

Jason – 5 Stars– I have to admit that Gold Reserve is not for me. Definitely high-class, sophisticated blend of flavors you don’t run into often, it’s a 5 Star blend for sure, but one that is a tad too serious for my tastebuds.

Keira – 5 Stars – Gold Reserve goes against my “type” of eliquid flavor that it took me a while to decide on what I would score it. I enjoy lively flavors, bright, sweet, and fun. Gold Reserve is not a fun flavor at all, but I can see the appeal to those that enjoy these deeper layered type blends..

I compare the Signature Edition flavors as I would regular cigarettes to $200 cigars. Each of the Signature Edition flavors aren’t expensive ($29.99 for 120mL), but it vapes like nothing I’ve tried before. I won’t add it to my rotation because my collection of ejuice, but if you’re like Julia and Tom, this ultra-rich layered blend just might be something very special.

Special Edition The Finest EditionThe Russian Cream isn’t just your ordinary VCT – this flavor takes the traditional Vanilla, Custard, and Tobacco mix to new heights. Specially formulated with daily vapability in mind, Russian cream offers a velvety layer of vanilla enriched with a delicate balance of tobacco culminating in a rich VCT that delivers a smooth and well-rounded all-day vaping experience. – The Finest Eliquid

Julia – 5 Stars– Probably the best vanilla/tobacco blend I’ve ever had. That said, my initial pull of Russian Cream I detected a very slight tobacco flavor, but that disappeared in minutes. The rest of the time I spent vaping Russian Cream I began tasting a strange mix that reminded me of a White Russian.

Don’t buy Russian Cream if you’re looking for your next tobacco flavor, instead, buy it for its unmistakable blend of a White Russian, which I know is sort of weird, but it is what I experienced.

Tom – 5 Stars– We had some discussion between the team that had both Julia and Kiera pushing toward a rich White Russian, akin to Johnson Creek (RIP) White Russian eliquid, But Jason and myself were true believers in Russian Cream being a fantastic tobacco flavor with a creamy, silky layer of pure vanilla. It’s strange how two people tasted one thing and two others tasted something very different.

I used to vape nothing but tobacco blends in the early years, so when I say that Russian Cream, is a vanilla tobacco blend with extraordinary tobacco notes and velvety vanilla, you can trust that it is.

If you’re looking for a special tobacco blend, this is it.

Jason – 5 Stars– Yes, Russian Cream is an amazing blend of rich tobacco and silky vanilla. Sounds simple enough, but when vaping with a full spectrum mesh coil, every nuance of flavor is revealed, making White Russian so much more than a simple tobacco blend with a spritz of vanilla.

Keira – 5 Stars– John’s wife, back in 2014/2015 used to vape nothing but Johnson Creek White Russian. I know that we had a wholesale account back then with JC, and I would see this eliquid arrive at the office by the case.

I vaped White Russian from JC for a while, not nearly as much as Lisa, but enough to understand the appeal. So, filling my sub-ohm with The Finest Eliquid’s Signature Edition Russian Cream I half expected it to taste the same as the blend from Johnson Creek… and, I almost do.

Russian Cream has a spark of tobacco flavor in each pull of the drip tip, but it disappears quickly. What’s left is a creamy vanilla exhale that relaxes the mind, while flooding the tastebuds with luscious flavors.

The Finest Eliquid Special Edition ReviewReady for dessert with a twist? Tiramisu Custard takes the archetypal Italian dessert cake and infuses hints of espresso, layered with a whipped mixture of vanilla bean, golden graham crackers, and a custard filling on the back note. – The Finest Eliquid

Julia – 5 Stars – You know that powered coffee dust that is sprinkled on top a really good Tiramisu Custard? Somehow The Finest Eliquid delivers that coffee dust in every pull of this fantastic blend. This is the Tiramisu dessert in vapor form.

If you like Tiramisu, you’ll love this blend. If you don’t, chances are you won’t like it.

Tom – 5 Stars – Tiramisu Custard is a truly special blend in this Signature Edition. There is no mistaking the wonderful flavors of a Tiramisu dessert, even the tiny flavor notes you would normally find “only” in the dessert.

The best high-end dessert vape I’ve ever tasted.

Jason – 5 Stars – Like Gold Reserve, Tiramisu Custard just isn’t not my type of eliquid. The powdered coffee is the first flavor I taste, followed by a very different kind of vanilla. With a good mesh coil and a large inhale, accompanied by a slow exhale, I can catch that small graham cracker flavor note, which does add a nice touch, but in the end, this is a fancy dessert vape, and I’d rather vape Birthday Cake by Kilo.

Regardless, as a special blend, this is definitely a 5 Star blend.

Keira – 5 Stars – This one is the easiest to talk about. Tiramisu Custard is, and always will be, the most genuine Tiramisu Eliquid I’ve ever had. I happen to love Tiramisu and order it as dessert whenever Julia and I have dinner as a nice Italian place, so I can say with certainty that this vape is the closest you’ll ever come to tasting Tiramisu in vapor form. In my daily rotation now.

Special Edition The Finest Eliquid ReviewSometimes simplicity is best. Cool Mint is an unassuming, no frills kind of flavor that is precisely what it sounds like – a cool, breezy vape that’s smooth on the exhale leaving you with a fresh spearmint taste. – The Finest Eliquid

Julia – 4.75 Stars– A quality blend of cool spearmint that delivers plenty of flavor and loads of clouds in a proper sub-ohm. Spearmint fans will like it.

Tom – 4 Stars– I’m not sure why this rather simple spearmint blend wound up in the Signature Edition, but it did. I like it for what it is, a cool spearmint vape. But there is nothing that special about it.

Jason – 4.5 Stars– I’ve been vaping for 8 years and in all that time I know what I like, and I know what I don’t. I can still be surprised, sure, but with Cool Mint I am anything but surprised. If I had ANY cool blends in my collection, I might think about adding Cool Mint to it, but I don’t vape cool, icy, or menthol blends.

I liked it, but it just didn’t get me interested.

Keira – 5 Stars– For a spearmint flavored eliquid, Cool Mint fills the bill nicely. I don’t often vape cool blends, but when I do, this would be my choice. Smooth, breezy, full of spearmint flavor, Cool Mint is clever, simple, and satisfying.

Special Edition The Finest Eliquid ReviewEnter the lychee dragon! A distinctive flavor profile that truly packs a punch. Fresh dragonfruit with a hint of luscious lychee on the inhale and a smooth strawberry medley on the exhale. – The Finest Eliquid

Julia – 5 Stars– As soon as I saw the word Lychee I believed I would dislike Lychee Dragon so much that it would score no higher than a 3 Star blend. But, Lychee flavoring has improved dramatically since my first disappointing venture back in 2014.

Dragonfruit and Lychee in 2019 would, by themselves, have been enough to finally enjoy these flavors like others do. The genius move though was adding a delicious strawberry exhale on the tail end. Together, the 3 flavors add up to something that can’t exactly be described, but it can be enjoyed. Bravo!

Tom – 5 Stars– The score I’m giving this blend comes from the way The Finest Eliquid combines them. Lychee is an acquired taste, one I have not mastered, and dragonfruit is one awful flavor by itself. But something happens when the 3 flavors, the added strawberry, come together to form a fusion of something brand new, slightly sweet, and very satisfying.

Jason – 5 Stars– I have no experience with either dragonfruit or lychee flavorings. When it came to fill my Augvape Skynet I had no idea what to expect.

To the best of my abilities; Lychee Dragon is a sweet, creamy base with a punch of a strange fruit, then finishes with a familiar strawberry flourish.

Keira – 5 Stars– I used fill disappointed with the Lychee flavors we’ve reviewed in the past. Not that I couldn’t enjoy them during the review, but I never went back to a lychee eliquid once the review was over.

Don’t get me started on dragonfruit. I never understood why this flavoring was ever added to VG/PG and vaped. It’s just too weird a flavor for me.

However, somehow, some way, the mixture of lychee, dragonfruit, and strawberry combines to make up an original flavor that is actually an excellent vape.

I understand that flavorings improve over time, so maybe lychee and/or dragonfruit have gotten better, smoother, more natural, I don’t know. Or maybe it IS the addition of strawberry. All I can really say is that of the 5 flavors reviewed here, Tiramisu Custard is my favorite, followed by this unique Lychee Dragon. Strange Days…
