Blackstone Premium Eliquid-A Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review

I was very excited to get into round #2 of the Blackstone reviews. The previous team and I had enjoyed the first round and I was excited to see how this round of five flavors would fare with this slightly different team!

As you may recall, Blackstone is the second and “Premium” line of eliquid made from Dream E Vapor. These flavors we will be reviewing are all on the sweeter side adding a bit of crème, caramel, or glaze to the mixes. Blackstone’s complexity always surprises us and we always have a bit of mixed reviews on a flavor or two, but this time one flavor surprised us all. I’m not sure any of us have a drop left. The quality of some of the flavorings used is truly top notch! Keep on reading to see which flavors you should be checking out….

FLAVORS

Zen: Exotic Tea * Honey * Creme

Buccaneer: Cured Tobacco * Tahitian Vanilla * Caramel

Dreamer: Apple Pie * Ice Cream * Caramel

Blue Seas: Blueberry * Pomegranate * Cream

Devils Fruit: Watermelon * Glaze * Sugar Cane

Spinfuel Protocols

Because this is only the fifth review from the NEW Spinfuel eLiquid Team Review, we suggest that you take a look at the new protocols we’ve set up for each of the reviews we will do moving forward. You’ll need to know how long we vape the ejuice, in what manner, what we look for, and how an eliquid may earn a coveted Spinfuel Choice Award. In addition, in order to understand the scores and our comments about each one, knowing the intricacies of our methods will give you a greater understanding of the process. Click here:

Blackstone Premium Eliquid Particulars

The bottle sizes that are available are 30ml and retail for $18.99 which is pretty reasonable at $.63/ml for a complex Premium Eliquid. The nicotine levels available for the dripping blends(Blue Seas and Devils Fruit) are 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, and 12mg. All of those nicotine levels are available for Zen, Dreamer, and Buccaneer with the addition of 18mg as well. The blend is mixed at 60vg/40pg for the Zen, Dreamer, and Buccaneer which are great for tanks or drippers. Blue Seas and Devils Fruit are mixed at 80vg+ which are designed mostly for drippers and tanks designed to run high VG blends.

Packaging

Blackstone Premium Eliquid is bottled in 30ml glass bottles with child proof glass droppers. I like the classy, sophisticated look of the line. The black labels with silver writing are neat looking and easy to read. The name is BIG and BOLD. The three main flavor components are on every label, but so are the ingredients, nicotine level, expiration date, lot number, and born on date. The size is of course listed as well as the proper warning. Everything is on the Blackstone labels and done in a structured manner that is appealing to the eye!

The JUICE

This is what it is all about: the flavor. We have five to cover. I’m Dori, the head writer, and will kick every flavor off with my thoughts as the team follows. Remember as always, taste is subjective and is in the mouth of the beholder. I do believe I’ve assembled a truly unique team. We all have different palates and I value each opinion of those on my team. Let’s see what we come up with for these for unique blends!!

“Exotic tea’s blended with sweet honey and cream make vaping this premium eliquid truly a state of Zen. Enjoy Zen premium eliquid anytime of day for calming unique vape of its own kind.”

Dori: 5 stars. I really, REALLY enjoyed Zen. I used a Kanger SubTank Mini with a .5ohm coil at 24watts and really had a hard time putting it down. I like the complexity of the Blackstone line and their blends. The exotic tea is fruit based and the honey adds a nice touch of sweetness to the eliquid. Sometimes I get the crème more on the inhale, and others more on the exhale. I like that it changes up a little.

I also tried this with a Popeye RDA with a .4ohm coil build on my Mad modder OKL at 30-40watts. The tea really came out on the inhale this way and there was less of a fruity tone to it. The crème was evident throughout the vape and I seemed to enjoy it even more dripping!! Also, rest assured that each of us changes our cotton completely out between each flavor when we drip to review. If we do use tanks, we change the coils as well. We do not cross over or combine flavors in any way during reviews.

Alicia: 4.75 stars. Now this is different. I can’t say that I’m a tea lover. The only kind I will even drink is sweet iced teaZen Blackstone loaded up with extra sugar. So, I’m not exactly sure what exotic tea is to taste like, but if I had to guess, it’d be somewhat along the lines of Zen. The inhale is a flavorful combination of a somewhat fruity tea mixed with honey. The exhale I get more of the tea at the beginning and then the crème comes in and really rounds it out. I really like this in my RDA rather than a tank. When I tried this in my Delta 2 tank, the fruity tea kind of took more of an earthy type flavor and the honey was muted. It wasn’t bad, but after tasting it in my dripper, I preferred the sweeter side of it. The throat hit is pretty decent and the vapor is good. I can’t see myself adding this to my daily or weekly rotation but it could definitely be one I throw in to play a change up for my taste buds.

Scott: 5 stars. Zen had me a little worried on how it would taste, but this blend was great! The thought of tea, cream, and honey was an amazing mixture. The cream wasn’t a big blast but a nice, subtle hint. The tea mixed extremely well with the honey, making it a slightly sweet mix. Surprisingly, the honey did not overpower the flavor of all 3 making it too sweet. If I could pour this flavor into a glass and drink it and have it taste like it does when you vape it, I would be buying it by the gallons! I could see myself vaping this on a daily basis.

Dana: 3.25 stars. I’m not quite sure what to think of Zen. The label has it listed as Exotic Tea, but that could be describing a number of flavors. I personally taste guava when I vaped this flavor. I get a nice smooth flavor with a hint of honey and cream. Zen is not something that I would personally use, but for those vapers looking for something different, this is for you. I vaped this on a Doge RDA with a .4 ohm coil build on an unregulated box mod.

Blackstone Buccaneer

“Those wanting luxurious tobacco blend with Tahitian vanilla and luscious caramel look no further. (made with no added PG for an intense cloud especially for drippers)”

A SPINFUEL CHOICE AWARD WINNER!

Dori: 5 stars. I couldn’t put Buccaneer down either. It’s rare for me to drip an eLiquid for an entire day straight. I had no problem doing this with Buccaneer! On the inhale, I get a sweet tobacco flavor. This is the Tahitian Vanilla combining with the tobacco I believe. I really enjoy the combination. I get the caramel as I begin to exhale and at times in the inhale. I like the fact that this one changes as well. This is so smooth and rich that I am just really enjoying the combination of flavors and how they blend together. Every hit is a nice treat. Well done again. I vaped the rest of the eliquids at 30-40w on the Mad Modder as well unless noted.

Alicia: 5 stars. I’m still surprised at myself and with how much I love tobacco vapes. Buccaneer is another one that I haveBuccaneer Blackstone easily fallen in love with. The inhale is a great tobacco flavor that really has me hooked. I also get hints of caramel tucked in at times. The exhale brings out the Tahitian vanilla and even more caramel as they swirl together and make it an awesome mixture. The tobacco also makes an appearance in the exhale, but as more of an undertone. The Tahitian vanilla adds sweetness to the caramel and tobacco and I’m really glad they chose to mix it in. I vaped this at first on my GatorBox with my HellBoy RDA built to .23. I loved it so much I switched it over to my Sigelei 150 and my Atlantis 2 tank for my “on the go” choice. This is one I can say I will definitely add to my rotation.

Scott: 5 stars. Ok, I’m not a tobacco fan either, so I was a little hesitant on vaping this one. This tobacco blend changed that. I couldn’t put this one down-the combination of flavors was perfect. The vanilla was amazing with a slightly sweet caramel kick to it. The touch of tobacco with this surprised me. It wasn’t a harsh throat hitting tobacco. It has a nice, smooth, rich taste. The mix of it with the vanilla and caramel gives you the taste of a smooth cigar and the smell of the vape was great. I had alot of people compliment the aroma. I would definitely put this in my every day rotation as I actually already vaped this whole bottle of eliquid!!!

Dana: 5 stars. I was very impressed with Buccaneer! I am not a fan of tobacco liquids, so that should say something good! Buccaneer has a nice, smooth, sweet, tobacco inhale. On the exhale, I taste a sweet caramel and vanilla. The caramel in this flavor is very tasty! I could see adding this flavor to my daily rotation. This is a must try for an avid tobacco lover!! I vaped this using a Doge RDA with a .3 ohm coil build on an unregulated mod.

Blackstone Dreamer

“Dreaming of an amazing Apple pie with French Vanilla Ice Cream drizzled with Caramel? Look no further-we’ve made this Apple Pie A’la mode into a dreamer of a vape.”

Dori: 5 stars. I have to give this 5 stars as well because the flavor is just amazing. I was so excited to get an apple pie flavor without the cinnamon! On the inhale, I taste the lovely apple flavor and the crust. The ice cream comes into play at the tip of the exhale and so does the caramel. I love the flavor as I’m exhaling. I dripped Dreamer with the Popeye RDA on the Mad Modder OKL around 30-40w as well.

Alicia: 4.5 stars. Dreamer is a much milder vape than I was expecting. Most apple pie flavors are pretty strong and haveDreamer Blackstone cinnamon that adds to the boldness of it. Dreamer, however, does not. The apple pie takes a backseat in this as the caramel and vanilla ice cream stand out. The inhale delivers a nice vanilla ice cream that also has tiny hints of apple mixed into it. A downfall for Dreamer is that I can only taste apple, not apple pie. The apple is extremely light and is more of a sweet apple rather than tart. On the exhale, all traces of the apple disappear and the caramel comes through to mix with more of the vanilla ice cream. I wanted to give this a 5, but I was really missing the apple pie taste. Even without it, this is still a good flavor. Since it is more on the mild side, the throat hit is very light but the vapor is still pretty decent.

Scott: 5 stars. This delicious eliquid made me want to close my eyes and dream about eating a piece of apple pie with ice cream drizzled with caramel. DREAMER was a good name for this one. The inhale was like I had just bitten into a piece of home made apple pie with ice cream on top. The exhale is a sweet, rich, creamy flavor and reminds me of caramel and ice cream. The mix of these flavors were amazing and I disagree with Dana-these flavors were spot on-making it a really enjoyable vape. I used an IPV 3 with a Troll RDA with a .3 ohm coil build on it.

Dana: 3 stars. As much as I love a good apple pie eliquid, Dreamer totally missed the mark for me. The only flavor I can get from this flavor is burned caramel flavor. On both the inhale and exhale, this is all I seem to taste. I do not taste even a touch of apple pie nor ice cream, which was very disappointing. I vaped this using a Mad Hatter RDA with a .3 ohm coil build on a regulated mod trying it at various wattages.

Blackstone Blue Seas

“Blackstone’s fruit flavored eliquid with a perfect balance of ripe blueberries juicy pomegranates with a creamy cream base. (made with maximum VG for an intense cloud especially for drippers)”

Dori: 4.25 stars. Blue Seas is a nice smooth vape as well. I like the fruit blend in this one and the cream adds a nice touch. I just think this is a little too sweet for me which is hard to accomplish because I have a sweet tooth. It’s a decent flavor and I do like the cream note, but I enjoy the mellow exhale more than the intense inhale at the 30-40watt range. I raised the watts up to 60w and the sweetness died down a little. I enjoyed it more this way.

I also enjoyed this in the Kanger SubTank Mini at around 24watts on the Smok BEC Pro. The sweetness is spot on when vaping this way. The cream is more pronounced and mellows out the intense sweetness from the fruit on the inhale that I get when I drip. The exhale is a nice blend of the blueberry, pomegranate, and cream. I posted a photo on Facebook of a cloud using this device and eliquid. It produced great vapor production!

Alicia: 5 stars. Blue Seas is a great flavor combination. I wasn’t sure if I would like it with the Pomegranate mixed in, butBlue Seas Blackstone it turns out that it really compliments the blueberry. The inhale is full of blueberries and cream. The cream takes the ripe blueberries and adds just the right touch of sweetness to it to smooth it out. The exhale is more of the blueberries and cream, but with a little twist of pomegranate that adds a really good burst of flavor. Adding the pomegranate at the end really helps with this not becoming too sweet and balances it out perfectly. Like the others, I started with this using my RDA and then switched to a tank. I was happy when the flavor hadn’t altered with the switch. It stayed the same and that added bonus points for me.

Scott: 5 stars. Blue Seas is amazing! The flavor combinations of blueberry, pomegranate, and cream are to the tee. The inhale to me is a delicious mix of cream and blueberry that is really smooth. The exhale has an amazing taste of pomegranate with a hint of blueberry. This mixture made me want more! I had people around me asking what I was vaping and they said that it smelled amazing.

Dana: 3.25 stars. Blue Seas has a minute blueberry flavor and a stronger pomegranate taste on the inhale. I get a little bit of the sweet cream flavor on the exhale. I think the pomegranate is too strong and overpowers the blueberry. I feel if they added more cream flavor, it would be an improvement. I vaped this on a Mad Hatter RDA with a .3 ohm coil build on a regulated mod trying it at various wattages.

Blackstone Devils Fruit

“If the devil had a favorite fruit it would be an amazing watermelon glazed with sugar from the ripest canes. Devil’s fruit eliquid by Blackstone is made with high VG with drippers in mind.”

Dori: 3.5 stars. Devils Fruit has more of a watered down watermelon taste and it seems a little too subtle for it to be the main flavor in the eliquid. On the inhale, I get the flavor of the last bit of a jolly rancher watermelon candy. There is a tiny bit of sweetness, but not as much as I expect to get from an eliquid containing glaze and sugar cane. This is just mild and not as packed with flavor, but yet still smooth and the vapor is still as productive. I used the Gator Box Mod with a .4ohm coil build on a Doge RDA for this one.

Alicia: 4.25 stars. Devils Fruit really reminds me of the watermelon flavor that you get with Watermelon Bubbalicious
Devil's Fruit Blackstonebubble gum. It’s a nice, sweet, artificial watermelon throughout the inhale and exhale. I think the combination of the glaze and sugar cane tone down the candy side of it just a little to make it more of creamy, smooth flavor. While it’s not a true, real watermelon flavor, and I can’t piece out each individual flavor, it’s still good and blended really well. Since this is another smooth and mild vape, the throat hit is light but the vapor production is still good.

Scott: 5 stars. This is a great, refreshing vape. The watermelon with glaze and sugarcane is a little bit on the sweet side, making it a sweet vape. The watermelon flavor is amazing and I disagree with Dori and Dana. It is a nice, cool, refreshing melon flavor that isn’t too overpowering. The sugar and glaze is sweet and able to be tasted with the inhale and exhale. You get a nice cloud and amazing flavor from the minute you inhale to the exhale. This is another one I could see in my box of vape juice. I have to say Blackstone has hit these 5 of the line perfect! All of these flavors were amazing and very flavorful. I would have no problem buying any of these ones!!

Dana: 3.75 stars. As much as I love a good watermelon eliquid, Devils Fruit did not hit the right spot for me. It has a very light, sweet watermelon note, but I agree with Dori and it does not have a strong enough flavor for me. If more watermelon flavor was added, this would be an awesome eliquid. The sweetness was perfect for me though. I vaped this on a Doge RDA with .4 ohm coil build on an unregulated box mod.

CONCLUSION

Blackstone has proven once again that they are a line that deserves the attention they receive! The second round of flavors we reviewed also received at least one 5 star rating for each flavor, and three of the flavors had more than one 5 star this time! The blends are all unique, most of the flavorings are done well, and the eliquid is made with 100% food grade Kosher PG/VG which is something all vendors should use if they can in my opinion. The quality of what you use in your product truly comes out in the flavor at the end. If you would like to place an order, make sure you type in Blackstone in the search window at www.vapefab.com. The prices are really reasonable for a line of this caliber. We will be covering more by Blackstone down the road, and the team and I will be looking forward to sharing our views on those flavors as well!!

As always, the team and I all have a unique way of tasting flavors but you’ll know who you relate to most after you read all of the reviews. We all have our own style. These are our opinions and it is nice to have different views sometimes on the same product.
