The Dovpo Odin series is fairly synonymous with DNA chipsets. So, when the all-new Odin 100W box mod hit the streets with a separate proprietary board, we were a little confused. That is, until we used it and loved it.
Maybe there’s no hyper-precise temp control here, but the DOVPO Odin 100 delivers more than enough customization for all types of vapers. Read on to see if it’s for you.
The Official Word from DovPo

Aesthetics of the Dovpo Odin 100
Dovpo devices are typically a little “higher-end” when it comes to aesthetics. So I was a little surprised by the no-nonsense exterior of the Odin. It’s a perfectly fine alloy design, with no extras or frills. If you’re a fan of simple, unadorned designs, the Odin might fit the bill.
The button scheme and display interface is interesting, since it closely replicates the usual three-button DNA experience. Maybe a little too closely. If you’re looking for some type of new development or progress from the chipset, you’re going to be let down.
Sure, the TFT screen is sharp and legible, and the chip is precise. But with so many companies closing the gap these past few years, we’re calling for Dovpo to “up their game” a little as we enter the new year. There HAS to be a better, new way to display vape information, right?
Other than that, Dovpo finished the Odin well, with perfect build quality, connections and tactile feel. It feels good in the hand, and is laser-responsive in use. I suppose that’s what really matters.
Vaping the Dovpo Odin 100
Despite the aesthetic flatness, the standard menu system hasn’t been changed a bit, and we’re thankful for that. It might not be the most intuitive menu operation, but it remains logical and user-friendly, even with a three-button control scheme.
Despite not having its usual DNA the Odin hits hard with precise wattage and temp control operation, temp protection, support for all major coil types, and battery life optimization. Obviously, a Dovpo mod is going to deliver straightforward performance, so there’s no surprise there. But I was nonetheless impressed by how powerful the Odin was, even with a relatively low wattage threshold.
Using a Sub-Ohm
Using a 25mm tank, registering around 0.18 ohms, I was floored by how much power came flowing through the atomizer, producing a warm, rich vape. At just 60 watts – which is not a small amount of power by any means – I felt I enjoyed the same vape quality some other mods offer at more-intense wattages.
The built-in protection suite was beyond solid. I maintain a collection of coils that I use specifically for testing protection warnings, and just as advertised, the Odin throws a warning at and below 0.1 ohms. These protection features are fairly common these days, but I’ve seen more than one completely fail. The Odin offers no such concerns.
Excellent Battery Life
Perhaps most impressive about the Odin’s operation is the top-notch battery life. Using a fresh 21700 cell, the device gave me an extremely impressive 5 hours of assertive use – usually at or near the mod’s max of 100 watts. At no point did the Odin waver, even at the upper echelon of its capabilities.
No matter which tank or RDA I used, the Odin vaped unbelievably well. And it did it with simple style. With just one or two exceptions, all of my tanks and drippers looked to be natural extensions of the device.
- The DNA-like chipset is rock solid
- The simple design is ergonomic and comfortable
- Excellent battery life for a single-cell mod
- The design is boring by Dovpo’s usual standards
- Why emulate an aging DNA chip?
- The lack of temp control might bother fans
The Dove Odin 100W Bottom Line
If you know Dovpo, you know they’ve ascended to unbelievable heights these past few years. With the Odin 100, you’ll be rewarded with unbelievable precision, strong battery life, and a top-tier mid-wattage vape. The Odin is an excellent mod, DNA or not. And those seeking a compact but powerful device should take a long look at this one before making a purchase decision.
