Delta Extrax HydroBubbler Kit

If you would have told me just a few years ago I would be reviewing a “bubbler” device, capable of using cartridges containing legal marijuana, CBD, and Delta THC I would have thought you’d gone mad.

Well, wait… I forgot to include that while you can legally use these products, and this out-of-this-world-bubbler hardware, at the same time you could be fined, jailed, or have your livelihood destroyed for stocking and selling blueberry flavored e-liquid for a simple battery-operated mod with tank… then you can obviously see where I would have been convinced that you’d gone utterly mad. Because that is the benevolent fascism we live with today.

Now, it’s nice and all that for people with chronic pain and other ailments that THC products are being made legal, it’s just the corrupt and deluded way we got here.

But what’s done is done, and for those of you that are big believers in THC and CBD products, today’s hardware device, including the magnificent steel and glass cartridges, the Extrax Hydro Bubbler is an elegant, affordable, and powerful device, and a fun product to review.

Savage and Extrax – The Hydro Bubbler and 510-Cartridges

The Award-winning e-liquid and cannabinoid-infused products (the Delta line) manufacturer, Savage Enterprises announced the availability of Delta Extrax Hydro Bubbler. This Hydro Bubbler is a new device specifically designed to improve a user’s experience when vaping cannabinoid-infused cartridges. Quality Hardware Features of the Hydro Bubbler

Delta Extrax’s Hydro Bubbler device features a sound glass bubbler vaping design.  It is compatible with the ‘industry-standard’ 510-threaded cartridges and allows users to drastically improve their experience with cannabinoid-infused cartridges, not to mention simple cartomizers with standard e-liquid.

If you visit a dispensary in your state, or other stores where recreational marijuana is legal, you can pop in and pick up a variety of Indica or Sativa 510-threaded glass cartridges that easily screw in and are ready to go.

 The Hydro Bubbler features battery power capacity of 650mah, which will last quite a long time considering the contents of the cartridges. It offers 4 voltage settings, up to 4.0V and are indicated by colored lights.

Inside the chamber the Hydro Bubbler will fit up to a 15mm diameter cartridge, and is made up of zinc alloy, PCTG, ABS, and glass. This is the Electronic Bubbler that will last years, not weeks.

The Hydro Bubbler is currently available for purchase at a MSRP of $57.99, which means a street price of about $50USD. And honestly, when I saw, and used the Hydro Bubbler I just knew it had to be somewhat expensive. $50 was a LOT less than I anticipated. The Bubbler feels like “quality”.

More on My Personal Experience

I’ve learned over the years that the best thing you can possibly do when confronted with something you’re not familiar with is to slowly read the instructions while physically handling the product. At some point it will click. Everything makes sense and ‘presto’, it comes together and off you go. That’s what happened to me with the Hydro Bubbler, my first ever experience with any kind of bubbler. (I so did love that ‘bubbly’ sound it makes when taking a hit)

Some Techie Stuff

Its size is 57 x 126 x 24 mm, the battery has a capacity of 650mAh, it is suitable for 510 cartridges and fits up to 15 mm diameter cartridge. (Support cartridge resistance ≥ 1.0ohm).

It comes with four voltage settings with LED light indicators and different voltages.

Temperature Range

It has four voltage settings that vary the temperature of the device, depending on the color of the LED light indicates the voltage, the higher the voltage, the higher the temperature, thus:

  • Blue: 3.2V
  • Purple: 3.6V
  • Red: 4.0V
  • Cycle lights color: 2.2V

Device temperature varies between 2.2V – 4.0V.

How To Use the Hydro Bubbler

Using the Hydro Bubbler is quite simple, just slowly follow the steps below:

  • Remove transparent housing and glass bubbler.
  • Put water into glass bubbler. Do not exceed 2 cm.
  • Screw on the cartridge until snug. Do not over-tighten, be careful!
  • Replace transparent housing and glass bubbler.
  • Rapidly press the power button 5 times to turn it on or off.
  • To change the voltage, turn on the battery and press the power button 3 times. Remember that battery LED indicates voltage.

To clean the nozzle, moisten a cotton swab in alcohol and gently wipe the nozzle. Be sure to clean any residue from the part that connects to the battery and that any residue is completely removed from the mouthpiece and the outside of the cartridge.

Make sure everything is completely dry.

For thorough cleaning, it is suggested to remove the removable parts and soak them in soapy water or alcohol, make sure it is not the cartridge or battery connector, but the glass parts, rinse them with clean water and dry them well.

The Actual Cartridges I Used

Back in August 2020, Savage has come out with Delta-8 THC cartridges and a D8 Pod System as well through their sister-company Delta Extrax, also owned by Savage Enterprises. Delta-8 THC is a unique product because although it is derived from hemp, so it currently federally legal, it does create a significant psycho-active high.

The high is like that of Delta-9 THC found in marijuana, without so much anxiety and paranoia that some people experience. This is a great alternative for THC users but will be undergoing many legal challenges on both sides in the coming year. (It’s the US Feds, after all. It’s what they live for)

The Delta-8 THC cartridges are liquid cartridges compatible with any standard 510 vape cartridge devices. The devices available include Grand Daddy Purp which is Indica dominant, Strawberry Cough is Sativa dominant and Cali Orange Kush which is a hybrid.

HOW TO USE CARTRIDGES (not just for the Hydro Bubbler)

When it comes to using either one of these cartridges, the best device to use is one that has a pen-style battery with built-in airflow.  There are many devices on the market as that can be used if they can take a 510-threaded cartridge, such as the  Yocan UNI Pro Box Mod or Ooze Pen. After removing the cartridge from the packaging, just screw it into the device.  Always be sure to adjust the airflow to your desired amount (if your device has adjustable airflow).  You are ready to begin vaping!

DOSING

Determining your optimal CBD dose is something that can depend on the individual.  It is based on your body weight, your individual body chemistry (which includes what some people might call tolerance), as well as what you affect you are trying to achieve.  Typically, simple relaxation and wellbeing as part of a daily routine requires a bit less than using it to combat significant anxiety or chronic pain.

We recommend taking a few hits from the Savage cartridge and waiting a few minutes to see how you feel from it.  If you feel like you need more then go ahead and take more hits throughout the day.  We recommend using the cartridge a few times per day or as needed.  Remember that the entire cartridge contains 500mg of CBD, which would last the typical user anywhere from 1-2 weeks.  Scientific studies indicate that taking even 1500mg of CBD per day is not harmful. With the Delta-8 THC cartridges, there is 87-92% Delta-8 THC in the one-gram cartridge. It is best to start with 1 to 2 hits of the Delta-8 THC cartridge to see how the effects feel.

CBD can have some side effects in rare cases, such as fatigue, nausea, weight-loss, or weight-gain.  If you are taking medication, it’s always good to check with your physician before beginning a CBD regimen. In addition, it’s always important to check with your doctor if you are taking medication before any Delta-8 THC use.

 SUMMARY
