When Light’s Out Means Light’s Out – An Authentic 2022 Delta THCjd Line

For some reason, the new Light’s Out collection from DeltaExtrax intrigued me so much I wanted to buy one from each category. I purchased another jar of the 2500mg/Jar of Root Beer Float Gummies. These sweet and delicious root bear flavor soft gummies contain THC-H with THC-JD and Live Resin to boot.

These Light’s Out gummies feature a ‘proprietary blend’ of cannabinoids that includes Delta 9 THC, THCh, THCjd, THCP, and Live Resin Delta 8 THC. When combined the way DeltaExtrax does, you’ll get a nice even buzz and if you suffer from any kind of pain, you won’t feel 90% of that pain while using these magnificent gummies.

The Disposable Mod from Light’s Out Collection in Strawberry

I’ll be honest, the worst part of the vape industry, from nicotine based to THC and CBD, are these small, disposable pod mods. They provide very little vapor, the batter never lasts, and the flavor is often buried under an overpowered wattage setting. I hated these pod mods since some Chinese businessman invented them and made billions of dollars.

Having said that, the disposable mod is such a handy idea that if one could be created that worked as advertised, well then, I’m a fan. I’m not going to sit here and write that DeltaExtrax solved all the problems of the disposable pod mod.

They haven’t. But they are certainly made vast improvements.

Extrax have improved their disposables a lot. They have a much stronger formulation in the Light’s Out Collection, including the very potent ‘Live Resin’ component, and loaded up with 2-grams of my (and yours?) favorite cannabinoid blends.

Strawberry Kush Disposable

This time out I bought the Strawberry Kush Disposable. Which is a 2-gram disposable device with the aforementioned ‘Live Resin’ and their proprietary blend of THCh, THCjd, THCP, Delta 8 THC, and Delta 10 THC. Pretty much the same ingredients of their very nice cartridges.

This disposable is prominently and ‘Indica’ strain with a musky strawberry taste that is both rich and sweet flavor of strawberries. I’m not exaggerating about the flavor, this is one of the first disposable mods that actually deliver a good amount of flavor.

Still not has strong as the flavor of a cartridge (probably because I have more control over the wattage, and can adjust it for more vapor or more flavor.)

What I love about Indica blends is they fit my personality. I’m an old guy, and when I was young my mid was constantly racing. I suffered a ton of trauma in my childhood, and even as a young adult, so a racing mind, a heartbeat that averaged 110 for the first 30 years, and a terminal case of insomnia, the Indica blend seemed like it was made just for me. 

A Love Affair with Indica

Indica blends offer a sedating property. It slows everything down. I feel calm, collected, capable of sitting back and keeping my mind blank (and impossibility when I’m awake), and carrying on a conversation without the urge to overtalk someone.

When I visit my cannabis dispensary I always buy Indica blends, so naturally, with these Delta THC products being legal, the Indica blends have the same characteristics. 

With the Light’s Out disposable, you can expect slight sedating feeling, felt in both the body and the mind. This blend, as in the cartridge, is perfect for arthritis sufferers, chronic pain sufferers, and even those with anxiety and hypertension. Because of these effects on body and mind, I urge you not to drive, play sports, or much or anything other than chilling out and watching a few episodes of The Orville on Hulu or Disney+. 

Lastly, the aroma from this strain is complex. It has a slight scent of citrus, strawberries, and an earthy pine (my least favorite part). 

Still, these disposables are the best-tasting as well as the strongest disposables I have seen in the Delta THC world. 

Now, About these THC+ Components

I am putting this FAQ below in order to answer some questions you will surely have about those extra letters after “THC”…

Light’s Out – What is THCh?

The ‘THCh’ cannabinoid stands for Tetrahydrocannabihexol and is said to be 10 times more potent than THC. It is a natural, but rare occurring cannabinoid found in the Hemp plant. 

However, one important thing to note is that your body might not have a tolerance to THCh; therefore, it might present itself to you as a brand new type of high. My brother found this to be very true. The potency was so strong, and he over did it so much, an entire day was lost to him because there was no way he was going to believe a legal product could get him high. It did. 

This cannabinoid is potent and has a unique support effect when combined with other cannabinoids. You want to start off slow when taking anything with THCh in it.

Light’s Out – What is THCjd?

THCjD is another rare but natural occurring cannabinoid is Tetrahydrocannabioctyl (THCjd). The 3 “major” cannabinoids are CBD, CBG, and THC which have 5-carbon sidechains. 

However, THCjd has 8-carbon sidechains which makes it up to 19 times more potent than THC. Also, THCjd is a “minor” cannabinoid just like THCh. More of these “minor” cannabinoids are beginning to emerge with longer carbon sidechains that creates more potent products.

Light’s Out – What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta-8 THC is a different kind of CBD and is derived from hemp and CBD. It is a psychoactive cannabinoid that offers several benefits. The unique cannabinoid is different, chemically, from its close relative, Delta-9 THC. It only differs from a few atomic bonds. It’s not as potent as Delta 9.

However, it occurs in small concentrations and is Hemp derived making it Hemp compliant because it contains less than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC as required under the 2018 Farm Bill.

Light’s Out – What is Delta 10 THC?

Delta 10 THC is a cannabinoid extract from the Hemp plant. It’s very similar to Delta 8 THC in the way that it is made. However, the differences between Delta-8 and Delta-10 are the chemistry behind the molecular structure of the compounds. 

The term “Delta” indicates the double bond in a compound’s chemical structure. In the case of Delta-8 and Delta-10, the number that follows tells you where the double bond is located. Got that? Neither did I.

Light’s Out – What is THCP?

THCP first begins as a substance initially formed as cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), known as the “mother cannabinoid” from which all cannabinoids are derived from. Weird, right?

TCHPA (Tetrahydrocannabiphorol Acid) becomes THCP and on its own. It is 33 times stronger than regular THC, which means its effects on the body are amplified. 33 times stronger! Imagine.

Light’s Out – What is Live Resin?

Live Resin, (which sounds like a probiotic doesn’t it) is the process of extracting cannabinoids from frozen Hemp plants. This results in more potent cannabinoids that include a better flavor and is a lot closer to original extract. Delta Extrax Lights Out Collection includes this extraction process in the cannabinoids that they use.

Bottom Line for Light’s Out Collection

These three new product lines, the Light’s Out Collection, offers medical benefits for those that live in states where cannabis is not available. It’s about the same price as cannabis purchased in a dispensary, but without the hassle. And, because of the unique formula’s, these products are as strong, and in some cases, stronger and more potent than the simple cannabis products.

Once again, I would urge you to take it slow when starting off on any Delta THC product. Your first impression will undoubtedly be one of “this is not going to get me high”, so you’ll want to take a couple of Gummies when you should try half of one. An hour later you may not even be able to do simple tasks after eating two whole gummies, so please don’t try.

Simplicity and Potency

Although I enjoy the simplicity, and the potency of the Disposable mod, my strong preference is the DeltaExtrax THC cartridges. I think most of you will think the same thing. That said, I keep a jar of gummies around when I don’t have the time, or the will, to sit and vape for a few minutes. I’ll grab a gummier from the jar, pop in my mouth, and carry on.
