Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team is New!

If there is one thing that is certain in life it is change. Nothing lasts forever, not even the Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team. Well, the Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team remains a strong part of our publication, but starting today the team has all new members.

For the past 3 years the original review team has spent thousands of hours devoting their time and efforts to bring you the best, most comprehensive ejuice reviews in the vape community. Their honest, straight-forward, and very comprehensive reviews helped make Spinfuel eMagazine the most widely read online vaping publication in the world. They accomplished so much in those 3 years, including the introduction of the highly sought after Spinfuel Choice Award for excellence in eLiquid. We will miss their insights, their honesty, and most of all their respected recommendations and guidance when we seek new brands and new flavors.

So, what do the people of ancient times say when a King or Queen died? “The King (or Queen) Is Dead, Long Live The King (or Queen)”, which meant that as one king (or queen) moved on to the afterlife, another king (or queen) stepped in to carry on the role without a moment in between…and so it is with our team. Julia, Tom, Jason, and Keira have stepped down, but Dori, Kris, Scott, Adam, and Alicia, have come in with the full blessing of the old team, to fill their roles and to make it the Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team their own.

Julia Hartley-Barnes and Tom McBride are still important staff members of Spinfuel and Spinfuel.tv, but Jason and Keira have moved on to other projects outside of the world of Spinfuel.

The Final Words Of The Original Team Members

Julia – “I have enjoyed every minute as a member of the Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team, and I shall miss it greatly. But I knew it was time to move on. I also know that the new team, led by Dori, will do a fantastic job in carrying forth the same pride and excellence that makes a Spinfuel eLiquid Review sought after by so many. As for me personally, I head back to my hometown, Boston, where my photography studio needs my attention. Keira and I have many projects lined up there. I’ll still contribute to Spinfuel with my column, and I will always hold the vape community close to my heart in the months and years ahead.

Tom – “We put together a great team, and we’ve enjoyed years of camaraderie and respect for each other, Spinfuel, and the vape community. I will miss the team immensely, but I look ahead with excitement as I delve into vape gear reviews more than ever.”

Keira – “My role for Spinfuel was to be a member of the eliquid review team, and I loved every minute spent with the team exploring many dozens of ejuice brands. While I will continue to vape, and remain a devoted follower of Spinfuel and the vape community at large, I now turn my attention to Julia and I’s studio in Boston. I wish nothing but the best for the new team and its talented leader, Dori Odosso. And I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the community for making our reviews a part of their vape lives.

Jason – “Whenever I was called upon to join the team in another eliquid review it was a joyous time. I loved my team members, and I loved being a part of Spinfuel. Now I will be on the other side, as a fan, as a vaper, as a proud member of the great vape community. It has been a blast, and it will be missed. I do look forward to the recommendations of the new team, I know they will never lead us astray.”

The New Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team

So who are the members of the new Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team? Well, for one thing they are passionate vapers. They love sharing what they know, and they love turning people on to new eliquids and old favorites. We spent a lot of time making sure the new team could communicate their thoughts to our readers, and that they knew much about the art of eliquid excellence. The new team, Dori, Alicia, Kris, Scott, and Adam are the right people for the job.

I asked Dori to collect from each of the new members an informal introduction, just a paragraph or two so that you can see the passion and anticipation they will bring to the job. These fine people are all eliquid connoisseurs and great communicators.

Dori, Team Leader – “Hi! I’m Dori, the team leader and head writer for the reviews. I started vaping about a year ago and had a hard time finding a super good ejuice right off the bat. I became obsessed with finding the right flavor, and with lack of shops in my area, it was hard to do ordering online. This helped my decision to become an ejuice reviewer in June of 2014. With my Culinary background, I decided to take a “seeing is tasting” approach so people could see how I taste things.

While taste is subjective, many of my friends were getting the same flavor I did out of the ejuice I reviewed. Finding that first flavor and favorite flavors are SO important!! I got into helping friends start their journeys into becoming cigarette free as well. Not only is ejuice and reviewing a big passion of mine, but so is helping others.

I’ve met so many wonderful people through the vaping community. Vaping has changed my life and my health for the better in so many ways. My team is assembled of 4 friends whose palates I trust. We have all tasted ejuice at various times throughout the last few months together. I’m looking forward to this new endeavor at Spinfuel, working with a great team, and tasting some new and unique ejuices from around the world.

I just wanted you all to also know that my passion stems pretty deep within the vaping community. Almost three months ago, I gave up a really good career to go into a partnership and open a vape shop in a nearby community. I was so passionate about helping others that I decided to take a risk and provide what I consider a VERY important service to all of the smaller communities around me.

Some people need to see and taste everything before they buy. I can understand that!! I’ve experienced everything from that first pen to what I use now, smaller regulated and unregulated box mods. I also like my Manhattan. I can advise about any ejuice I carry and I know every flavor by heart. I work with people. I’m about the people.

My shop is called Sweet Home Vapor Co PA. We are located at 204 Market St in Kittanning, PA. So, if you are ever in the area, stop by and say HI or shoot a game of pool with me. I have a lounge area and juice tasting bar. This is a place to relax and talk vape. I’m proud I’ve taken the risk so far. Every day a customer comes in and thanks me puts a big smile on my face!!”

Alicia – “A little about me, hmm, where to begin. Well, my name is Alicia. I’m 32 years old. I started vaping in January of 2014. I, like many others, decided to give vaping a try to help me kick the stinkies. I went into it a bit skeptical, as I had already tried every other option I could possibly think of and of course those options had all failed.

I started with the normal gas station ego and ce4 clearomizer. I’m pretty sure I went through about 20 of them! It took me a couple of weeks to convert strictly to vaping. I had decided to try to wean myself off of the stinkies. My plan was to swap out smoking in my car & in my home for vaping. Socially I would still smoke, that was my weakness. After 3 weeks I started to realize I still had the same pack of cigarettes and that I was vaping more instead of smoking. At that time, I threw out my pack and never looked back!

A month later, the end of February, I was shoveling snow and I was as happy as a kid on Christmas. I realized that I shoveled our entire walkway from our house to driveway (which is incredibly long by the way) and I still had energy and wasn’t out of breath! That made me love vaping even more! Slowly I started to upgrade my gear and I also discovered e-juice could get even better than what I was already vaping.  As of now, my 2 favorite set ups include my Hexohm V2 with a Tugboat V2 on top and my IPV2 paired with Atlantis. I have 2 ADV’s and many different flavors in my rotation that range from menthol to dessert to creamy fruit and even one flavored tobacco. I’m excited to be a part of our team and can’t wait to see what is in store for us!

Kris – “My name is Kris K. About 10 months ago, a friend introduced me to vaping.  I never looked back. I started with an ego and 24 mg of nicotine; within months I dropped nic levels and started dripping. Vaping has been life changing for me and I love getting people off of analogs. I enjoy custard, desert and fruit vapes. Reviews are very subjective and I look forward to doing reviews as a part of the great Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team.”

Scott – “Hello, I’m Scott. I’ve only been vaping for 6 months, but it’s been an awesome experience. I have learned a lot in a short period of time. My favorite set up is the IPV3 and Freakshow RDA. I tend to like fruity vapes and drink flavors, but I also enjoy a wide variety of other flavors. I look forward to being part of the Spinfuel team.”

Adam – “Hi my name is Adam. I am 28 years old and I started vaping about 7 months ago and loved it. Back at the end of July, I stopped smoking cigarettes and never looked back. It’s an amazing experience. I can breath better and the taste buds seem to work better. I started of with e-pen starter kit and worked my way to an MVP 2 and a protank 2. Now, I am running a sigelei 150w with a holy Grail RDA and a Doge RDA– which are two of my favorites.”

Upcoming Reviews And News Methods

The New Spinfuel eLiquid Review Team is different than the old team in several ways. One way in which they are different is that the new team will spend their time vaping eliquids with dripping atomizers, RDA’s. There will be times when glassomizers and new tanks will be used, but for the majority of the reviews they will approach them with the ever growing in popularity of RDA’s. This means that the new team will vape eliquids with less nicotine, mostly 3mg.

However, the original team still had several brands on the schedule, all submitted with 18mg nicotine. The new team has agreed to review these brands using the more mainstream vaping methods used by the Julia’s team. Once these remaining eliquids are reviewed you will see the new reviews performed with the newer methods.

We know you will embrace the new team of Dori, Alicia, Scott, Adam, and Kris, as much you did Julia’s team. And you can expect more reviews, more consistently than ever before.

This is a bold move, but the right one…for Spinfuel, for the old team, for the new team, and for you, our readers. There are many changes coming to Spinfuel in 2015, and I just know these changes will bring about more success than ever.

Make way for the new… and know that we will reach new heights…together!
